it is the natural order of the universe and things that great gravity attracts objects, great objects. Ergo, Earth will follow Venuses past and become a fiery planet while the next in line will develop live and civilisations, as much we understand civilisations. Give or take a few million years, we will be like Venus. it is the natural order of the Universe
As the sun expands, yes. Though Mars is not the likely candidate for the next life-supporting planet. The more likely candidate is Jupiter and Saturn themselves as their atmospheres are blown off by solar wind, revealing their rocky cores. There's even a term for these: chthonian planets. Their advantage of course is that both have magnetospheres protecting them from radiation. Mars has no magnetosphere, which means it's being constantly bombarded by radiation which prevents the formation of complex molecules and thus surface life. No magnetosphere also means it is still bleeding out its atmosphere as it takes the full force of the solar wind. By the time Earth becomes uninhabitable, Mars will have no atmosphere left and will be truly a dead world. It would be more similar to Mercury now.
So the universe gave us an example of what happens when the greenhouse effect is rampant, yet we still were foolish enough to not take the knowledge given to us and continue to destroy this earth, really a shame the damage we did in such a short time.
Most of the people that contribute to pollution don't even care because they would are trying to get as much money as they can and would also be dead by the time pollution actually starts being a serious threat.
