This is really cool, sadly a lot Martial Artists loose all their technique when they fight or spar. These guys really kept their style and technique though. respect.
if you spar often enough, you keep your technique (kinda the point) so they probably spar alot. i have to aplaud them for training properly (unlike certain other people, who think they can learn to swim on dry land)
@@marcopohl4875 well I’ve been training for about 10 years now,n one of the main problems within martial arts especially Kung Fu styles is it dosnt line up with today’s reality, over time a martial art is suppose to evolve,bc times change, ppl change, our minds change,we get smarter over time,u can look up street fights on RUclips n I can tell u they look very different from the time this style of Kung Fu was created,we have to change our training, instead of practicing defense against another Kung Fu style I think it’s important to practice defense against modern day street attacks..rather then moving around n leaving your self open and being a easy target to jus rush in on.every martial arts has to evolve but stay true to there principle at sum point, sometimes things that worked long ago don’t mean they will work now.I think this is a reason why so many ppl move to boxing or kickboxing or jiu jitsu.it’s not that Kung Fu dosnt work,I believe it’s how it’s practiced and jus refuse to try anything new.look at the boxing jab from 1800s and it now,it’s much better,it works better, styles have to change over time but also stay true to there principle.just my opinion tho
It is heartwarming to see genuine kungfu in action, well done sir. Almost 90% practitioners around the world revert to kick boxing throwing away stances and patterns because they were not properly trained. Kungfu patterns when applied skillfully have more advantage in combat than merely kicking and punching. All respect my fellow brothers
If a style has punches and kicks, it can look like kickboxing. This is cool, but there's nothing wrong with non-animal styles looking like kickboxing and less....well, animal-like.
Guess I got here late, you stole my comment, sir. :) I keep seeing more and more fakes who preach "martial arts styles" and then the actual 'fight' looks like kickboxing. It's truly refreshing to see two true martial arts students use their respective art in combat/sparring as well. Well done.
@@sydmcgrath6420 do you know why it looks like kickboxingin sparring? Because kickboxing works. if you tried to use leopard style kungfu in sparring against a kickboxer then you would get your hands broken. pure kung fu is only good against untrained combatants. You waste a lot of energy with all that extra movement. But don't take my word for it, ask shaolin warrior monks. or shaolin disciples who trained with them, like Ranton (youtuber)
I’m a practitioner of Baguazhang, Northern Style Praying Mantis and Fukian Dog Boxing and I must say this is the most insightful way of the animals styles that are more than basic forms of other styles like Shaolin when they are complete styles in their own right.
While in the wild (and perhaps here too if they went full-sparring) the TIGER often overpowers the Leopard. But here, it’s the Leopard that appears the victor. Using its agility and speed. ☯️ Great technique to BOTH.
Don't see many traditional Kung Fu sparring. Most fighters use their Kung Fu as a sort of kickboxing style. Like that you guys are loyal to the traditional style. Not to speak bad about kickboxing Kung Fu, but I like you guys are unique
Hiya shifu, is this actual tiger style ? Or is there a more authentic form than this one ? I see humans trying to emulate how the tiger fights, how it needs one of the highest strength requirements, but in his movements or stances, that isnt visible.
I’m currently trying to teach myself Tiger Style and this is one of the best demonstration I’ve seen of it in action, I was wondering if you give me a couple of tips please in regards to techniques? Thank you very much
RobbieRobertson120 ......sure!!! One of the things that most people do not realize is that Tiger style is a very powerful style because in essence you are imbuing the essence and the spirit of the tiger. With that there is the internal aspect that you will need to develope. I see from what you mentioned that you are trying to teach yourself. Which is great, but at the same time if you want to get deeper with the internal aspect of this style you will have to do some internal work with proper instruction to avoid internal injury.
Hi, thanks very much for getting back to me. The reason I'm teaching myself is because there isn't any Kung Fu teachers who live near me. As for internal work I do a lot of prayer and meditation as well as some beginner chi exercises that I learned either through the materials I'm using to teach myself or from Yoga and Tai Chi which I've sampled in the past. Do you know anywhere that would be a good place to search for chi developing exercises regarding Tiger Kung Fu? Thank you so much.
RobbieRobertson120.......I added some Qigong videos that will help develop your internals even more. This is what I use for developing internal power. Happy training!!! 😊

I personally love those techniques, the (jaguar) technique because hitting with the phalanges on the trachea or sternum is very letters and the (tiger) technique using that claw technique is very useful
This is alan Lee's kungfu school. I was an instructor there years back. You do hand conditioning and finger strengthening exercises so you don't hurt your hand. If you go into the school in manhattan you'll see pictures of them fighting a karate school back in 1967 with no gloves.
Let's be honest y'all, this looks kinda cool but it ain't ever gonna work on its own against other styles (Karate, Boxing, Muay Thai). It's too complicated, risky, and does too little damage to be viable for competition.
@@dmitriciccarelli4082 Not true. Some stances are just plain foolish, like the ones that tell you to "chamber" you punches by bringing your fists down to your waist.

All roads lead to grappling. In the end, western boxers clench and gungfu boxers evidently go for head lock.
When you observe wild cats such as the tigers and leopards fight in the wild, they tend to end their fights in some form of grappling.
