The result says I have atleast 3 fibroids, one anterior, one posterior and one on the right that was sort of exophytic. there were some adhesions between both tubes and ovaries adhesing down the fimria.left tube was able to freed up. The right tube appeared abnormal and had dense adhesions all the way along it, although the fimbria itself was able to freed up. What would be my best option?

Through this disease they took out the left fallopian tube and my right fallopian still has that disease accrdg. to my doctor, the right fallopian its hard to locate cause its hiding supposedly theyll cut it too . My left tube is completely blocked and my right he was able to open it all the way up until the very end so both tubes are blocked. My ob said my best bet is IVF but she’s sending my for a second HSG and hopefully we can get it the rest of the way unblocked. Also she wants to see if it was a muscle spasm.
I honestly don't know how I feel about IVF the success rate is not the best, especially for older women. I feel fertility clinics are better off at getting women to freeze their eggs at 30. It's extremely expensive for numbers that isn't promising and most times ppl require multiple attempts. Science has to come up with a better way to unblock tubes.
Funny how he says that the pain is minimum but is nottttttt 😡😡😡😡it is very painful especially if the doctor try the bigger catheter to unblock the fallopian tube, also the pressure is very Uncomfortable
We have had many patients who have had their HSGs elsewhere (usually the radiology department at a hospital) who have complained about discomfort during the procedure. When those same patients have their HSGs repeated at our center, they almost always say that the procedure was much easier. Typically they say they feel some cramps that are usually less than what they experience during a period. This is especially true with blocked tubes. Some doctors try to "force" the tubes open by increasing the pressure they inject the fluid with - this will cause discomfort. With the use of selective catheters and wires to open tubes, you avoid that and so it is much easier. With proper preparation and technique the HSG can be an easy procedure for most!

There are a number of circumstances in which the dye may fail to go through the tubes OTHER than tubal blockage. Again, if a woman gets pregnant on her own - her tubes are NOT blocked. Sorry we don't know any docs in the U.K. Have you tried Bourne Hall?
@2:02 how casually a man can say "the discomfort level is minimal". Ofcourse you know how it feels when the cervix is grabbed with sharp clamps and cannula placed in and a gush of solution pushed into the tubes and if they are blocked and more force is used, the discomfort is so inexisting!
Exactly. This video made me feel so hopeless. I attempted to have HSG and femvue and could not make it past the catheter insertion. The pain was excruciating for me.

Hi Doc, I'm in the U.K. I suffer with Adhesions in my whole abdomen & pelvis, due to complications from a ruptured Appendix in 2005. I had the dye test revealed both tubes were blocked due to adhesions. We had 3 failed IVFs between 2009-2011. In 2012, I had a surgery to release adhesions ( I've had about 7 surgeries to release them but they grow back. I am not sure I understand your doctor's concern. If both tubes are blocked, they are completely useless, so what kind of "damage" is going to make that any worse? The biggest risk is that it still might not work and then the patient would still need to do IVF anyway. Overall, the risk is about the same as doing an HSG by itself

Also I had a tubal reversal sep 2019, had hsg 1 year after, according to my ob tubes are blocked, according to my tr doctor he said test was poorly done because it’s showing liquid coming out of vagina during test, he said one tub could be blocked and other tube is inconclusive due to liquid stoping at the uterus ( spasm) frustrating that I payed for this test and still don’t know for sure. Hi Doc Thank you for a very informative video. My wife had some complications with her Fallopian tube. One was totally blocked and the other one was partially blocked. The Gynaecologist clipped the one which was partially blocked before we went for an IVF. We had a baby with our first attempt. Later we went back to ask if they can do something for us but gynaecologist said due to a long time being clipped, the second tube is also blocked now and they are not repairable. They also told us that my wife has some other issue including, she produces low number of eggs and those eggs are not even strong enough to grow. So even with an IVF, there are very low chances. When I did the HSG the tube kept on popping out. The DR did not try to remove any blockage whatsoever. My OBGYN didn't even want me doing the exam cause she claimed I was okay since I always have a regular period and ovulate. Now she claims she doubt she can remove any blockage.

Had a surgery to clear out my Fallopian tubes, one was able to be cleared and the other was not. Unfortunately they had to cut me like a c section bc the gas wasn’t inflating my belly so my doctor could see. So I get to start trying in July I get clomid. She said even with one tube I’m still at risk for multiples.

Hi Dr., I had my pelvic ultrasound 2 days ago and they told me that I had one tube fully blocked and other one partially blocked.I’ll see my specialist in 3 weeks but I just keep thinking about it every day about my fertility because I’m 33 and have no kids yet. We would recommend that you have your surgery pictures reviewed by a reproductive endocrinologist to determine the best course of action

Tubes with fluid in them also known as hydrosalpinx cannot be opened except with surgery.
It was very painful for me as well. I couldn’t wait for it to be over with.

Thank you for a very informative video. My wife had some complications with her Fallopian tube. One was totally blocked and the other one was partially blocked. The Gynaecologist clipped the one which was partially blocked before we went for an IVF. We had a baby with our first attempt. Later we went back to ask if they can do something for us but gynaecologist said due to a long time being clipped, the second tube is also blocked now and they are not repairable. They also told us that my wife has some other issue including, she produces low number of eggs and those eggs are not even strong enough to grow. So even with an IVF, there are very low chances.
Could you please advise us if there is anything we can do about that.

I do the hsg on it didn't help doctor said one of my fallopian tubes is not fully block she don't know why I cannot get pregnant
When I did the HSG the tube kept on popping out. The DR did not try to remove any blockage whatsoever. My OBGYN didn't even want me doing the exam cause she claimed I was okay since I always have a regular period and ovulate. Now she claims she doubt she can remove any blockage.

Had a surgery to clear out my Fallopian tubes, one was able to be cleared and the other was not. Unfortunately they had to cut me like a c section bc the gas wasn’t inflating my belly so my doctor could see. So I get to start trying in July I get clomid. She said even with one tube I’m still at risk for multiples.

If your tubes were tied, burned or cut, this method wont work. You would need either surgery or IVF

If you have proximal obstruction, you can attempt to open the tubes with a wire. Otherwise, IVF is the only other alternative

Hi Dr., I had my pelvic ultrasound 2 days ago and they told me that I had one tube fully blocked and other one partially blocked.I’ll see my specialist in 3 weeks but I just keep thinking about it every day about my fertility because I’m 33 and have no kids yet. My question is that why I don’t have any symptoms to show that something wrong with my reproductive system until I had the ultrasound. I have regular periods, my 1st day always heavy flow and had period pain. My cycle is 26-28 days.

Its possible. It mostly depends on where in the tube the blockage is.

Women who have two blocked fallopian tubes have two option for trying to become pregnant. 1) Try to open the fallopian tubes 2) IVF Each option has its pros and cons.

Try serrapaptase read up on natural ways to unblock your tubes. I was also told both of my tubes are blocked after having them open after tubal reversal yes later they end up closing just read upon this natural enzyme you may not need ivf even though this takes away from the doctors doing ivf n other fertility treatments and it may work and it may not but at least give it a try what u have to lose 20000.

This type of blockage is known as a hydrosalpinx. There is no "natural" way to open tubes. It will require surgery or IVF

HSG will only tell you whether the tubes are blocked. It will not provide information about any of functions of the tubes
