I'm an OG Funkateer goin back with Ed Hazel, Billy Bass, Bernie Woo, Junie, Tiki, Jerome, Tyrone, Fuzzy, Calvin, Grady, Ray, Glen, Gary, Tawl, gone but never forgotten, & thanks to Dr. FUNKESTEIN. THE FUNK LIVES ON
& THEY'LL BE NOTHIN BEFORE ME BUT THAT PARLIAFUNKADELICMENT THANG.
I'M BLESSED TO SAY I WAS THERE. WOOF!!!!!!!!! LEAVING TRAMPS BETWEEN 3 AND 4 AM, TO GET TO THE SUBWAY, ON THE WEST SIDE, TO GET TO WORK AT 9 AM WITH NO VOICE BECAUSE I LEFT IT IN TRAMPS. AHHH THOSE WERE THE DAYS, HUMMM, I MEAN NIGHTS TOO.
Good Times...
Easily one of the top five greatest black bands of all time.
wonderful - GEORGE CLINTON
Have been looking for this for years. This was a 3 day mid week run at a little club on 21st street in NYC. Lucky enough to have been at all 3 shows and yes having to go to work the next day. This is one of the greatest runs in history!!! All 3 nites at least 3:30- 4:00 hours. The greatest band of all time at their absolute height.....until the next show... That these things are all coming out now is just crazy. Save this one...
You are absolutely correct, I was there, only difference is I couldn't make it to work after that 4 hr Party!!!
who was the bassist at that time?
@@vadimislearningguitar4977 Jeff Bunn, Lige Curry and Starr Cullars at the end.
@@timkinley9134 We're playing Starr Cullars on our station. Her album is fantastic!
How did you function at work???? LOL!
So glad I came across this one!!!
This has got to be one of the best recordings in history love in every note.
I miss these days
Me too Bruh 😎!
i think i ll watch more than one time
This was a bonified P-funk gathering kinda like a jam session with the P-funk All stars. All the way live & sho' nuff funky, no doubt about it. Being a funkateer from waaaaay back, I was what Bootsy called a geepie. But being a musician, I had a special appreciation for the funk mob. I been funkin' around since the days of I Just Wanna Testify, & that was on single. The second single release was, All Your Goodies Are Gone. These singles were redone & on the Album Chocolate City. The fact that I bees talking Albums gives an indication how long ago that was!!!! This here was a treasure for me to hear. I don't wanna bore y'all but I got some nuggets to drop, but kinda on a personal tip. To be continued when the youngins go cop some zzzzz's.
Yep. My vid. Still have have my 8mm tapes. One of greatest P shows ever.
Thank you Sir Petit for preserving this show, much respect & Positive Everything!

I think I've probably watched/listened to most if not every P-Funk show on RUclips. Some multiple times of course. This just might be the best one here. Deep thanks to everyone involved.

What's the song they keep quoting during mothership connection? I know there are a few, the one I mean the melody is sung and played by the horns but not the words and it's not a p.funk song.
