    I really didn't know that Reaper was so resourceful. With this plugin, all we need to have is a piano.

    Thanks! I only just got Reaper, I play bass but have never used a synth or a DAW before. This was a highly useful tutorial!

    This video is really good, I'm surprised how much you can do with the built-in synth.

    Amazing video Kenny! ReaSynth isn't as pretty as some other synths but it sure does sound really good when you add some modulation and effects. I appreciate you showing all of us how simple it is to do with your video.

    Allright! This is so usefull. By copying a few synths down and using the filter U can really take it to new places. And in the LFO control, try changing the Sine wave to Square, it can get really mindblowing. You can take far out :-D

    Никогда бы не подумал что в Рипере можно нормально крутить звук этим синтом. Но оказывается можно. Хотя ясное дело, что удобные сайлендом или спаером. Кому какой нравится.

    This video won't convert me to use ReaSynth, as there are plenty of excellent free synths that are a bit more user friendly (I like Charlatan, for a super simple synth, others like synth1), but it's certainly one of the best synth tutorials I've ever seen. The only way it could get better would have been to add a JS : scope meter to the video.
    I didn't know the technique of two detuned synths each one on each channel for an amazing sound.

    the way reaper handles midi reminds me of vcvrack a little bit where you have to program and connect all parameters manually, no quality of life. wish you added distortion after the filter envelopes though, that would blow anyone's mind on how drastically timbre would have changed where pre-filter lfo would set "shape" of post-distortion

    I do have one small question regarding my own setup. I only recently bought an akai mpk mini, using reaper and reasynth I am getting a slight static or popping noise whenever i let go of the white or black key.
    would you have any suggestions on how to get rid of this?

    From what I understand it wouldn't be all that difficult from a development standpoint to implement some pretty basic features into this (and other Reaper plugins) that are typically found in other plugins. The decision to not further develop some of these plugins seems kind of eccentric (if not just plain stubborn).

  • @Jazzmasterer
    @Jazzmasterer 7 лет назад

    I wasn't interested in the Reasynth until you showed the parameter modulations and the envelope. Maybe I don't need Synth1. Everything I need is probably in the Reaper plugins!
    Also, is there a way to add an ADSR envelope modulation?

    • @InXLsisDeo
      @InXLsisDeo 7 лет назад

      synth1 can do everything this does and much more, with less aliasing, but the merit of this video is to make you understand the power of a simple synth. You can totally do what you see here with synth1.

      @@vivenzeo with that logic you can fart in mic and start composing from that sample.... p.s it's easy to do, but will take you 10x times longer to do so if you would've originally started on a strong feet. Good luck spending hours tweaking perfect sound when you could spend that time composing.
