Default file permission: 666
Default umask : 022
Final default file permission: 644
Final default permission for a directory is calculated as shown below:
Default directory permission: 777
Default umask: 022
Final default directory permission: 755

Learned about kernal from your video, however, i dont agree when you explained the difference between windows and unix in terms of file permissions. I believe the main difference is the open source for unix, and you can do or make the unix OS do whatever you want. Hence you find unix OS on mobiles, security cameras, small electronics, washing machines etc etc. main difference is open source and closed source in my opinion
