- This is a detailed campus tour video of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur; that I shot once in the morning right after rains, while the weather was pleasant and the campus was at its peak greenery.
I shot the video in September, but didn't get time to edit it or do the voiceover, so, here I am in November, uploading the video!
Do make sure to crank up the quality to the highest video setting that your device permits, as I have shot and edited this at 4k resolution, in 60 FPS.
I have also made a campus tour video back in 2019, and another at night in April 2022, so, do check them out too!
I have covered most places in the video, except the boys' hostel area, which I might do later!

Feeling nostalgic especially when you were in front of the chemical department. The construction of the new academic building started when we were there in 2015. Everything is so changed now.
There are no words to describe the feeling, it almost feels like being present their. Best 4 years of life.

I don't have interest in any specific branch but want a better college also nagpur as a city is better than silchar
About laptops in first year hostels,
This rule is mostly so that you don't sit in your room in first year to either game all day, or to just do something, and not socialize.
Nobody is going to raid your hostel room inside out to check for laptop. Just, be sneaky and cautious when you are using one.
This was a pre-pandemic rule, which has most probably been relaxed post pandemic

VNIT Meta is great, you get lots of core as well as IT jobs.
Professors are good, and the subjects offered are also updated recently to maintain relevancy...
Bro i leave near the campus so is it compulsory to take the hostel or can i be a day scholar.

No, you can be a dayscholar, it's absolutely normal...
PC, well, you can bring, it's kind of risky and I'd suggest you get a laptop.
Sports facilities are OP. All have been recently renovated. You also have a swimming pool now!
@@vedantphuse bhaiya I came to know that NIT Kkr too has a Olympic size pool but only they don't allow students to swim. That's just for sports.

Well, it's good, I have heard that there are some very supportive professors, so teaching and learning will be good.
I'm afraid I don't have an exact idea regarding the placements, so I can't comment about that.

@@Summer69384 Yes Mera bhi man toh hai Jane ka mining mein but family Wale mana kar rahe hain, My mama itself is in NCL Bina Headquarters(not an engineer but is a government employee of higher post), He says mat jana mining mein.
But he says 24-25 lpa ka package abhi experienced engineers ko milta hai with all government facilities with house

You'll definitely have to put in relatively more efforts as compared to other branches, but it is all worth it! ;)

I'm from ECE, so I'll say that while it's definitely not easy, it's vast and extensive. The faculty is a blend of senior as well as new professors, so you can expect different methods of teaching for different subjects.
Some subjects are also hands-on, so the practicals are also taken well.
Average package is 12 LPA (roughly, I don't remember exactly) and highest was 36 LPA CTC.
Coding culture is great
You have Coding Club - ACM, Development Club - Institute Development Club, Google Devlopment Developer Students Club, Hacking Club - SHELL and AI & Robotics Club - IvLabs

How is metallurgy branch in VNIT nagpur???
It's one of the best metallurgy branches.
I have had many friends from Meta who got good Jobs and Further Education opportunities in Meta Core.
They also appreciated the professors, and the syllabus has also been updated for the new education policy

There is no specific area for MTech students... they do have separate hostels, but they work in the same departments.

You will have to get one as soon as possible, as once you join the Winter Semister, heat will continue till early August, till it rains, and then in Summer Semister, it starts getting hot from March beginning till condition of extreme heat in May.

However, you need to learn English as soon as possible, as profs usually teach in English only, as close to half of the student population comes from the southern region of India, and cannot understand Hindi fluently.
English jaisi bhi aati ho chalta hai, bas aani chahiye, and zidd rehni chahiye ki mujhe seekhna hai aur eventually fulently baat bhi karni hai English me.

Yep, as long as you have ID Card, you can enter directly from any gate before 10:30PM (idk the new timings for night)
How are the jobs in material and metallurgy
Both, Core and IT Jobs are offered, it depends on your skills to get the best job possible

I'm already back, so tour won't be possible, all I can say is that Mess in VNIT will be a huge mess, so you'll have to deal with it 😂
Food can be anywhere from super tasty to downright inedible, depending on the day and the menu decided.
Overall, the mess is average, but the canteen is great, and so are the night canteens at chandrama.
You can also get tiffin service from outside, as the college is in the city center, and outside food won't be an issue Nagpur is a city for foodies.
(You can also order through Swiggy/Zomato all day and even at night, and the deliveries will come near Hostel Block 2 Barricade)

It's good, and it will prepare you for everything in the life. It's also one of the more difficult branches, but placement is also proportionately good.
Just an advise- focus on both Core and IT, and then take a call in the third year.

There will be instructors there as well, and the pool will be according to slots.
It'll be included in fees, so no extra charges to pay for anything

I don't have much precise idea about MSc Physics at VNIT, but I can just tell you that we had Physics in the first year, the profs seemed resourceful and helping.
Since you'll be spending your time in the Physics Department, you will get good guidance.

Hostel mil jayega, mess food is average to decent and environment is good from July-Feb, March, April and May get quite hot.

It's good, for EEE, mostly you get to sit for at least 70% of the IT companies that come for CSE, and above that you get core companies as well, so it's a good branch.
For ECE, it's even better as you get around 85% of the IT companies.
As far as I know about the 2022-23 placement data, the number of jobs offered in ECE was more than that for CSE.
In the end, everything depends on your skills and personality.

It's a new branch, but I don't think it has started full-fledged yet.

Civil in VNIT is good, as again, many of my friends from Civil got good core jobs. VNIT Campus is also great and is located in the heart of Nagpur City.
But if ECE branch is your priority, you should do more research about NIT Bhopal
