The narrator isn't even the main character; that's the girl who gets to choose between her boyfriend and this other girl who wants her. Her decision and their reactions to it, which we don't get to see, decide who is a saviour and who is a villain, or maybe there's just a winner and a loser if they're both gracious about it

Never in my life have I felt more power than I did sitting in one of Anna's livestreams back in August, typing "BOYFRIEND BY DOVE CAMERON", and continuing to do so strategically for the next 30 minutes (aka every time I saw chat stop saying the same thing), until Anna actually attempted to sing it before instead saying "hey, do you guys want a cover of this?" So the next time I need evidence that I'm a Slytherin, I can truthfully say that I manipulated a group of people into helping me get my favorite cover artist to sing a specific song.
On a slightly more serious note tho, the power of the internet? hello?! Stuff on the internet usually feels so far away and disconnected from me, but this made me realize how hyperconnected everything actually is. It's insane

This was excellent. A song that really screams your personality as well as showing the spirit of your joy for singing. The beat was amazing, the vocals were on point, and the atmosphere was just gorgeous. I love the almost noir vibe tune in the background and it really makes me feel like I’m dancing a very elegant dance. Plus I just generally love any song sung by Dove Cameron since she has a lovely voice, so its nice that your showing it some love. This was beautiful as always Anna.
