Cool. I like the Uwharrie but most of the time the water is too low to paddle. It is great to catch the water at this level. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Awesome. Are you going to do a video on the trip? I would love to see that. Ever since I visited Michigan back in 2014 I have wanted to paddle the video.
This would be perfect for a little overnighter. If the water is right you might could squeeze in a two night trip. Are you coming up on the 18th of May?
This little section is definitely a dragging section if you do not get some good water. I need to get you on there and do some camping. I was surprised at the amount of spots for camping along this section.
Very cool. You guys are gonna convince me to buy a kayak one of these days! I'm so used to canoes I just don't know... I really need to borrow one and see if I like 'em I reckon.
Good looking river and looked like a fun trip too. If you decide to get rid of that Yukon, Please let me know! I have looked everywhere for one, but yet to find one. Thanks for sharing your trip.
I will tell you I followed the River Kings advice and made some adjustments for this trip. It really changed things for me. It is amazing how the smallest changes make the biggest adjustments in comfort. I really like the way the boat maneuvers. When I come up your way we can trade and let you test drive it on the Tug.
WOOHOO! The NC boys are hittin the water! Spring is HERE! Shane, if you decide you don't like that Yukon, let me know and I'll figure out a way to take off your hands.
I think we could handle that one. Where did you take out? We finally got on Falls, Saturday, it's beautiful. Thanks for sharing another adventure with us, Shane!
We put in at 109 Access and paddled to the Access on Dennis Road. It was a nice easy paddle and there were tons of spots where camping would be easy. Definitely check it out.
Great trip. That was a little rapid.... did you see that wave that took out Steve’s knee? It looked like it was like a 6’ wave. He survived, so I know you will. Lol. You had some great info in this video. I’ll have to get over that way and go kayaking with y’all sometime.
Come on buddy. I like meeting new folks to paddle with. I am wanting to do some more trips this summer and be able to avoid the stealth camping so we can invite anyone and everyone to come along. I always say the more the merrier.
Thanks buddy. I have really been trying to nail down something that I like. I have worked on several options and finally picked this one. I think it might be what I stick with.
One of my favorite spots near my home. I paddled it twice in April and water was at a good level. Have you ever noticed the old tombstones about three quarters of the way down from 109 to Dennis Rd. access on river left? I wanted to check them out last time but the bank looked to muddy and steep.
This was my first time on this section of the Uwharrie. I did not notice the graves. That would be cool. I am gonna have to get back out there now. Can you email me a google pin drop? I am going back down there next month to paddle the same section.
Nice looking river there buddy. I'm missing paddling already. Too cold now and not enough water sown here in Oz. What's happening with the Wondering Monkey these days?
Hey buddy we are just getting started good. Warm weather is here and the rain seems to have finally slowed down. I have paddled with him in about a year. We are doing our own thing these days.
Always a trade off with boats-i went with my Dagger and so happy with it,i was going to get a tsunami but glad i got some rocker in hull,I think if Pete highly recommends the yukon it must be a great boat. The Question is are you comfortable in it?
I love the way it handles and everything about it except for the tight cockpit. It makes it a little difficult for me to get in and out of it. It is such an amazing boat I am going to see if I can work around the cockpit size to give my knees a break and still keep the Yukon.
What a river in North Carolina, the River Kings have not paddled. Maybe it is time for a Turtle Head Boys, River Kings, Tagayak, and Monkey N Around collaboration.
Nice little trip, I've loaded up my yaks and we plan to fish Lake Junaluska today after work.

Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video.
Great video as usual. I'm heading up to the Au Sable River in Michigan in a couple weeks for a 3 day trip. Can't wait.
Awesome. Are you going to do a video on the trip? I would love to see that. Ever since I visited Michigan back in 2014 I have wanted to paddle the video.
Awesome video ! I have been wanting to paddle on the uwharrie river!
Lets hook up for a short overnighter down there. It has lots of potential for camping.
I would like to do a day trip on it sometime.
@@MonkeyNAround heck yeah!! We will have to do that!
@@scottmeacham1738 we are gonna have to get you camping some.

Looks like you caught it with good water flow. Seems I usually see people doing some dragging in the Uwharrie.

Come join us on a trip sometime with the canoe, and we can put you in a kayak too.

Spring is here it has been in the 80s this week. Finally the rain has stopped and the sun came out. I will keep that in mind.
@@MonkeyNAround Just knock the farts outta the seat first.
hey hey! The Yukon mafia here in NC has dibs on that thing!! ;)

Looks fun!!
Thanks buddy. It was a fast little river on this trip. I did not have to paddle much and we finished it up in a little over two hours.
Panned gold out of that river many times.
Oh I need to learn to do that. I have always thought about buying a pan and searching for some gold.
I like the new into, simple and clean!! Great Video as usual!!

The new intro in nice! I know I have got to upgrade my camera now.......and maybe my boat too. Lol
Take a look at the new Bonafide Expedition. I really like it. I want to test drive one of those.

Somehow, I still have never paddled the Uwharrie...hmmmmm. like the intro.
