Hi, how is the primary and secondary stability on the 125? What material is it made of? Thanks.

I am looking at a Tsunami duralight 140 manufactured in 2005. It is supposed to be lighter than the standard Tsunami 140 by about 12 lbs. Do you think there is much change in the hull design since 2005? It is a very good price with rudder but I do not want to buy it thinking I am getting all that is positive about the Tsunami only to find out there was some changes in hull design that makes the 13 year old design not live up to the design of the last 5 years or so. Can you share any info with me?

Hey there! As long as it's in good condition, I would be hard pressed to find a downside to getting a 2005 Tsunami. The changes made since then are largely focused on improving the seat and storage. The hull won't be noticeably different as far as performance. That said, I would tell you to keep in mind that repair parts for a 2005 year model will be harder to come by should something break. Overall though, if the price is good and the kayak is in solid condition, it might make for a good deal for you.

Thank you for your reply. (the 2 pescador 10's we bought from you have served us well by the way) He says it is in excellent condition. I have seen the pics and it looks like it is. Have you ever heard of the duralight version? He says they made them for only a year or two and then went to the fiberglass pro version. Its main thing is it is lighter by about 12 lbs according to the seller. Are you familiar?

We are familiar with it, but I don't think we ever carried it, mainly because our selection was just smaller back when they were being made. I believe that version should only be in the 44ish pound range, so very light for the size.

So I guess the million dollar question would be, What would be a reasonable price for a 2005 Duralite Tsunami 140 with rudder?
