I now remember when Matt first started talking about his public roads driving problem. One great thing about track work is it requires 10/10 attention and concentration. No time to think about anything else.
Just realized how important Mike is to this whole thing. I’m sure many of us can agree OG would definitely not be where it’s at without him. Great job Mike!
Glad to see you hit the track Matt you have evolved which is great. I remember the not track ever Matt. Private track days are the way to go I’ve done it with a couple friends before as well. Plenty fun.
You’ll never feel the true limit till you take it to the track. But I get not wanting to track a high valued car. Smart move to go private and avoid a potential incident with a public group.
One thing you have to stop saying….I freak out…. remember, you say what you want not what you have ..speak I will not freak out. Remember mind over what you speak into existence.
Exactly what I do at the track. Stretch my gt3’s legs a bit. Gets the adrenaline pumping for sure. I don’t time anything. And I don’t push it, just work at being smooth as butter laying down corner after corner. So much fun!
Matt, the grin you had after your session tells it all. You don't give yourself enough credit and as long as you are having fun that is all that matters.
Matt, so great to see you getting out there. I hope that gives you the confidence you need to get back to driving. Small wins along the way is the key to success!
❤ it! This is me and my friends reality hopefully this coming year as well. Good to see you out there enjoying your GT3RS. Look forward to more videos like this one.
Awesome video. Great job on being humble and not trying to chase lap times. I've got a GT4 RS on order and would love to meet you out there in the near future. I also go to Sebring. BTW, if you need a good concierge doctor, let me know.
I clicked for the GT3rs obviously, but lost my mind when I saw that rear quarter window of the 944 on the trailer 😂😂😂😂 never ever thought I’d see a 944 in an OG video.
Cool video. I think it’s a great way to enjoy your beautiful car and for you to get time behind the wheel. Hope you keep progressing to fully enjoy your cars (whatever that means- you decide, not anyone else).
Good on you, Matt, for getting out there and doing what feels manageable; moreover, time is on your side in how you find your comfort zone. Lastly, thank you for your honesty and for taking many of us on a ride as your shotgun passenger. Cheers, mate.
Really happy for you Matt; great to see you enjoy your car on your terms, the hell what people think! It’s a great idea for you and your buddies, good on you!!
Matt's on track! Nice! let's get that 991.1 RS dialed in suspension wise for him and his tires! Mike, reach out happy to get you guys our (Dundon's) suspension package to allow for proper track alignment
Awesome to see you on the track. One suggestion since both of you have PCCB’s is the run Giro Steel rotors and proper pads. You will save a ton of money on pads and rotors. Carbon brakes do last longer on track but not 4 times longer.
It was good to see you back out on track again! I was wondering when I saw the headline for this video what had changed, but then you explained the situation part through the video 👍
Awesome video Matt! I think if you're willing to speak more about your problem maybe you could do a little segment about what you felt comfortable/uncomfortable with when you were on the track, that way there's a way to keep track of your self-progress as well as just opening up more!
I’m glad you decided to do this Matt, I think years prior you were sort of hesitant and had no interest in driving on a track so I hope you had fun and a fresh set of tires👍
You should take a look at the garmin catalyst. Good driver tool and helps give you some basic data to check out after a run and can be a good virtual coach. Keep up the track content!
Great to see you on track Matt, it looked like you enjoyed it and enjoyed your GT3 RS. I’m with you.. Yeah the track is cool but i don’t really care for it, but it’s awesome to see, And if it can help you drive on the roads that’s fantastic. Next time would we be able to have some Go Pro footage of Mike F and Rusty driving too please?
Late on the brakes into a turn and then strong acceleration following the apex because you want to generate a bit of oversteer through the turns so not to compromise speed. The track gets more difficult with speed.
What an awesome day. 40 degrees is pretty cold for performance tires. I won’t take my car out when it’s below 50 as my Sport Cup 2s become hockey pucks. Good thing it warmed up into the 60s. Those engines just love clean, cold air.
I doubt anyone judges mate, your at the track enjoying your car in the manner that you like nothing wrong with that! Next time bring one of videographer Mike would be cool to see more of this day of you and Mike having fun!
Just a thought, I wonder if your condition was disclosed ahead of time for a normal track day if an insurer would have issues allowing you to run. I'm glad to see that you take that into account where everyone knows and made your own track day. That way you don't have someone who is super serious trying to push you around especially in a GT3 where you have so much to lose. I would totally love to participate in a track day like the one you created. I don't have a serious condition but do have pretty high anxiety. I've participated in autox events and in general feel emboldened by being alone in my car. I feel insulated from everyone and the lower number of people around that are friends make it comfortable for me.
Happy to see you and the GT3 on a track Matt. Just one question : why don't you go to 9000rpm (8800 on this one) more often ? This car basically has a race engine, you can enjoy it to its full potential ;-)
Love seeing you get out there man. Would like to come down one day and do it with you. I have a 2024 Mustang GT Performance Package so you’ll have to take it easy on me 😁
Missed the boat on this one..... If you ever have any cancelations might have a fun car or two to bring out. Maybe get you behind the wheel of a Cup car ?
It was a great time. I'm looking forward to the next one and it was certainly good to see Matt back behind the wheel.
Great number plate Mike! 😊
@ I was surprised it was available
@@MikeFigueira-OG Get Matt to get something too!
I now remember when Matt first started talking about his public roads driving problem. One great thing about track work is it requires 10/10 attention and concentration. No time to think about anything else.
Overthinking affects everything, its horrible.
Just realized how important Mike is to this whole thing. I’m sure many of us can agree OG would definitely not be where it’s at without him. Great job Mike!
To be fair Mike could go it alone and be successful Matt puts to much on him
@ what did you mean by he puts too much on him? For me, I really hope he’s gotten more than just a gt3rs.
Happy to see you and the GT3 on a track Matt. Good stuff.
I’d love for Matt to get into track days, and deep dive into how to take care of a car with regular track use! And track tools, and apparel.
Glad to see you hit the track Matt you have evolved which is great. I remember the not track ever Matt. Private track days are the way to go I’ve done it with a couple friends before as well. Plenty fun.
I go every few years. I have never been a never track guy. I just don’t enjoy it.
@@ObsessedGarage you seemed to enjoy this one 👍!
Most track guys have junkie cars. It’s hard to track a nice expensive car with a meticulous owner.
You’ll never feel the true limit till you take it to the track. But I get not wanting to track a high valued car. Smart move to go private and avoid a potential incident with a public group.
It was a great event and pleasure sharing the track with you! Ready for the next one!
Matt it is great seeing you enjoying yourself. I'm looking forward to you getting back on the road again.

Being a follower for a very long time, seeing where you were and to now see you here today is nothing short of amazing.

Awesome event- congrats for stepping out of your comfort zone.
I really like that track and their track days are reasonable priced.
That's awesome Matt! Good to see you out running the cars with the crew! I'd love to run a 3rs out there on track
Awesome! looks like a lot of fun. Keep it up Matt!

The sounds of the GT3 shifts are amazing. Love that.
love seeing you guys enjoy the track. I wish we had a track local that offered that kind of deal. so good!
As an exposure therapist, this is the stuff you do to get your life back. Killer job, Matt!

Love it. Happy to see you back behind the wheel of the RS. Missed this car
OG track coming soon.. good stuff.
Awesome seeing you on the track, Matt. Hope you get over your condition someday. Been watching since S2000 build.

Thanks and keep up the good work guys 🙌🏻

Looking good out there Uncle Matty. The 3RS sounds incredible.

Good work over coming the OCD that comes with tracking the same car you're detailing.
That helmet is so legit….looks like you have a race team!
I’m happy for you Matt great job, keep the faith!
Good on you mate, hoping the strategy works out and you can enjoy everything you have whenever you want
Matt, wondering what draws you to the .1 RS vs the .2?
Also, great to see you out driving. Keep it up.
Looks like fun! Glad to see you out enjoying the car.
so good. Mike and Matt 3RS bros
Great exercise all around. Good for Matt and good for the car.
Im really happy for you Matt. Im proud you got out there man.
Great to see you behind the wheel Matt, that’s what it’s all about.
have you looked into the Motor Enclave in Tampa? Great new track and a friend of mine helped develop it

Mike’s GT3 is perfection IMO
Glad to see you on the track. Been to the firm a couple of times. Not sure what it is, but that cold goes through your bones.

Great video, thanks Matt. Can you tell me what model of wheels are on the two GT3RSs, please?

Sweet idea - Had my GT3 Touring in the GA mountains - in such cold. The tires….well, they were a little slippery in the cold.
I’d love to join in my 992S sometime! I’ve never been there, but been to Sebring a few times. I’m in winter Garden :)

Your new business venture, and maybe an OG race track? Just make it simple to start with, keep it hexagonal in layout 😁
Love this! Some of those trees look a little too close for comfort in the event of a mechanical and / or mistake 😬
@2:03 “we each paid 1250 bucks and we’re going to come 9 times” sounds like a deal tbh 👏🏿
$150 per track day is seriously an insane deal
FINALLY TRACK DAY CONTENT
How does the bumper pull stacker tow behind the truck? Heard that they can be a little sketchy compared to a gooseneck.
It tows very nicely, the more tongue weight the better. At about 1500lbs on the tongue it's a dream to tow.
Looks like a good place to auto cross! I like doing donuts then going in circles . How about some 1/4 mile runs?
Can’t wait for the wash after track video
wild driving a stacker with a lifted, single rear wheel F series. I'd only ever use a dually for that setup.
Haha it's an easy tow for a single rear wheel F350, it's only about 15k lbs which is completely safe and the truck is not lifted it's only leveled.
Why is it SO cold, Matt? Don't you take cold plunge?
Glad to see you driving. Have you checked out adding a walkie talkie to your helmet?
