- HOLD ON, EARTH, VRATSA IS DANCING!
RICHMART VINTAGE project supporting the Bulgarian folklore dances and Bulgarian fashion industry, aiming to establish the brand “MADE IN BULGARIA”
THE MAGIC OF THE BULGARIAN FOLKLORE DANCE CONQUERS THE WORLD! WHY NOT?
1. Establishing the national identity! Bulgarian folklore is the richest folklore in the world in terms of rhythms.
2. Bulgarian folklore dance is one issue which can unite all the Bulgarians in the world.
3. The economic benefits of the project - using the Bulgarian folklore dance we can gain global PR and advertisement of the Bulgarian folklore, tourism and industry as a whole, which would help the establishment of the brand “MADE IN BULGARIA”. /The Bulgarians abroad are 2 million alone. If everyone participates in the project, given it takes 100 people to form traditional Bulgarian dance - that would mean 20,000 videos of Bulgarian folklore dances. Considering the creation of one video costs around 5,000 euro, that would mean the whole campaign is worth 100,000,000 euro!/
4. Bulgarian folklore dances with their unique uneven rhythms are not only Bulgarian’s fortune, but world’s as well.
5. The uneven rhythms have positive impact on the human’s health - THE ACTIVE DANCERS DO NOT SUFFER FROM CANCER OR SPINAL CURVATURE!
Given a scientific explanation, this news would attract huge interest from the whole world!
6. Establishing new Bulgarian folklore dances clubs around the world - new style in the physical activity of a person, which prevents the spinal curvature and cancers.
Let us all celebrate the 24th of May 2015 - the holiday of Bulgarian culture with a traditional Bulgarian folklore dance!
Let us all create one video /length 1-3 minutes/ with Bulgarian folklore dance to support this campaign.
Please, upload the videos with the following name “...your personal name… I LOVE BULGARIAN FOLKLORE DANCES!”
Let us all create a huge media campaign - “Hold on, Earth, Bulgarians are dancing!” Together we can make the whole world look forward to the 24th of May!
We would like to invite all the Bulgarians throughout the world and all the friends of Bulgaria!

This music and dance is probably over 2000 years old. As Balkans we can all keep our own language and traditions. What's important is where we come together in food, drink, music and dance. And that's all that really matters. I hope we can overcome.
What you say can be true, because we dance the same sarba at the weddings in Romania, also geampara, hora, etc😀
Watching from Croatia for the hundredth time. So much joy and skill! We have nothing similar. Bravo!

Am I right in assuming Bulgarians learn these dances as children? Please forgive me if I come across as ignorant, I'm English so I dont know much about the culture but I love the music
Yes, when they are in kinder garden or first grade they have been sign up by their parents in folklore dance clubs and they play and learn there if they like it and want it.
Yes, it is a good exercise, fun and friendship. They sign as children and some continue as adults. They also participate in many festivals and competitions. They travel abroad and stay close all their lives.
Proper job
Nope, these guys are just proffessional dancers ;). Basically, non professionals can not dance like that in Bulgaria. At 90% of the weddings, the normal people can dance couple of simple dances and that is it. The boys here clearly know what they are doing and it is nice when you have such friends at your wedding, but it is not a common thing.
@@genadidimov5206 Speak of yourself. No one can help you if you are a couch potato. Those are clearly NOT professionals but amateurs doing it as a hobby. Many Bulgarians are part of folk clubs. Personally I first learned my first dances at home or at weddings with grandma then with my friends who were part of a folk dancing ensemble, so yes on my own. We also learn folk dancing as part of the PE curriculum. Of course, these days there are many couch potatoes in Bulgarian schools, so they cannot move their feet.
Heyy nai dobri sa nashite muje ❤🎉🎉🎉

strahotno!
Sure beats the "electric slide".
helal olsun
they just casually know the dance
disagree, I think, that all of them were trained for years
UnknownCorner Actually they are not trained in Bulgarian we know this dance since we were little so it is coming from the inside
Elinor Chavdarova, so I got no inside Bulgarian world then since I’m the biggest “дърво” ever existed 🤣
They don't just casually know the dance. They are a trained ensemble of dancers that you can see several videos of who are all friends and go to each others weddings. This particular dance is one of the most difficult Bulgarian dances not to mention the fastest. My mom was a professional folklore dancer and on several competitions throughout Europe they forbade them to dance this because it was too fast and it was not fair to others. I myself was in Bulgarian Folklore Dance class for several years and not even the most advanced students were expected to dance at this level. Most Bulgarians know how to dance some of the more simple dances like Pravo Horo, Ruchenitza, Djangurica and Dunavsko Horo. This particular dance takes a long time and loads of practice to perform like that. These guys are pros and they are awesome at what they do but anybody who says that they know this dance since a child and it comes from inside i dare them to shoot a video of themselves dancing like that and post it
ArseneLupinX they forbade them because it wouldn't be fair to the others? well that just speaks for itself 😁 i loved dancing when i still lived in bulgaria, it was my passion, but then i moved to england and stopped dancing, ive been here for 5 years and dancing is the one thing i miss most about bulgaria! so much effort and its a skill for a lifetime full of weddings😂

When there is a wedding in amy other country, a bunch of guys get drunk and thats it.
When there is a balkan wedding, the men, women, children, elders and cops that came to arrest you for giving alcohol to children get drunk.
:):):)
Wasn't this wedding in Serbia featuring a Bulgarian dance? There is a another identical video, and it says that the wedding is in Serbia. Pozdrav. Super kolo.
+MV M someone stole the video and posting it as "serbian".
That is very, very subjective considering that Serbians (people from Serbia, including Serbs) have a large variety of dances, just like their neighbors Bulgarians and Greeks.
Nevertheless, the dance in the video is fantastic. Someone was mentioning that the dancers are ethnic Bulgarians, but that the wedding took place in Serbia. Rakija brate, samo rakija.
Vratsa is the place - northern Bulgaria!
Nope. Some Serba like to claim.everything Bulgarian as Serbian, so not surprised. this is a wedding in Vratsa, Bulgaria
@@gensunasumus101 not really. Plenty of Serbs like to claim thar things Bulgarian are Serbian...from our dances to our foid and are territory.I have even seen claims that Sofia is a Serbian city.
Whats the name of the song that begins at 1:43?
what is the name of this dance and music??
Name "Horo"! Bulgarian folk musik! Search!
1:54 song name pls

this is funny. music sounds really much like north thace in greece but dance is very different
the greek music is similar to ours mb?
+Веселин Василев yes. bulgarian and thrakian music are alike
+IWillSexU Bulgarian IS thracian!!!
+IWillSexU -just see more for North Greece in world histori(not greek history book)and you find....
Veselin Velikov yes I did. the Northest part of Thraki ( Anatoliki Romilia) used to be greek. Now it's bulgarian. Plovdiv was greek (Filipoupoli).
Please can someone explain how they all knew the dance? Is this something they would have prepared especially for this occasion? Or is it just something they would have know growing up and dancing in these sorts of environments?
If you would visit this nordwest region of Bulgaria, you would enjoy these dances you would see every week-end in restaurants. Thus, you would understand that the dance is in the soul and the heart of every Bulgarian....
Turkey= halay
Greece= zonaradikos
Romania= sarba
Bulgaria= pravo horo

I wonder if they do this at every wedding?
Yes, all Bulgarians are taught traditional folklore dancing from a young age. Some become professional dancers others can still dance all dances without professional training.
balkan weddings demolish XD

cant even dance in ohio
Why they remind me of turks
Because you are Bulgarophob, it is obvious. But either way - nothing in common.
Turks don't dance like this
Maybe those could help you see the similarities and the differences:

Nice dance but Bulgarian people never make an effort to dress respectably at a wedding, they look like there doing the garden.
Why, just because they do not look like Penguins in the same suits. What is the fun by dressing the same and looking boring, it is a wedding not a funeral. That is just snobbery.
@@genadidimov5206 its because ye couldn't be bothered and are not bought up with the same manners as the west also you dont know what and how people dress at a wedding if you think all the men only wear black suits. Its a very important day in a couples life, its called respect.
Romanian dance ...simple as that !
Dominic Gregorio It's a Bulgarian dance actually...
This folk dance is older than Romania by at least 200yrs
Dear Vlah (Dominic Gregoriu). There is no Romania. It is a fake name which was invented in 1859. The Valahian dances are quite different.
@@Bayganu I am not talking about Romania as the country ,but Romanian as is being part of the Romanian culture
