I like that you don’t get to see the plumbing pipes and the house is simple. My understanding of the A frame is that it’s ideal in places there’s snow so that the snow does not accumulate on the roof.
It's not the house that impressed me, the environment was what did it for me. Just imagine hanging outside with a glass full of ice tea on a cool summer evening.
Why A-frame? It is a cheaper way to building using local materials, and combining the roof with the walls. The fact they are good for snow is an advantage that just doesn't apply in this case.
Who else skipped the the conversation done at the door to see the interior 🤣hands up✋it was time wasting .next time let talking come last we Gona watch without skipping
It seems like the W.P have the best business when it comes to building in Africa..and they have a unique house that's similar to Euro and American houses. Built in 3months and now they rent it out for AirBNB..I can't imagine the amount of revenue they will generate from investing return. They seem to have better opportunity than the Africans that live there.
I liked the interviewer. She was so friendly and her questions were what I would have asked. The house is very nice. Well done to them for building this.
You can admit easily that the home owner / builder was very attracted to the host in a sexual manner. I mean I can't blame him she it's rather nice. But that human connection was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Cool house though none the less
Here in Canada we have great government regulations that help increase the build price substantially so few can afford this beautiful sustainable home. Where there is a possible cheap build, there is government red tape to increase the cost so it's no longer affordable for the low wage earners. No, no, no you're not allowed to pay off your home quickly on a labour salary, at least not here in Canada. High prices rule and you're not allowed to own property outright, only the house, then yearly property rental agreement,(known as property tax). This home itself will be $70 to $100kplus in Canada. We love cheap things to be expensive, the Canadian Way.
You have done a wonderful job at presenting this! Your knowledge about building and physical beauty, mixed with being kind and friendly make such a lovely and balanced combination. Not easy being a female business owner (or presenting on RUclips). You're doing a great job. ❤
hello am from kenya , nanyuki and am an engineer working on a similar a-frame home but use of timber on my project is the only difference ... awesome home❤
‼️ 1. He took credit for bringing the idea of the A structure build, when Africa has built with A structures for centuries. 2. How did his family get to own the land that his wife referred to? She also referred to foreigners abroad being the main people who stay there.. 🤔 So subtly / passively existent there. Interesting. From NYC, love to all. Bless.
I'm Kenyan and there are many Kenyan of British descent...4 generations born in Kenya. I don't know about these 2, but understand that just like the Europeans who settled in the U.S centuries ago, there are folks who also settled in Kenya besides the colonialism, as far back as the 13th 15th century Chinese, Arabs were at the coast.
Amoaa !! Lovely to watch you from Kenya .l wish we can have the same A frame shape buildings in the cool mountains of Ghana as simple natural sustainable living in the forest green areas ! Well done 👍
Ive become addicted to your channel since discovering your content. I have been saying for a long time that in a few years i will be living abroad and continuing my minimalist way of living. I LOVE EVERYTHING that ive seen and will be planning a trip to Africa (Ghana) soon! Thanks for the content and YOU are a beautiful!!! Thank you for your expertise!
Omg! I was looking for this comment. I noticed the same thing! I said to myself she has a subtle stank attitude and acts like she doesn't want to do this.
Karen is ranked among the top 10 luxury hotspots in the world. The cost of land there is very expensive. That cost of that house is a dot compared to the price of the land it sits on. Infact, it is quite common for actual houses alone to cost much less than the land. When you add the cost of land then the property prices get very high.
It’s beautiful, the only uncertainty for me is having to go down those steep stairs in the middle of the night to relieve oneself while half asleep or tipsy!
Amoaa, I am from Limuru Kenya and the "A Frame" design would really siut my environment well. Very well presented show as usual with good detail. I would like to see the designs of the improvements Thor has made from the prototype. Thank you for sharing his contact and for sharing the experience of this unique house design.
Nice small property. Love the A Frame concept but not for a permanent home for me, maybe a getaway home. Also this area is one of the most expensive areas in Nairobi. That land will cost at least $100K depending on the size.
Nice house very well done, a little disturbing that it says couple built considering there is a sexual tension between the two video hosts as tall as Mount Everest! But other than that nicely done on the house too bad you had to chop down that tree that was so special. Trees grow back plant a couple more and you will be good.😊
I have fallen in love with A-frames recently. I have started some new designs and have put up my first animation for a simple A-frame sleepout on my channel.
Hi, are the Drawing architectural constructions files for sale?? I would like to duplicate this project in Baja California, Mexico. Please advice on this. Thank You!!
Lol, well they didn't have to buy the land, it's the guy's parents land. I agree though. I think he's lying. He was stalling too much when she asked and his body language was off.
I am watching this episode and I am reminded of a RUclips channel called #Boxhop it has beautiful A Frame homes rented as airbnb of even people living in them in America. In all different climates. I like how they did the water.

Beautiful house. I love ❤️ it
Kitchen is a wow!
You know the thing
This is beautiful , we need this in Ghana
In the country sides of Ghana surrounded by natural green self sustainable living !! would be lovely 😀
Doesn't snow there. Snow is why A-frames exist. Looks nice !

Shalom, Salaam Alaikum, A frame house are all over the North Carolina Mountains! I luv the blue bedding! Also luv Amoaa s dress n hairstyle!
Fell in love with A-frames three years ago. Amoaa, any hope of finding an architect who can help with these builds in Ghana?
Get in touch.
A-frame homes go back 10 thousand years. Remember the great pyramids in Egypt!
Pyramids are different. A frames are a bit simpler.
True.. sooo he was wrong when he said it’s a new for the people from there. Gotchya. 🤓
35 k ????? I can't even get the permit for that money here in Cali. Great job
So do it in Africa!

Not surprised.

Same exact situation in America. It's sad and unnecessary.
Thor please move to North Carolina! I'll keep you busy building A-frames ;)

hahaaaaaaa Americans with there racism card in everything
I would love to stay at this A frame airbnb in Nairobi. I saved the video for a future trip to Kenya.
Gorgeous design, but I’d expect this would cost over $100,000 to build in the US.
This is a truly beautiful, modern, minimalist design. Love it!!! ❤
Contacts please

Great design the bathroom is so sad you need to sync against the wall with the mirror and use the light from the window to see what you’re doing

The wife in this video seemed so awkward in her interaction with Amoaa. The home is beautiful and serene
Ofcourse
The guy isn't much of a talker. Lol

@thekisianganipodcast Yeah his vibe was off too.
Anything is POSSIBLE in our beautiful Motherland AFRICA with great minds who think alike and have a VISION. 🌍🌍 🇬🇭 🇰🇪👊
Love it!
Thanks for this lovely episode on such unique property! I like the way it’s nestled in greenery and the space is just 😍…Merry Christmas to you.
It's so beautiful! Merry Christmas to you too!
Beautiful and warm A-frame house, Thank you for taking me around this beautiful house.
I wish I could get this built in the US for $35k i would get one tomorrow
It's not a home if it's an Airbnb.
I love A-frames they are so unique and visually appealing. Thanks so much for sharing.
They really are! This is the first I have seen in person and I was so so fascinated by it. Thanks for watching, Tamika!
I want one! Retiring soon … how about the land?

Beautiful A- Frame building ❤
Just the other day I was thinking of building a house like this which reminded me of my childhood home.
It was made of rocks and had a thatched roof.
How can i get in touch with the architect, will be glad if i get response on the same
Good afternoon,do you guys delivery in the USA?
I just can't do it because you're sacrificing so much space and storage
It’s beautiful, the only uncertainty for me is having to go down those steep stairs in the middle of the night to relieve oneself while half asleep or tipsy!
We don’t really need promotion of yt ppls business they get enough as it is
Where is your idea we promote it.??!! In fact, no one is forcing you to watch Thor's work.

I would like to see the designs of the improvements Thor has made from the prototype. Thank you for sharing his contact and for sharing the experience of this unique house design.
I just bought a plot of land in Naivasha and I think I'll be contacting his company for a slightly modified version of this prototype.
says cement is un eco-friendly cement, then replaces wood with steel. Its a nice house but it's not ecofriendly, lets be clear.
Less problems with termites and fluctuating humidity
i will pay $60k US cash if you can come to this US and build this exactly on my land?,,,Please// lol
You cant compare ;cost of materials and labour between Kenya and the US for a start will raise the cost
😂
MashaAllah beautiful architecture 👌🏼🔥❤️

Yes in Kenya that's possible
Amooa, is there any way we reach the architect ? Or any contact with him ? , we are interested in building the same
That porch will eventually rot from rain.
Dear Amoaa, how do I contact you. I need a contact for one of your builders. I am a ghanian living in uk.
Do you have the blue prints?
Where is the location of this place in Karen
Windy Ridge. Very quiet area.
Great content
Wonderful dream house my wish I want to live here permanently ❤❤❤❤
I love the home but i think the mirror doesn't match the style

Awesome build, but the superstructure could do with a few tweeks, the foundations are far to many and wrong sections and placements
Kindly share the contacts of the builder. I want to construct a similar one in the village. Thank you.
I have fallen in love with A-frames recently. I have started some new designs and have put up my first animation for a simple A-frame sleepout on my channel.

Does your company build in the United States as well?
Always concerned with their carbon footprint but never live in a thatch hut with dirt floor. Hmmm...not that concerned.
very cute pup
does the price tag include the furnishing
cool downstairs, zero storage for clothes or appliances seems like it would be impossible to live in or stay longer than a day or 2.
