  • Birds need adequate space for movement and exercise as well as areas to nest and roost. For roadrunners, you should have 10 birds per square metre (0.1 square metres for each bird) in the house, and at least 1 square metre per bird in the outside run/rang

    Good job my brother ...I use red chillies to control worms in my flock....just plant your chillie trees and cut them up when they are ripe and add to feed ...I have always used chillie and have never had a case of worms.

      Thank you for your message and for support. If you have access to plot of land l suggest planning where you want to establish what farm activity. You could start cropping or create structures if considering animal husbandry.
      In our case land clearing was one of the tasks we had to undertake and fencing areas to safeguard against encroaching neighbours animals. I am pleased you have a passion for farming you will not regret it once you embark on the journey. We are now off rain season if it was still rain season you could start with sweet potatoes as it’s less capital intensive or grow vegetable to local folks at larger scale. Water is always critical aspect to consider you need access to clean water.

    Hello Sir. How did u construct that outside, raised storage gumpoles shelter? How big is it? How did u do its raised base(floor)? Thanks

    • @farmingzimbabwe-overlowfar5656
      @farmingzimbabwe-overlowfar5656  Год назад

      We used locally acquired Mupangara trees, it’s not gum poles we just removed the bark them used fire to burn top layer of poles to minimise termites attack. It’s enough to carry 7 tonne dry maize.

      @@farmingzimbabwe-overlowfar5656 thanks for the infor. But but i cant get the how part? What did u put on the floor so that your produce does not fall down? also the estimated size.

      Okay we put net like the blue net you find on part of our chicken run. I was lucky someone donated it to me. We just installed thick poles in the corners, in between and some lateral poles to create frame for elevated floor. It’s all logs and nails.
      I hope this is of help
