    I can only imagine how much pain the guy who holds his pads goes through...

  • @57worldwide
    @57worldwide 13 лет назад

    @CFVEful It's technique. Breathing out sharply makes your body tense - if you strike and are breathing in, a counter to the body will not take the wind out of you (assuming your body is conditioned).
    In contrast, if you can hit someone in the body as they are drawing breath (breathing in), you can knock the wind out of them. That's what makes you feel winded, and one reason core strength and conditioning is important.

    Instead of simply going up and down showing off power and speed, these few sets of consecutive kicks are destinctively swinging from the flank to the centre line exemplifying the motion and rhythm of thai kicks.

    @yobro250 - typical nobody talking crap on youtube.
    'the best' at what?
    He is a Thai fighter foremost - and in Muay Thai there is an emphasis on fighting AT LEG RANGE. The boxing system in Muay Thai is a consequence of the fact that elbows, knees and clinching are allowed at close range. This affects and limits what you can do with western boxing skills. So its not exactly Marquess of Queensberry is it? So why should you expect him to be good at just 'boxing'? They are two different things.

    To anyone who says he's been 'mediocre' in his last fights... what do you know? Heh. Wins are mediocre? Coming back from almost getting KO'd and making Dida look like a C-level fighter. Tooling Holtzen and making him look pathetic. Beating JWP in full rules in Jamaica decisively. What the hell Buakaw are YOU seeing?

    @yobro250 The thing is muay thai uses punch and elbow together. Boxing is nothing against it. But in almost every country apart of Thailand doesn't allow elbow with an excuse that it's too dangerous. Thailand deducted 70% of martial arts to make this thing a sport because in the old days some fighters died.It's about when the coward foreigners will be ok with some death rate.In the old days we didn't use gloves and you guys asked for it! thirstofink did you now GSP goerge saint piere ? he is a kyokushin black belt and I think that he can beat Buakaw

    • @Gigachaddy
      @Gigachaddy 11 лет назад +1

      1080Mega he will beat him in mma but not kickboxing...im not even a buakaw fan, and i think kyokushin is cool (i was a big andy hug fan) but most kumite/kyoushin fights dont allow punching to the face and that changes the whole dynamic of fighting. they keep their hands way too low( because they dont need to block punches) but kyokushin is good a style to have aslong as you mix it with an art that incorporates punches like boxing ,muay thai, kickboxing. best example i can give you is bas rutten. the only fighter ive ever seen that can fight a pure kyokushin style is katsunori kikuno
