Yes yes I am a cancer moon as well and I can totally relate. Perhaps it has something to do with not being heard or 'feeling ' like you're not being taken seriously. From the other person's perspective it's not that serious to them because they can't feel to that same degree as us...unless they are another water moon like Pisces or even Scorpio.

It's also likely that many of them have been conditioned to _dislike_ emotions, deeming them to be negative, instead of actually comprehending and _harnessing that gift,_ thus negate, repress and even _suppress_ them. Yep, my grandma was so strict on me! I wanted to be nothing like my biological mother. Yep, once I get mad those tears roll down and then that makes even more pissed. I am an empath and can feel other people’s feelings and I have to isolate myself to recharge. Yep, I’m private as hell, but transparent when I fell like it. I’m loyal to a fault and it sucks, because I don’t get the same. I am the strong friend for EVERYONE!! You hit this right on the nail!

Used to be easily forgiving, emotional doormat for people I deemed the closest, took a lot of crap from my emotionally demanding, toxic, clingy mother. All of my relationships would end up with me sobbing in silence, feeling unworthy.
Cutting myself from mother was a start of my emotional maturity and self-care. Setting boundaries with my closest friends showed me who truly matters. Fortunately, I've always been self-reliant and independent, but deep down, I yearned for closure, hug, love, feeling like I belong somewhere and etc. I realized I needed to put my happiness and satisfaction first, and only those I personally deem worthy should deserve my generosity, protectiveness, cuz I'm aware how giving I can actually be. I still struggle with showing my emotions (quite private and protective of them), I'm not soft with words, but the way I show I care is through actions.
However, my Cancer Moon knows when to use its claws, and Aries Sun is ready to beat the living shit out of anyone who attacks my crabby and tries to take it for granted. ;)
I’m a Aries sun and cancer moon too. This is exactly how I feel. I just started college and being away from home has been so beneficial and I’ve been putting new boundaries down.
Aries sun and Cancer moon here. It was hard growing up because I grew up in a household with two Aries as my parents that didn't know how to connect to me on that emotional part. That part is what I needed.
Once I moved out I had to learn so much lol I was used to fighting everything and everyone growing up. Now I have a more balanced emotional awareness.
It's important for us to understand how our emotions work so we don't lash out and be petty or revengeful. I'm such a sensitive and empathic person and I grew to love that about me. I use that to fuel my manifestations and ideas. Since I'm still outspoken as an Aries I tend to forget that I give a lot. A lot! People came to me to talk about their problems and I'd be there for them. I'd be so much in my feelings and in their problems. I went through shit to help them fix them. But they wouldn't do the same for me. which is all good now. I have cut a lot of people out of my life now and I set boundaries to the ones who are in my life. Or will be. That's because Im protecting myself before I end up beating their asses. I'll still be there for them but I do filter out for who I can and for who I won't.
I love being a cancer moon. It's such a beautiful, powerful, soft energy. And energy that can feel people's emotions and can help to be a listening ear. But we gotta know how to regulate our emotions and feel out what is ours and what is not. I filter them out so I can be myself, while still be there for others but not be draining myself anymore like a I used to. Follow/study your intuition and the cycles of the moon. you'll learn all that you need.

I’m Aries sun cancer moon! I used to really HATE my emotional + sensitive nature. I’m starting to appreciate the duality we have- independent and fiery, but able to emotional connect with and understand people! I’m still working on protecting my sensitive heart😬😂 It can also be hard bc I want completely different things all at once due to my conflicting sun/moon.

Girl, when I said you were speaking truth! It's as if you saw right through me or understood me. I'm a cancer and I definitely look upon the past, not necessarily because I want to but because my mind takes me back to that place. I think I hold on to some of those painful moments in my life out of fear of making a mistake again, but I had to learn to pray and let those things go so I can live in the present and become a better version of myself. I definitely cry alot lol and my mother was definitely suffocating, like I couldn't do as much as my other friends without her being there or having my family beside me. Another truth you said is I definitely thought about having a family at a young age and thank God I didn't because I've definitely been hurt and unfortunately that carried with me because currently I have hard time opening myself to other people. Me and my mom are bad with time so it was already hard to find the time I was born. Majority my life I thought I was born at one time(making me a fire moon and no water in my natal chart). Come to find out i must've actually been born a different time, making me a cancer moon and a lot of sudden other water in my chart. I couldn't even look at costar for a month I was so heart broken😂 I turned from hot girl to crybaby bih but I've always been that way and I guess now it makes sense. I used to hate it and I still kinda feel gross and weak about it, but it has its pros too. It explains why I couldn't handle people lying to me because I always knew like even as a child I just intuitively knew things babies shouldn't know. Its a whole to cope with rn tbh but il trying to learn to come to terms with this yall pray for me haha

Moon in cancer in the 12th house. Incredibly emotional. Weird as fuck relationship with my mum. She had many traumas that impacted how she treated us kid but especially me. I think it was hard for her to get close to me as a girl as she had a mother who had also been through such awful experiences in her life and didn’t show mum love at all. I feel sad for us all but I am excited to turn the tragic into magic for us all and let my mum and her husband retire and have the best rest of her life🙂
