I know they spend all day everyday around vintage guitars, but the fact that Mark can spot aftermarket tuners on a guitar he hasn’t seen before in 2 seconds flat is bloody impressive.
I have no words.. i dream with only one of this guitars. Brazilians cant take it so easy.

Starting to become my favorite channel. Sort of like reality TV for hard core musicians. Good god you guys get to see some amazing instruments. All the best of the best. Unreal.

Oh my God. Openning those cases was just clean clean clean. Phenominal condition. Utterly amazing. Both, the guitars themselves and Norman being the buyer. Lots of knowledge there.... What a collection of guitars.
That's a huge investment. Beautiful guitars and good to see that these older guitars will find a good new home.

norm, I got a 93 Robin medley,mahog. body,curly maple top,flame maple neck,tobacco burst.traded a 1980 Dean elite for it,and went to rocking Robin and picked it out in 93.is it vintage,and what's it worth?sustain and tone endless.i love it.generally stands out around all other guitars.

They’re so clean though. Here’s a challenge - go on Ebay/Reverb and see if you can even find a 1990s guitar that is as clean as these. And these are 1960s/70s.

haha this guy is amaizing, I adore him, he went to the store and says, ok you can close now because I will buy it all :) he does not sit in the office, he helps take out the guitar from truck, the best boss, and in his store guys have the best job in the world :)

The thing is, when you’re Norm, you can just put it in your warehouse for 5 years and wait for the guitar market to appreciate. There’s very little risk. I can afford to deal vintage guitars, and have done in the past, but I’d never do it these days, just because it’s easy to get burned if you need a relatively fast turnover!
I’ve bought beautiful 50s and 60s Gibsons and Fenders before, really cheap/wholesale, with the intention of flipping them, and thought I can’t lose on them............but seriously, if the market stinks then they’re just impossible to sell for a good price. But guys like Norm can just wait the market out, and sell when he wants. So can’t really lose.
But saying that, to get from where he started, to where he is now, is no fluke. It’s decades of research, hard work, and astute buying decisions. The likes of which 99% people wouldn’t be able to do. He’s like the Warren Buffet of the guitar world! He’s only the king now because of years/decades of very smart decisions

As much as I Love GOTD, I also love these, "Norm goes Wild and buys a lot of Cool guitars." I have to watch it again and see if there's something I can afford...

Refugeefromcalif Looking @ the cases, Most... are not "Vintage" many reissues & "newer" guitars. Should be affordable. I bought 2 guitars from Norm in Miami, ( before the term "Vintage" ) Ed's became the only "good stuff" dealer, aprox 78`. Imagine... @ that time, No "Net" , price guide, LOTS of Mom & pop stores, Pawnshop's who had NO IDEA.. Bonamassa's dad was in the biz, up north, I remember buying 50's LP's for $1,500 max ! ( Those were the days ! )

I heard Norm rejected Rory Gallagher’s Strat because it was too beat up and missing it’s hang tags.
I gasped.
Is this video unwatchable for anyone else because it just buffers and buffers?? Tried for two days now. Can watch anything else. Just not this one. VERY PISSED OFF.
Yep same issue for me too ... drove me crazy watching in short bursts between the buffering ... thought the bad old days of dial up internet had returned !!!

Price is way too high. One of the most beautiful sounding amps ever made though.
It is beautiful to see a bunch of history and arts here. The sad thing is that this good stuff could go away along with Norm. His son doesn't seem to be really interested; he just sits on his ass checking Fb. Sad scene.
