I showed Atif the song on the drive up to NYC and I asked him to put his own interpretation and vocal style into it. We didn't want a carbon copy of the original- everyone's already heard that. The band loved Atif's performance and so did the house full of Goras. We wanted something new and we are doing this project to show Americans the good people and music of Pakistan and to help bring love and support to Pakistan's children. Hey People! Atif's voice can be heard better in the other versions of this performance which are also posted on You Tube. It just depends on where the video camera was within the auditorium. The sound mix was actually quite good in the room, but this camera was right at the front row, where the vocals were not as high in the mix because it's picking up more stage volume than "mixed" sound through the main speakers. Also the type of microphone on the camera can also affect recording quality

classical part was awesome but ....atif just killed the essense of that song wish you are here..cpz its a song for sadness...looks like he is enjoing ...but this song had been written by rodger federer and david gilmore for the loss of syd barret..i don,t know how can they sing any song without knowing the actual story behind it...any way i know atif aslam's fan will be so angry on me but i don't care..
