Q2) How about Mr Spahn's other work, "Untold Adventures"? I find this one would be interesting for a Conan-style setting. I also like the "Types" feature in the Appendix, which is a way to introduce some light mechanical variation in the two base classes. Q3) Lastly, have you read through Iron Falcon? I've recently been reading some OD&D materials, and I'm a fan of both the text and layout of Iron Falcon. Cheers!

Add White Box Gothic for some interesting games. Willow by Lazy Litch is a good setting to use.
