I have a question about adjective. If i say: Muhammad the merchant went to the market. In arabic you say: (محمد التاجر دهب إلى السوق) Is the word merchant a adjective in this sentence? Because i hear from most peoples that words like merchant, student sleeper or engineer are not adjectives. But i think these words can be adjective. the word (التاجر) must be (نَعْت) here, it cant be the (خَبَر)

I think that adjective are the only words that can change from gender. like the word big, you can say (كبير) or (كبيرة). The word merchant can also change from gender (تاجر) or (تاجرة). I understand now you question the noun in Arabic is masculine or feminine, so مبتدأ and خبر must have the both gender Some times the خبر can be جملة فعلية محمد يدرس في المدرسة So the sentence يدرس في المدرسة is خبر خبر can be شبه جملة Like محمد في الحديقة So في الحديقة is خبر شبه جملة (consists of حرف جر +noun (feminine or masculine)
