    I have a question about adjective.
    If i say: Muhammad the merchant went to the market.
    In arabic you say: (محمد التاجر دهب إلى السوق)
    Is the word merchant a adjective in this sentence?
    Because i hear from most peoples that words like merchant, student sleeper or engineer are not adjectives. But i think these words can be adjective.
    the word (التاجر) must be (نَعْت) here, it cant be the (خَبَر)

    • @MyArabicJourneyWithMohammed
      @MyArabicJourneyWithMohammed  2 года назад

      You are welcome, Thanks for your question التاجر here is بدل مطابق not adjective.

    • @zackf1064
      @zackf1064 2 года назад

      @@MyArabicJourneyWithMohammed Alright (التاجر) is (بدل) i was wrong.
      I have a other question about adjective.
      I think that adjective are the only words that can change from gender. like the word big, you can say (كبير) or (كبيرة). The word merchant can also change from gender (تاجر) or (تاجرة). So i think that merchant can be a adjective in some places.
      I have a other question, but this one is about (مبتدأ) and (خبر).
      The (مبتدأ) and the (خبر) must have the same gender, for example (محمد كبير) or (محمد تاجر) and if the (مبتدأ) is feminine you say (فاطمة كبيرة) or (فاطمة تاجرة). But is that always true? What if the (خبر) cant change from gender. Then how can the (مبتدأ) and (خبر) have the same gender?

      Give me example.

    • @zackf1064
      @zackf1064 2 года назад +1

      @@MyArabicJourneyWithMohammed I dont have a example when merchant coms as a adjective but still, this word can change from gender just like any adjective. Are you trying to tell me that they are words that can change from gender like (طالبة - طالب) (تاجرة - تاجر) (مهندسة - مهندس) but they can never be adjective, if thats all i need to remember them my first question is answered.
      My secend question is about (مبتدأ) and (خبر), they both must have the same gender. If the (مبتدأ) is masculine then the (خبر) must be masculine too. For example (محمد كبير) or (محمد تاجر) and if the (مبتدأ) is feminine then the (خبر) must be feminine too (فاطمة كبيرة) or (فاطمة تاجرة). But that can only happen if the (خبر) can change from gender. I dont have a example of a (خبر) that cant change from gender. So that means that the (خبر) can always change from gender so that you can make it the same gender as the (مبتدأ).
      i hope that i understand it very clear

      I understand now you question the noun in Arabic is masculine or feminine, so مبتدأ and خبر must have the both gender
      Some times the خبر can be جملة فعلية
      محمد يدرس في المدرسة
      So the sentence يدرس في المدرسة is خبر
      خبر can be شبه جملة
      Like محمد في الحديقة
      So في الحديقة is خبر شبه جملة (consists of حرف جر +noun (feminine or masculine)
