I've been playing on my rane one for about 3 months now....and after getting use to everything you pointed out, gotta say i love it. Not having on board fx isn't an issue for me, because prior to this i was using denon controllers, which don't have on board fx. The off center took some getting use to, but now its 2nd nature. But everything else is rock solid.
Great video! Agree on a lot of the points you made. Hey just curious with your music management series, when will you drop that video on how you organize all your crates? Looking forward to seeing that one!
Appreciate it brother. Loved watching your set on twitch also. Glad I don’t have big hands LOL. This is number one on my list, but I might change my mind. I’m also very OCD about control distances and things being centered. It’s just looks odd from the overhead cam. Just my opinion
Thanks for the video. I’m currently rly using my technics and windy conditions cause the vinyl to go flying! Does the vinyl piece in the rane one have weight to hold down the acrylic vinyl?
Great review! I just flew to Israel with my new rane one for a cruise ship contract. For portability alone it’s fantastic! I have noticed some of the physical issues you pointed out re: symmetry and compactness too, but after a couple of sets the hands do adjust and the pros far outweigh the cons
One of the things he didnt mention is the soundcard in it is top of the line, so it can actually be used in a club set up and sound great on a big system as well. I think they did that to make up for the lack of on board fx, but it is a major value point to think about when considering the price. It is literally the cheapest controller that uses that high quality of sound car. Rev7 is the 2nd.
I have this controller I used it with a 2019 Mac book pro with Touch Bar and external hard drive . The issues I’m have when playing my battery usage on the lab top run down really fast and the wave forms in serato freezes and the audio sounds static and my Mac book Pro shuts off even when it plugged in while playing. Because too much power usage. Question Should I also do the midi mapping in serato?and what can I do to resolve the issues .when my controller is connected it tends drain my battery usage on my laptop even when it plugged in .I also use this controller on my late 2013 iMac and I have no issues. can you plz help to resolve my issues thanks in advance
I think you need to take your mac in to be serviced. That should NEVER happen to any fairly recent mac product. Your board or power module needs to be fixed.
The complaints are petty, the SRT keeps its price with effects and 4 channels by making it out of plastic and shitty mic preamps. Want onboard effects pay 1800 Want wave forms pay 2000 add four channels 2200. And the reason why the platters mirror is because it’s for turntable DJs that has never ever bought a controller not for the next controller for a controller dj

Great honest review. Nick Spinelli had the same complaint about the spacing of the decks :)
I wish there was a controller with a high pass filter and limiter on the mic inputs...that would be really awesome.
Thanks for the honest review

Thanks Jason, looks good for wedding and private events.

@@Jason_Jani thanks will do 🤝
No issues to me... I love it... Bout to put the white skins on it
They will put sound board effects to the rane 2.
Sure hope so

Really nice controller but no onboard FX not a big fan of the Serato FX. I feel for the price point at $1,599 this controller should have built in FX.

I guess. I prefer my 12s or cdjs and a s11 or s9 anyday all the way.
