    Thank you for sharing, just a quickie, what are you using to record and edit video?

      It really depends upon which computer I'm using. I started with Camtasia on a Windows machine, but I've been moving over to the combination of OBS/Kdenlive on Linux. At some point, I hope to do everything on Linux.

    Thanks! As far as i understand proc get's the information about the kernel from the kernel itself..but this is a too shallow explanation in my opinion, how exactly does the kernel collect the information it makes available in proc?

      Well, that's a good question, and I unfortunately don't have a good answer. Your best bet would be to ask this of a Linux kernel programmer.

    Donnie ! .... what in the name of the creator of Linux have you thought, when you selected your terminal colors? .... Dark pink on pitch black ... not very eye-friendly.
