I’m sorry that people are so rude. I don’t see them doing videos. I loved the garden center pots hack. Living longer of course we know some of these hacks but not all of them. Thank you.
I love the hacks for saving on compost by using only 1/3 of old soil and also the coffee filter hack! I am 78 years old and have arthritis! I mostly do container gardening! My wonderful husband built me a garden shed that I can stand and do my potting, etc!! Thank you for this wonderful sight! Hope to see more of your hacks!!
Hi Sandra! It's wonderful to hear that you found the compost and coffee filter hacks useful! 🌸 Container gardening is such a great way to enjoy plants, especially with arthritis. Your husband sounds amazing for building those containers for you! Keep enjoying your gardening journey, and let me know if you discover any new hacks along the way! 🌼
I bought a sturdy garden wagon made of tent canvas from Walmart for $50. I use it almost every day to haul, instead of carrying, things around and have the container of my tools in it. I consider it my best tool in my garden.
Hi there! That garden wagon from Walmart sounds like a fantastic investment! 🛒 It’s great to hear how much use you’re getting out of it. Having a portable container for your tools is such a smart idea. Keep up the great work, and happy hauling! 🌸
My garden is full of plants and trees given or planted by families and relatives. Some plants were given by my friends. So many memories engulfed in this very small parcel of land.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🌿 I'm delighted that you found the gardening tips valuable. If there's anything specific you'd like to learn more about, just let me know. Wishing you a wonderful time in your garden! 🌱

Keep your garden tools in a small tool box or even a sturdy light bag and take them with you. The small tools are very light. Shovels are another issue unless you have a small shed near your garden.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that the guidance was helpful to you, especially all the way from India! 🌿 If you have any specific gardening questions or need more tips, feel free to ask. Happy gardening!
Regarding putting filler pot upside down, may I suggest taping or gluing a piece of screening over the hole of the larger planter so you're not giving that area home to slugs, pincher bugs and other annoying insects a home.
I have a rolling garden cart that I fill with tools and pull around the yard. It also provides a place to sit and rest or weed/prune while seated. It has a padded top that is removable to use as a kneeling pad, although I have purchased a larger one, as well. I've also used it many times to carry heavy items including my pop-up bag full of weeds/trimmings!
Wow, that rolling garden cart sounds like a game-changer! It’s so versatile and makes gardening more comfortable and efficient. Thank you for sharing such a great tip-I’m sure it will inspire others to try it out too!
I see she’s kneeling! I had knee surgery many years ago and I can’t kneel! My husband built me raised beds with old windows! I have arthritis in my fingers so I can’t cut plastic bottles, but I can use the plastic zip lock freezer bags!
Hi June! Thanks for your comment! 🌿 Moving large stones with PVC pipes can indeed seem a bit daunting, but it’s all about using the right technique and taking safety precautions. If you ever decide to try it, make sure to have someone assist you and take it slow. Safety first! Let me know if you have any other gardening questions. Happy gardening! 🌱
@ I had two tons of granite boulders delivered to my driveway . Largest 30” diameter. Started by tipping my metal wheel barrel on its side . Crow bar fulcrum point with a smaller rock and easily flipped the larger boulder into the wheel barrel . With help , ( teenage sons )moved to backyard on stamped concrete walkway . Not on grass . So I made a track @ 4-5 pvc pipes wide. Then tethered the boulder to a chain and made a pulley attached to a stone pilaster .Easily slid the boulders across the lawn. Replacing forward tracks from the rear . Hope it helps .
These are old ideas and you talk to us like we are feeble and dumb. There is no need to talk down, over explain as if we are children How do you think we became elderly gardeners
I felt the same way but keep in mind is Artificial Intelligence doing the talking not a person, the robot kept saying I been doing this for years, what a joke, is a machine talking, jajajaj

I really need to get one of those pop-up bags. They are lightweight and so useful. Thanks Margr for the reminder. 👍🥰❤️ Liz
Instead of a mailbox just use a small container you can grab when you go out. Use a garden wagon to carry it.

BTW….I heard the mailbox idea from a younger gardener also😉
That’s awesome! It’s great to see gardening tips being shared across generations. Have you tried it yourself?
I always used screening for the bottom of my pots. It lasts forever.
That’s a great tip! Screening really helps with drainage and keeps soil in place. Thanks for sharing!

Great tips ! I would have to see moving a large stone with PVC pipes. That sounds danger to me

I’ve landscaped for 50 years with large granite accent boulders. Slid them on PVC pipes .
A short video would be welcome on how to move heavy stones.
Thanks.
