Just took an ironing board, old roaster, tops, coats, Dora dvd’s, and partial yarn balls to the St Vincent DePauls! What a good feeling, thanks for your motivational video! I am eager to find more things I don’t need.
Living in a trailer park often precludes having a garage or even a covered area to park a vehicle. So one ends up becoming a minimalist. Keeping only what is necessary, while preventing adding more of anything to the mix.
Little Lending Libraries are a great way to 'trim the fat' off one's shelves of books. There are no Goodwill's, Deseret Industry or Salvation Army stores, or any charity for donations for really 'inexpensive' goods here. Everything is over an hour's drive away. We have several consignment stores yet they take 55% off the top for their overhead, which is unfortunate if you think it's a great way to split costs.
If you have someone you are planning to send a "care package" to -- get a basket, place the items you intend to send to this person in it. Don't change your plan by thinking you'll be adding to the basket later on putting it off, instead of getting a start on this now! Or move anything out of it; once you start! -- That way all items will be accounted for when it is time to pack it all in a box, then mail! No more wondering where you set this (or that) for your person's special care package.
Many thrift store do not like to receive books. I plan this spring to set up a couple of tables an put STUFF out for Free. If it helps someone that will be great. Last fall someone stopped and took everything. If they sell it and have $$$ for groceries I will feel good about it.
I will let you know how it goes. I told a friend today what my plans are, and he also thought it was a good idea. Lots of people are having trouble buying groceries. I also plan to donate to two different churches, plus the Humane Society. They also have a large garage sale and ask for donations. Gift it where it is appreciated.

That’s amazing! It must feel so rewarding to clear out and donate those items. Keep up the great work-every little bit makes a difference!

My Grandmother was born in 1913. I remember her telling me about her father's first automobile, radio, the Great Depression, World War II.
What an incredible family history! It’s amazing to hear stories from those who lived through such major events.

I'm 75. I toss, recycle, or give away at least 20 items each day. Tina, Al's wife
That’s an amazing habit, Tina! Decluttering a little each day makes such a big difference over time. Keep up the great work!

That’s a wonderful idea! Giving items away for free can really help others while also clearing space. Hope your spring setup goes well!
That is kind of you!

I do this too 😊
Very motivating 😊
So glad you found it motivating! Decluttering can be a refreshing and freeing experience.
My cousin needs to watch this since she hoards everything. 😮
Hopefully, this video gives her some inspiration to declutter! It’s amazing how freeing it can be.
Always rearranging and never resolving. Yep. That's me.
You’re not alone! Decluttering is a journey, but every small step helps move toward real change.
My grandchild and I partially cleaned out a bedroom last night. Way, Way too much stuff. Hoarder!
Cleaning out a bedroom is a huge accomplishment! It’s surprising how much stuff accumulates over time. Great job taking action!

That’s understandable! Expenses can really add up, and prioritizing essentials is key.

So what of it, matters not.
The length of this is much, much better. Ten minutes would be best. Good content in most but way, way too lengthy!
Thanks for the feedback! We’ll keep that in mind when working on future videos-glad you found the content valuable!
