I agree. If you buy repros you can even fade from rigid too. I’ve tried a few brands at this point and Sugar Cane 1947 and 1966 are my personal favorites.
I found a pair of USA made 501s from 1993 at the bins a week ago for $1.50 which are really sturdy and fit me perfect. I agree with Alex. Spending hundreds for jeans that are not durable is a waste .
i agree with all the comments saying to but LVC, not only do you get the selvage and style of any year you like most, but instead of buying someone else’s story, you can make a brand new story with your brand new jeans, i own a brand new pair of lvc 1922’s and a used pair of 1890’s, they look vintage but without high coast and risk of testing :))
Yeah bro I have an early 50s pair I wear for personal but the more I wear them the more problems form and the overall denim just becomes weaker. They’re just not durable jeans. Will probably end up getting them repaired once they become unwearable and just sell after without touching them again, which will be very soon. But I might take that advice and just get redlines for my next pair, or dark big Es for a good enough price

I do custom Levi’s. 80’s are my favorite:) Forever jeans!
I would say have them glued.
These are not lvc right? These are the original 1950s deadstock?
