To support better your voice you should learn how to breath using your diaphragm, you should be able to control how much air you use to sing and that's one thing Sooyoung can do, that's why sometime she has that half-singing half-speaking way of singing =) And pitchy means that she can't stay in tune very often, it one of the basic things. She was really bad in her debut years, things were a mess, but she got better now, she can sing in pitch more often but not enough to be considered average, and even if she could sing in pitch all the time, it would only increase her weak to average rating, because it's not only pitch that puts you in the average area, you need to support your voice too
