Making a series about a major rehab like this is fun to watch but also drives his channel. Keep it up I love this series! Maybe he will build a house from scratch on the next series 🤙

Contact your electric provider and see if you can relocate where you wires run to your house, if the wires a problem/eye sore.

I am so loving your videos. They showed up on my feed today, Sunday, and I've been binge watching them. Reminds me of when my husband and I would work on our house and boats, except for all the cussing. Ours, not yours. A couple of things I'd like to point out: when busting out windows, do yourself a favor and duct tape a big "X" or "*" on the glass first - makes clean up alot better; speaking of windows, when flashing windows with butyl tape its my understanding that your not supposed to put it under the window. Just top and sides so that in case any moisture gets behind it it will have a way to get out; finally, ***when buying a large amount of material from Lowes or Home Depot, take your stuff to the contractors check out, ask to speak to the manager and negotiate a better price.*** You can save alot of money! Great job so far!🎉

You would have a field day looking at the crap the previous owners did to my house. When they renovated it to have the upstairs be a "proper" upstairs with rooms and AC, they put the AC vents in, but did not allow crawl space access. Everything is completely sealed up. And that is just one of many many issues that we discovered after we bought the house.
Seriously, the inspection reporting was so bad that the inspector completely missed the open window in the master bedroom hidden behind the duct tape heavy blinds. but yeah, the top of the window was open. The floors are sloped. and not that they sloped and caved over time. You can see along the wall where one side is taller than the other.
For a split second the title made me think it was an abandoned resort video from off the ranch. Pain.

Your project difficulties are a lot like mine. get in a groove and something breaks.
I have the same issues with Ryobi chainsaws (gas)! I finally gave up and went to Stihl. I am a THD employee and a "team green" person, but the chain saws just suck!

Instead of a pergola there which might still be on the short side what about building a roof addition perpendicular to existing roofline that comes down to meet section that juts out? Keeping roof addition open underneath would give a real sense of elevation to the space
When life gives you chainsaw, you break it and then fix it. Then break it again. and then fix it. Then break it some more. into the trash it goes. lol. Good ol cat cutting tool works.

At one point during the garage rebuild you said it would likely be better to just tear it down and rebuild it. I am no sure it's not the same deal with the house. It does look like a tear down and rebuild job.

Exactly my own thoughts. A complete demo job would be entertaining as hell to watch as he's doing it in sections. If local zoning allows, he should just build his dream shop and call it a day trying to fix this money pit!

It's honestly a good thing someone with your skill and resources bought this house. Some DIY flipper would not have gone to the lengths you are and someone down the line would have paid the price for it. Ended up being great content tho! Keep up the awesome job.

You should cut it to make sure you have at least 24” of over hang to protect the wall and windows. From sun and rain. Plus 24” is the minimum for looks anything under that is ugly.
The ego battery powered saw has a much simpler way to reset the blade. No extra tools needed

They still live in the same house. He stated in his Instagram yesterday its a project house with a possible to rent out but bot sure yet until complete 🙂
The last house was his personal residence. I can't remember what he said exactly about this house. In the first episode of this series he said it was either going to be a flip, long term rental, or short term rental.
