Yes sir... still going strong this combo . This was when we first got the tractor and chopper . Actually had out 4440 on the chopper at first and switched to the 4430 and the 4430 has been running it since ... still works like a gem.
Nice video. I like the old school equipment and have that tractor in my Farming Simulator 19 game so it is nice to see the real one. My dad had a old Massey Harris tractor and we used it on our small acreage so old school is good school IMO. Grand Pa had several old Deeres and their square baler too.
@@thejudster7505 I am in Manitoba , Canada. My Grand Pa had a farm in the Interlake region and it was cattle and hay and pigs. Family farm, 6 kids, chickens, sold milk and cream and self sufficient. I remember horsing around with his 1960's JD tractors ( wish I knew the model numbers now ). Pulling switches and shifting gears in the barn. Apparently he was not happy when I left the ignition on one weekend and drained the battery. LOL. PA is beautiful country.
@@yurizhivago4848 oh ok Canada. I miss understood u there. My kids do the same to there pap and move and turn keys on and he gets mad lol we we're all young once .
@@thejudster7505 Yeah I remember the old Chevy truck we had with the starter pedal on the floor and gas tank behind the seat too. I rebuilt lots of carburetors on our cars and changed clutches and pressure plates. Now everything is fuel injected and electronic and not much you can do to anything anymore. Grand Pa was from Czechoslovakia and fought in WW1 ( against his will by the Germans ) and tough as nails. I miss growing up and visiting the farm now. PA is beautiful country and with the Amish TV shows I got to see lots of it. We have some of them in Manitoba too. Lots of Hutterites here.
Hi there sorry so long 2 reply 2 ur comment. We r framing in South western Pennsylvania and we r dairy farmers. The 4430 runs really good super nice tractor . We normally use a 4440 on the chopper and decided 2 use the 4430 on it this year worked great. It's not as steep as it looks. Plus tractor holds good .
Am I wrong or is he running backwards my dad always said Nascar drive fast turn left on the farm drive fast turn right u won't have a mess in cornering
Im not a Deere fan boy per say but damn thats a sweet ol vintage set of gear right there, helped feed this land.
