This 3 way headlight mod with light bar install is too easy!!!! Polaris Sportsman

- This is the install of the AK offroad harness for the 3 way headlight mod on a 2019 Polaris Sportsman 570. The stock Polaris Sportsman 570 turns on the two lower lights for low beams, and only the upper light for high beams. With this harness the high beams turns on all three lights. I also installed new LED bulbs in all light housings along with installing a light bar that connects direct to the AK offroad harness. This install was so simple and there is no need for cutting, splicing, or soldering wires. Check out the video for details.
This was my first video trying to talk and video and do work at the same time so its not the best. I also say bolts instead of screws and mess up some other things.

Thanks for taking the time to share your video. I ordered the 3 way kit. I wanted to keep my light bar separate from the other 3. In my minds eye there may be too much light if you are running all 4 lights at once if your working on something or someones elses bike on the trail at night. Great video.

I know the 850's have 1000's have had it for a short period now, so not surprised the new redesigned 2021 has it. BTW, I love the new 2021's!!

I don't think anyone understands why Polaris doesn't have all three lights work for high beams from the factory. lol. hoping to have some more polaris related content up once this whole coronavirus passes. My 2020 sportsman XP 1000 Trail Edition has the led lights from factory and all three lights work on high....finally. I just need this for the Wife's 2007 sportsman 500.

The two wires are the live accessory inputs most commonly used for the hand warmers if installed

I contacted Adrian today to see about ordering this for mine. I ride in the desert (think canyons and fissures) and I need all the light I can get. I have the 450 HO, but I believe the wiring is the same.
Awesome! I just replied to your email also in case you need additional information. I'm pretty sure the wiring is identical, but I'm sure he has a harness for you either way. Ask him about the LED pods he also sells for additional lighting!

Thanks for making this video. I think I can handle this. How do you like the 570? Do you think you're missing the features of the SP model? Like power steering and the engine braking system? I'm trying to decide if the extra money is worth it for those features.
I love the 570. Bought it late in the year last year so haven't gotten much riding in on it especially now with the restrictions from covid-19 and trails being closed. I have the EPS model. I love the power steering and would recommend it, even with the additional dollars to buy this model. The EBS doesn't bother me, but it is noticeable how it slows you down when you let off the throttle. I guess its beneficial. For me personally, the SP wasn't worth the extra dollars, but everyone has their own wants and needs. The headlight mod was super easy.
Dad Tech TV the EBS will lighten up once it is broken in a little. I hated it in the beginning due to the sudden stopping, but know I really enjoy it.

I purchased the harness and I connected it just how I see in the video but for what ever reason when I try turning on my headlights my fuse blows out.

So I have a couple of questions. 1 would be will that fit on a 2019 polaris sportsman 570 and 2 being how exactly do we confirm this is a good product, there's not exactly a review section on this kit.
Hi John. My Polaris in this video is a 2019 570, so it will work. As for additional reviews, if you have facebook, check all the polaris groups on there. You will find many people who have installed this kit and will give you feedback. That is how I found the kit.

what about the 2021 model with led light? on the polaris marketing videos you can see all the 3 lights on. Moreover the new head and rear lights are gorgeous, they look like the 850
I've seen pictures of the new 2021, but haven't seen one in person yet. I love the look and great upgrade with the led lights straight from the factory. I'm pretty the 850 and 1000 had the three lights turn on from factory, so its possible they finally did that on the 570 and 450. I need to stop by my dealer soon just to have a look.
@@DadTechTV I confirm that the 3 lights work together on the 2021 sportsman.
At least for the european versions that we have here, they are made in Poland and are street legal from the factory (with backmirrors, sidelights and horn).

No issues. Lights have been consistent. No issues with the harness. No issues with the battery.

So I had a problem my high beam led light and light bar only will flicker will not go on bright what could be my problem? My low beams work fine

I just finished up the 3 light mod with the light bar myself. Want sort of camera are you using for filming? And editing software. I use a gopro hero7 black.
Porkchop's Off-road Adventure, I hope you like your light bar as much as I do. I am shooting most content with a gopro hero 8 black. I feel like it was just released and already the 9 is out. I also have an old gopro 3 black, but haven't used that for any of my content so far. I have shot some quick footage with my iphone 11 also. As for editing software I have mostly been using adobe premiere elements. I did recently find davinci resolve, and started playing around with the great coloring you can do in there. What are you using for editing software?
@@DadTechTV I feel the same way after I got mine. The 8 came out right after and now the 9. Feel so behind. But no complaints on the 7 so no need yet to upgrade. I just got into editing. First just used the gopro quik. Doesn't do that bad if your only doing short videos. Currently on a trial for Sony Vegas pro 18. Not sure how I'm liking it yet.

If you want the lid to stay up, take the screws out that hold the retaining wire, the wire is twisted, straighten it and reconnect, bam! Stays up!

@@DadTechTV it was super annoying at first kept falling on my hand or my head so I was going to replace the wire then when I took the screws out I noticed the wire coiled up and just needed to be held straight out and that gave the extra length for it to stay open.
Yes!!! so annoying. Every time I stop to grab a drink or have lunch on a long ride.

How does your battery hold up with all four lights on.?
I haven't had any issues with my battery. I have another video of a battery tender I purchased, but I do not put it on my battery regularly. I've been out with all my lights on including light bar, and it hasn't affected my battery at all. Turn the machine off, and it start right back up.

What led lights did you go with?
i only went with LED bulbs, not full replacement lights. The bulbs were part of the package provided by AK Offroad, so not sure of the specific brand. Hi Daniel. Everything is still working well without any problems. The three way headlight mod still works as expected, the led's are still bright, and the light bar is still mounted the same and just as great. Riding in Pennsylvania is extremely rocky in some areas, so everything has been knocked around a bit without issue.

My 2018 570 SP has all 3 lights on when on highbeams. Weird.
I know the newer 850’s come with all three working on high beams. Maybe the 570 SP model did too? I’ll have to check that out.

My 2019 polaris sportsman 570 already comes with the 3 way lights
I’ve seen the 850’s and 1000’s have it. And certain 2021 570 models, but hadn’t heard of any 2019’s coming with it from the factory. Very cool that yours does!
U need better lights those led lights r the worse u need ones that is only left and right ull notice a difference
