I mean not necessarily. The protagonist literally has Dialga and Palkia at their side whenever they need them. Idk what happens in the true endgame when you confront Arceus, but theoretically, they could send him/herself and Ingo back to their own times/dimensions whenever they wanted with Arceus, Dialga and Palkia's powers

legends arceus gave me a huge appreciation for ingo, i can definitely see why the duo is so popular in japan now. memorable designs, charismatic personality? all there. and to top it off, ingo has become one of the most well written characters in the series, up there with the likes of N and Zinnia for me. that’s insane for an optional battle facility boss. i wish they remixed this for his battle in legends arceus tho

This community should stop expecting remixed music all the time. He was a warden in Hisui, thus he has the Warden theme. Same the swords of justice in the swsh dlc, they are just regular Pokemon with no big story behind and only act as regular encounter. They aren't the heroes from Unova, just the three (or four) who help Pokemon in the Crown Tundra. Thus they get the regular Wild Battle theme.
@@mipho5899 ok yeah but pokemon have done it for trainers not in their respective regions, like bw cynthia could have had bw trainer theme bc shes just a trainer in bw, but she had a remix of her champion theme, same with red and blue etc, im not saying that they have to, but you can understand where its coming from, even a slight motif could have been cool.
Man, I can't imagine Emmet right now wondering where his brother is. Imagine the subway battles shut down so that he can try to find him. And when Ingo returns he finds out what happens to his brother and cries finding out he spent his years searching for him. That would make a dark moment in pokemon games
I like to imagine that Yes,the Battle subway shut down mostly because Emmet decided to go missing at his own will to find Ingo. It would also make a cool plot point seeing Emmet maybe as a time-traveller,knowing how characetrs can pass through Ultra-Wormholes and not lose thier memory. (Ex. Guzma,Lusamine,USUM/SM protagonist,Gladion/Lillie's dad...)
It would be even darker if Ingo never found his way home, and after years of searching, Emmet gives up all hope of learning what happened to him. He doesn’t have the heart to run the Battle Subway without his brother, so it shuts down permanently. Emmet’s life falls apart, and after what seems like an eternity of depression and loneliness, Emmet finds a picture in an old book about the Sinnoh region. And there, in his tattered subway uniform, is his brother, standing in a photo taken over a century in the past and obviously long dead. Emmet found his brother. He was just far, far too late. Even worse, imagine Emmet heading to Sinnoh, an absolute wreck, determined to prove that what he found is *wrong*. But then he arrives at the founders’ cemetery in Jubilife City and finds Ingo’s grave there.
You know what, that’s probably what they’re setting it up for, they’re too lazy to put the battle Subway into black 3 and white 3. So they put one of them into another game, and have the other guy standing in front of the station saying that it’s closed, crying.
What i really hope for in gen nine is a reverse faller. Someone from the past getting transported to modern times would probably be pretty interesting.
Ingo being straight up yoinked into ancient Sinnoh had BETTER be addressed in the inevitable gen 5 remakes. It could be something big like him straight up being missing, or something small like him mentioning having odd dreams about Sinnoh lately. Whether that means he got home from Hisui safely or that Arceus is just about to snatch him would be entirely up to interpretation then. I just really hope it gets some acknowledgement, because these two inseparable identical twins being worlds apart needs to be explored at least a *little* bit.
@@Pokefan-jz4eq Sequels and remakes are not the same thing, so no, there are not gen 5 remakes. Also, pokemon has a habit of mentioning things in past games in future ones, even going as far as to use whole characters being pulled around as Easter eggs. Looker is a wonderful example of this. Let’s tone down the pessimism a few notches, ok?
just casually shuts down the entire Battle Subway because Ingo is gone and Emmet just can't handle the strain of running the entire thing practically by himself even worse, what if you can find Emmet in his apartment or whatever giving a few lines of dialogue on how his twin brother mysteriously vanished into thin air some time ago and how much he misses him but if the player has a finished file on Legends Arceus, the player can give Emmet a little memento of Ingo which would just obliterate my heart
I wish they'd do a BW3 as opposed to a BW remake. I love BW and its sequels (gen 5 is the best gen imo) but I'd rather we see something entirely new from Unova instead.
Side effects include : Strokes, Snapping half the pokemon, Accidently sending yourself to an alternate universe with weird Mega evolution things, Hearing loss, Death, Becoming a Weeb.
😊I really like these guys. Just not really their mouths tbh. I dunno why, but somethin about their mouths always seemed a bit odd and freaked me out a bit when I was little😅😂
As a person who ranked the Gen 5 games as their favorite, I can say seeing Ingo in Legends Arceus was a wonderful and horrible experience. Wonderful because I remember beating Ingo and Emmet so seeing him again brought back memories of that excitement. It was also horrible because Ingo's amnesia pretty much made him nearly forget about his Chandelure and Emmet, but his speaking habits remained somewhat intact.
I just love how the majority of this comment section is talking about how funny these two look. Honestly. They look stiff in those clothes... like they would have to waddle to get around.

Quotes by Ingo/Emmet: Ingo: "Don't worry about losing. This is just a test run before our official launch. We're just trying out different scenarios. That's why you're here." Emmet: "That's right. We're observing the reactions of a trainer who can't even win a single battle."
I’ve grown to really enjoy Ingo’s role in LA. He’s in the same position too. He was brought to the Hisui region just like you. However, he had no memories or no explanation for why he is here. The way he sort of regains a bit of his memory, especially the bond between Pokémon and Trainer, was honestly very wholesome. Also, he smiles when you beat him in his rematch and it made me happy.
His addition makes a ton of sense when you think about it. He’s an expert on both battling and cooperation, both things that the Diamond and Pearl clans had a lot to learn in. He kinda represents the beautiful future that can come as a result of peaceful coexistence.
If I had a nickel for every time Pokémon decided to take a character away from their loved ones, throw em’ in a wormhole, and make them gain amnesia, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice. Seriously tho, why does Gamefreak insist on shattering my heart in this way

I wish we could have gotten Emmet in Legends Arceus as well. Just the mention of my favorite Pokémon Eelektross in a gen 8 game would’ve made me happy, especially since Ingo talks about Chandelure during the cave dialogue.
That moment you realize, that’s the same exact Ingo as warden Ingo from PLA. Imagine suddenly sent to the past by an unknown force into a ancient region for unknown reasons, losing your memories and Pokemons in the process. And while you’re doing good at the region, including joining Lrida’s Pearl Clan and become one of their wardens, due to losing your memories you can’t go back to Unova, back to your time and your brother, not even able to think of going back.
Imagine Emmet, wakes up, can't find his brother anywhere. They were partners who would never be apart, now alone, forever. Ingo, being stranded in the past will probably die of old age. And Emmet, now depressing, running the subway, alone. Missing person posters are all around the city, with his brother's face on them...
In Makoto Shinkai films, trains symbolizes the separation of time and space. Shinkai uses trains in his work as a visual representation of a barrier to human connection and themes such as longing and loneliness. This pretty sums up on what happening on both Ingo and Emmet.
It probably also helps that one of Japan's most famous children's novels is a story that features trains and separation - Night on the Galactic Railroad.
@@8pierrot89 Thank you for this. I scan some information and analysis of that book, and I also found some possible connections of it to Pokemon's lore. The protagonist's name is Giovanni lol, the "galactic" imagery of the novel and its relation to religion Buddism is similar to the goals of modern Team Galactic, Trains that relates separation, and the milky way galaxy in the novel is kinda similar to Distortion world. Actually there is a lot more if we go deeper but it will takes too much time.
@@yangwenlifangirl I personally bought and watched the bluray for the film version...! A lot of stuff ends up inspired by that novel. So I'm not surprised in the slightest if one could make a whole video talking about Night on the Galactic Railroad and the Pokemon franchise, haha
You gotta feel bad for Emmet though really. Imagine, your brother disappeared from this world, you think he's gone forever, and even if he comes back he doesn't remember you at all.
I'm just saying that Pokemon doesnt forget their counter parts, I bet Emmet will come back in a different legends story, though a Celebi centered one is the only one where I could imagine any time travel ever happening The thought of a random semi present character returning as a plot point for a future game never accurred to me especially a game set in the past and well it makes Ingo all the more interesting and loveable, People say gamefreaks bad but I feel like theyre just restraining themselves, yes on what they can do in their games but also on what their mainline stories are supposed to look like because if they didn't we'd have stories like arceus in every game! Then again a complaint iv'e heard a lot about in every pokemon game is the dialog and story being too prevalent. for some reason lore is actually a complaint.
When they can be bothered Gamefreak writer is a damn good storyteller and character creator. We can have a great story like in BW or HG/SS, character development in Lillie, or straight up despicable character like Ghetsis.
Well Black and White had a whole Futuristic vs Traditional theme so maybe Emmet will be in a pokemon game set in the future? Just a little thing that I'm hoping for
the difference is that Anabel and Looker seem somewhat satisfied where they ended up, while Ingo is left with depression and a vague aching feeling in his chest of something missing
@@idontknowwhattoput5851 yeah ikr? For Anabel and Looker they got warped into a different world, but with probably counterparts of their loved ones or friends. For Looker it seemed the InterPol seemed ok to take him in alongside Anabel who probably doesnt have family. Ingo is sent to the past where literally no one is familiar with him, with vague memories that let him know he doesnt belong here. Thinking about it, he's probably died centuries before the main timeline of the games. That sucks.
@@fothorso Man I can only imagine the alternate timeline caused by this. What if when Ingo was transported to the past, everyones memories of him were taken with him, except for some of Emmets and Emmet is left with the memory of a brother thats no longer there that he's trying to get back, but everyone thinks he's crazy and made Ingo up. What if Ingo is never returned to the present and they just end up longing for each others presence that they never get to feel again. What if Emmet digs though a history book and finds a portrait of Ingo and realize that the person he believes to be his brother has been dead of centuries.
Just imagine the pain when a brother you have shared your life with suddenly disappears... It's especially sad since Emmet is the younger and more upbeat one of the twins. He must be so heartbroken....
People forget that we never got proper closure with Looker or Anabel. What makes you think Ingo will receive this? I hope he does but the future is grim, y’all :(
Emmet, that's the one thing keeping my hope that they would resolve this plot thread. They are a complimentary pair and why would they just put one without the other unless they might be planning to do something with the other. It's still probably unlikely but ingo is different from the other faller type character's in the regard that he has another character he's heavily associated with (Emmet) while the others kinda just existed on their own
i mean, in all fairness, ingo /is/ probably the most popular pokemon character right now (and has been widely loved since b&w) so theres financial incentive to making more content involving him and his storyline. i just hope they rerelease the submas plushies though :(((

Man, I can't imagine Emmet right now wondering where his brother is.
Imagine the subway battles shut down so that he can try to find him. And when Ingo returns he finds out what happens to his brother and cries finding out he spent his years searching for him. That would make a dark moment in pokemon games
okay , but here's an idea , a pair of mimikyu decide to dress up as the twins & run the battle subway in their stead.
More like several dark moments omg
You know what, that’s probably what they’re setting it up for, they’re too lazy to put the battle Subway into black 3 and white 3. So they put one of them into another game, and have the other guy standing in front of the station saying that it’s closed, crying.

There are gen 5 remakes and they probably won’t ever reference this if remade again,
@@Pokefan-jz4eq Sequels and remakes are not the same thing, so no, there are not gen 5 remakes. Also, pokemon has a habit of mentioning things in past games in future ones, even going as far as to use whole characters being pulled around as Easter eggs. Looker is a wonderful example of this.
Let’s tone down the pessimism a few notches, ok?
just casually shuts down the entire Battle Subway because Ingo is gone and Emmet just can't handle the strain of running the entire thing practically by himself
even worse, what if you can find Emmet in his apartment or whatever giving a few lines of dialogue on how his twin brother mysteriously vanished into thin air some time ago and how much he misses him but if the player has a finished file on Legends Arceus, the player can give Emmet a little memento of Ingo which would just obliterate my heart
I wish they'd do a BW3 as opposed to a BW remake. I love BW and its sequels (gen 5 is the best gen imo) but I'd rather we see something entirely new from Unova instead.
Imagine at the end of the remake ingo just falls out of the sky right next to his brother, and he just hugs him crying while ingo is still confused

In the manga, they're even better, Emmet always eager to fight White and too optimistic, and Ingo always holding him to save White
(And touches on "trains - as psychopomp/'death ferrying' which like. I get this weird 'Ghost' feeling from PLA Ingo. Idk maybe that's just me.)
A song ("For Campanella" by sasakure.UK) Madoka Magica (specifically a spin off), Persona 5 Royal, heck, even Over the Garden Wall!
So I'm not surprised in the slightest if one could make a whole video talking about Night on the Galactic Railroad and the Pokemon franchise, haha
@@8pierrot89 Ingo is a homeless ghost man confirmed
I love how they essentially modified the battle theme to almost sound like the chugging of a train in the background
You gotta feel bad for Emmet though really. Imagine, your brother disappeared from this world, you think he's gone forever, and even if he comes back he doesn't remember you at all.
My favorite part of this video is that zekrom and reshiram are behind them like stands.
So many years later, and the BW themes still hit like a tank.
train*
I'm just saying that Pokemon doesnt forget their counter parts, I bet Emmet will come back in a different legends story, though a Celebi centered one is the only one where I could imagine any time travel ever happening
The thought of a random semi present character returning as a plot point for a future game never accurred to me especially a game set in the past and well it makes Ingo all the more interesting and loveable, People say gamefreaks bad but I feel like theyre just restraining themselves, yes on what they can do in their games but also on what their mainline stories are supposed to look like because if they didn't we'd have stories like arceus in every game!
Just a little thing that I'm hoping for
I could think of jirachi granting emmets wish of ingo and seeing him
Man poor Ingo in PLA like damm they pulled an Annabel huh
And like Looker in ORAS
the difference is that Anabel and Looker seem somewhat satisfied where they ended up, while Ingo is left with depression and a vague aching feeling in his chest of something missing
@@fothorso Also yeah that really just does suck a lot, I feel really bad for him.
legends arceus made me come here to cry. They were happy.
0-0 I think I found GameFreak's inspiration for espurr's face LOL
And Thus The Espurr Face Meme
1:27 can we just appreciate how good that part is !
Didn't play Legend Arceus, got here to listen to good ol' Gen 5 music, left almost in tears after reading the comments...
We gotta feel bad for Emmet though, Ingo just disappeared one day and no one knows where he went
And not just Emmet, but all of Ingo's Pokémon too.
Just imagine the pain when a brother you have shared your life with suddenly disappears... It's especially sad since Emmet is the younger and more upbeat one of the twins. He must be so heartbroken....
I like how the great Ingo is in Legend of Arceus, I knew he was from somewhere😂
Arceus: We do a little trolling
People forget that we never got proper closure with Looker or Anabel. What makes you think Ingo will receive this? I hope he does but the future is grim, y’all :(
Emmet, that's the one thing keeping my hope that they would resolve this plot thread. They are a complimentary pair and why would they just put one without the other unless they might be planning to do something with the other. It's still probably unlikely but ingo is different from the other faller type character's in the regard that he has another character he's heavily associated with (Emmet) while the others kinda just existed on their own
i mean, in all fairness, ingo /is/ probably the most popular pokemon character right now (and has been widely loved since b&w) so theres financial incentive to making more content involving him and his storyline. i just hope they rerelease the submas plushies though :(((
Poor Emmet, his brother was sent to Hisui
What a fuckin weird timeline we’re in where a sort of obscure trainer from an old Pokémon game just shows up for no reason at all
those guys remind me of spy vs. spy
Same
spy vs spy was one of the best games I've ever played
