Bless you! It's so true. I'm an actor - since I was 7 and saw Cats it was always my dream to get in the West End. I too auditioned for Les Mis, and didn't get past the first round. I'm not really a strong enough singer. But I still had a dream and never let it go. Last year, at the ripe old age of 42, I got my first West End job in Cosi Fan Tutte (not as a singer but an actor) at the Coliseum. The largest stage in the West End..Just going for a costume fitting through the stage door made me weepy. But the first time I stood on that stage - magic. And the first night? I cried through the curtain call. Because my dream came true. You waited 12 years. I waited 35! Dreams may take a while....but they're always worth dreaming. I will teach my two little boys this. Brilliant video.

I'm so proud and happy :') you were the first Eponine I saw when I was 13 and unsure about pursuing a career in acting- I'm now 17 and getting recalls for drama schools!! You've been like a big sister to me growing up and I'm so excited for you!!

I come back to this video all the time. I'm a young actor who is struggling to decide if this is what I desire to make of my life. When I was seven years old, I did my first theatre camp in Memphis, Tennessee. I heard a girl perform Castle on a Cloud and it enchanted me. I told my dad about it and he excitedly detailed the whole story of Les MIs. From the moment he told me about the character and from the moment I heard Lea Salonga belt the end of On My Own, I wanted to play Eponine. Since, I've learned that Les Mis was my parents' first date, my mother won several pageants as a result of singing On My Own, and because of that nameless girl with the beautiful song, Castle on a Cloud was my first audition song. I'm waiting for the chance when I get to be Eponine - I have been since I was 7 - but for now, I like watching you do it.

That is so amazing that you actually had a childhood dream come true. And amazingly inspirational. As someone who has a somewhat similar situation and has been having people tell her left and right to pretty much forget it because it'll never happen, that's fantastic and inspirational and wonderful that it did come true for you.

I watched the show on August 22nd's matinee. You were basically the most important reason why I decided to come to England from Peru. I have been watching your videos for more than year and I was really excited about finally seeing you sing live. It has been a week since I came back to Peru and I still can't believe it. You are such an inspiration for my life! I love musicals and this is my dream too, even though I know it is more difficult for me beause I live in Southamerica, this video reminded me not to kill the hope. Watching you perform live and this video changed me. I'm still sixteen and I still have time but I just wanted you to know that you have influence in many people and I really admire you. (I hope you actually read this)
After seeing you in yesterday's matinee my obsession with Les Mis and musical theatre has grown beyond my control..You and Celinde definitely stole the show and that is why you're both my inspirations to become an actress. The only qualifications I have are my GCSE drama (A*) and my GCSE music (A) but I am so determined to go further! I came and seen it.. I went in September... simply amazing!! I think it is one of the best casted and performed west end shows I've seen!! Carrie your solo in particular was just outstanding! and the final song and epilogue was so moving and the perfect finish!

I saw you, 13th September 2013, sat in seat A5 of the dress circle and fell in love with Les Miz even more than I already was. You were absolutely amazing, Rob and Anton were amazing, the entire cast was amazing. Some dreams can't come true though because i desperately want to play Enjolras, but sadly I can't because I'm a girl and I can't sing.

I have always dreamed of being on the stage, when I was little I was in a theatre group but I was so badly bullied at school that I stopped and I have regretted it ever since, this year I finished school and before my exams I was diagnosed with cancer and I have finally finished treatment - I hope to still one day get fit again, have singing lessons and have the confidence to be on stage, locally or in my dreams on the westend, because I know I will always regret it if I dont. Thank you xx

I saw Les Mis at the Queen's Theatre last month and it was the greatest show I've ever see in my life. I think I cried the entire time. You were wonderful as Eponine!!
Hey Carrie. My name is Alice and I have the exact same ambissions as you did/still do. The first time I ever heard about Les Miserables when my mom was describing it to me, I instantly wanted to be in the show. When the movie came out in 2012 all I could think about was playing the part of Eponine (I know the film is a little different to the actual production). I got to this theatre youth group locally and have been going there ever since I was 11. Our director said we were going to do Les Miserables, The School Addition. I thought I'd never ever get the part, but I thought it would be great just to be in it so I just auditioned like everyone else and I sang On My Own. In a few weeks time I found I got Eponine! Although it's a small production running in a Community Centre, it means the world to me. I would just like to say thank you for all the possitivity you put in your videos and a HUGE congradulations to you for being Eponine in the West End! I am a massive fan and I know you probably won't see this, but I just wanted to let you know, it was all thanks to you, for inspiring me everyday. Some day I hope to be like you and play Eponine at the West End. Once again, thank you so much :)

It's my dream to play Marius, and I'm going to try my hardest to fulfil that dream and get to the Queens theatre, not to watch the show (which I have and Carrie was jaw dropping) but to be on the that revolving stage singing empty chairs and empty tables in front of hundreds of people every day. That is when I'll know I have fulfilled my dream to play what I want to play!

I saw you on July 2nd and you were completely amazing. My favourite character is Eponine anyway so it was just so amazing and when you sang my favourite song, on my own, I was beyond ecstatic. My dad literally held my arm and told me to stop bouncing in my seat. You are freaking amazing and please never give up because you are fantastic and you make so many people so happy! X

I'm 17! I've been performing in dance competitions all my childhood. I was the dancer to watch out for. But I've finished that up now and I have fallen deeply utterly in love with theatre. The chance to perform again would finally fulfil my dreams and passions. I need to perform! It's who I am and I can't find a place 2 start!!

Les Miserables is my favorite musical! My sister was small Cosette back in 2011, and I watched the musical all year and ever since I've loved the it! I'm so in love with it!
My childhood dream from the age of 2 was to be in Annie. Open auditions came to my town where I live in June and I thought well the least I can do is try, I was contacted and had a place in the ensemble. We put the show together in a week and performed amd it was an amazing experience, finally performing in Annie on a proper stage at the age of 17. Never give up because dreams do come true x

Even though I have seen this video a couple times already I still got chills all through the over three and a half minutes. I get chills when I see the thumbnail. This is the most amazing story I've ever heard. "After twelve years Carrie Hope Fletcher returns to the cast of Les miserables to play Eponine. I went to see you on the wednesday matinee last week with my school and you were absolutely phenomenal!!!! I was expecting you to be extremely good but we were all completely blown away by your voice, (it's so pure and so beautiul but genuine as well) and your talent!!! Everyone on our trip were saying how you would expect Daniel to be good and he was awesome but we all agreed after that we thought you were definitely the best, considering the standard set for each character, you really shone out from everyone else and you were an absolute pleasure to watch! I loved it so much and now Les Mis is my favorite musical!! Keep bringing the joy that you do to so many audience members like me and well done!
I went to London and watched Les Mis last weekend, and I can honestly say it was one of the best shows that I have ever seen. I had never seen Les Mis at all before and you brought me to tears when you sang On My Own, and when 'Eponine' died I think that was the most I cried. You where actually unbelievably amazing and I wish you all the best! The whole cast where literally perfect but you and 'John Val Jean' where my favourites, congratulations!
CONGRATULATIONS! I saw Les Mis on the West End back in 2006, but now I want to go back so I can see you as Eponine! She has all my favourite singing parts in that show, and I love your voice so much. Unfortunately, I live in the US now, which means I can't come by and see you, but I hope your run is fabulous and you do fantastic!
