👍 Bike Rafting 👍 That's what made me think of an amphibious fully enclosed velomobile with removable/opening top....Like the combination of a kayak 🛶 and a recumbent trike. That could be rode/drove directly into & out of water & could double as a sleeping pod. Imagine being by a big lake, stealth camping. Where you could float out into a secluded cove. Drop a diy anchor ⚓ made from a large rock & rope. So you're off shore but in safe shallow water. To sleep so no one can walk up on your tent 🎪 campsite & steal your bike/stuff while you're sleeping. I watched a guy kayak down the Mississippi to the gulf of Mexico & was thinking. If he had used an amphibious velomobile/kayak. He could pull up to shore, ride into town for food, then ride back into the water & float downstream .
New, easier to build, cheap travel vehicle idea💡 for rain, cold weather & snow transportation. I seen they actually sell full weather enclosures for riding lawnmowers. To keep you out of the rain & cold. Plus you can gear a lawnmower to do 35mph but still get betrer mpgs than a car & technically it's legal to drive if you're going slow through town. Right now without a garage/workshop, it would be way easier to build. Than a diy electric velomobile. It sounds kinda crazy and I'll look like a loser bum riding around on a lawnmower. But it'll also easily pull a diy mini RV camper. I could cruise down the side of the road, grassy ditch & light off road pretty easy. The mower with a heater inside the enclosure could at least get me 16 miles into town/store on the backroads pretty quick if I was going 30 mph instead of the 55-60 mph hwy speed limit. It'll just take twice long. 🤔 If I sell my motorcycle and buy a used riding lawnmower. I would be able to sell the mower. If my plan didn't work out too good. Right now I already a trailer for a riding mower to carry gas can, chainsaw, weed trimmer, rakes,etc... Just thinking while typing ideas to random people on RUclips....There's gotta be some type of much cheaper 4 season year round transportation that can replace the expensive cost of a car,.
I started thinking when I seen 27ft sailboats with asking prices of $2.5 & $3k that did need work but could float with my motorized bicycle strapped to the side...If I could work, I'd lockup the house in fall. Float down the ⛵ Mississippi River to the gulf. Look for work, stay down south on my boat. Ride motorized bicycle to work & sail back in spring. I seen Viking boats were built for both shallow water & oceans. So they could sail up rivers. A diy pull behind bicycle trailer boat (mini house boat) shouldn't be too hard to build. I wish I could build mico houseboat camper pulled by an ebike. But an ebike or trike with an enclosure that could keep me outta rain & cold and attach to the mico houseboat. I was thinking also maybe a plastic enclosure for regular Schwinn upright seated electric trike. If the trike could fit on boat & not sink. Maybe an electric folding trike. Something for winter transportation & not just nice weather.
