    He did a night with his trio and the Vancouver Symphony. My son plays in the orchestra and they have fabulous musicians soloing with them every week from all over the world. They seldom get to talk to the musical guests but my son enjoyed playing with them so much that for the first and only time he stopped at their dressing room to tell them how much he enjoyed listen to them and work with them. John said it was so rare for them to ever get feedback from the orchestra musicians beyond their onstage appreciation as they are making their way out the door. Fast forward three years later I head his trio play live at Koerner Hall in Toronto and I bought his fantastic biography and lined up to have him sign it. I mentioned the above story and he said, “ Oh your son was the French horn player we talked to in Vancouver. He signed the book with a very nice inscription to our son. I read the book and then sent it to my son. Subsequently bought two more for dear musician friends of mine who I have worked with over many years. John Pizzarelli is not not a great musician and entertainer, he is what I call the real deal, a musician’s musician.

    I can't help but wonder who built that nylon string 7-string? Sounds incredible, and looks to have a longer scale than a traditional nylon string guitar.

    • @c330user
      @c330user 3 года назад +1

      He is playing a seven string guitar. So the lowest string is actually an A, a fifth below the usual low E.
