Disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of a P1853 Enfield lock.

This is a Nepalese made P1853 Enfield lock that I got from International Military Antiques (IMA) to go with my broken stock parts gun which I plan on restoring to shooting condition (a video to come later).

At first i thought it looked complicated as hell, but when i saw you reassemble it, it looked really easy. I'm planning on getting and restoring an 1853 Enfield.

Should have "prepped" it first by cleaning it up as good as you could with solvent, and cleaning the screw slots THEN use the right screwdriver bits to begin with.

I put the hole lock in a wide mouth 1qrt mason jar and filled it with liquid wrench and let it soak for the weekend.
