I know little baggies are used for bad stuff but they are also used for small collectibles, sewing, and craft items. I've used them a lot for buttons, jewelry, beads, and miniature doll house crafting items. I would keep an open mind about items like that. "That guy" on the poster was Tony Dorsett member of Pro and College Football Hall of Fames.
I got the best laugh from Julian trying to convince Kayla to mount the steer horns on her Jeep. Lol. My grandpa was a cattle rancher and he had horns mounted on the front of an old Lincoln Continental. He didn’t drive it except on the ranch. He was a character.
You can buy steer horns. Have you seen the chairs made out of them? Besides can you just see someone like the person who owned that locker go out and retrieve horns from a longhorn? They would get gored for sure.
@@michelleraney3577 I donate an average of 25 blankets a month to the dog shelter in my town. I am lucky to volunteer at a thrift store where many blankets will not be sold due to different reasons, and I am allowed to take them. I wash them so they are rid of any other pet odors so the sheltered pets can get their own odor on the blankets. The blankets are the smaller size(lap blankets etc) The shelter loves them and are always in need of blankets. Finding little baggies is NOT a bad sign. I have different small size baggies as I use them for my jewelry I sell so the necklaces don't get tangled. I wish people wouldn't automatically assume they are used for something bad until they know for sure. Love your videos!
You guys are so enjoyable to watch. Love your humor and positive attitude. As a fellow SC resident (not a native) I don't know how you can survive doing that work in this heat and humidity.
that glass candleholder is antique. I have small baggies. I use them for jewelry & other stuff. You can donate old blankets and sheets to animal shelters.
Back in the 90's & early 2000's people would put their CD's(only the disc and no cases) in big binders to carry in their cars. They'd usually save the art and cases for later use.
I must tell you that when I went through boxes of garbage & old junk mail that my X sent with my things, I found a $10,000. savings bond from 1986 in my daughter's name! So garbage isn't always garbage!
Yea all I can imagine, which can be very likely, is getting into an accident and that be the thing that takes someone out. Someone’s kid, mom, dad, grandparent, dog. Those are sharp and hit or get hit hard enough they can fly off, especially if hit just right. You just never know.
I had those Pooh books when I was little. They were my favorite. Wow! You just brought up something from my childhood. I’ll be 55 on Tuesday, so I’m curious as to what it’s worth now.
You should connect with someone who reclaims silver from cds/dvds you don't want. It takes a LOT of work, but precious metals can be worth it to those willing to put in the effort!!! Love you guys! ❤️❤️❤️
Those tiny zipper bags aren't necessarily bad--I use tons of them for jewelry-making parts, and general small parts of my vintage sewing machine repairs, to keep everything organized with the screws that go with each different part. They are great for all sorts of things . I could use all of them, as well as all the bad CDs--I'm collecting as many as I can for a huge art project that will need about 400 before it's done. I have been collecting them slowly for about 9 years already and only have about 1200.
I used to work for Hallmark, as casual labor. We'd go into stores and do a revision on the departments. Hallmark would look at what was selling in that store and increase that area and what wasn't selling got decreased. Like in older neighborhoods retirement cards and funeral condolences would be selling but new babies , children under 5 birthday party supplies wouldn't. I learned real quick especially in those older stores, that had a mice problem You NEVER want to lick an envelope!!!!! Mice love the glue on the envelope. They would chew along where the glue was or you could see their tongue prints where they licked the envelope. 🤢 If you don't have the self sealing envelope, get a wet sponge or paper towels and use it to wet the glue. Don't lick envelopes!!!
He was burning and reselling burnt cd's printer was to copy original cds inserts for the copies, i remember those guys running around reselling the burnt cds and movies. 1990's gig
That Lynch Mob t-shirt is pretty cool. A band featuring George Lynch, who was the lead guitarist for the band Dokken. 80's-90's "hair" band rock. Great stuff!
Dude! Those small baggies are perfect for shipping out small items. Wish you’d list those. I absolutely love watching you both. ❤❤❤ Also, I’d go through the mail. There could be cash in them.
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻 I really enjoy watching the storage units. So I am looking forward to seeing more of them. It's great when you put the comps up. It gives us a way to learn more. About how the unit is paying you back. And what our stuff could go for.
Hi, I'm new to this video. I live alone so I like to see shows that are entertaining. Thanks for the time you spend producing to entertain me😊 God bless
That burbs reference took me back 😂 one of my favorite vhs to watch growing up in the 90's (born 1989) I've never seen anybody drive their garbage down to the street and bang the hell out of it with a stick
Hoping you all fair well through the weather this week. I heard how much rain you are to get and thought of you two immediately. Know you're in my prayers. Be safe
You know, I live in the upperstate of SC but I make a weekly trek to an antique store to buy music CD’s, they are in great condition for $5.00 to $6.00 each. The same seller has lots of DVD’s as well. So I’m thinking you made a good score! Love watching you guys!
you can bundle the cds by genre . Rock and metal and rap is your $$$. I sold 50 for 150 recently . You’re better off than you think you are . Also WHAT WAS IN THE COOLER ??!?
those signed football posters were worth some bucks too and you were treating them like garbage the Dan Moreno and Emmitt smith are 250 a piece in good condition and yours were in preserve able shape
You should comp out the black magnifying glass (8:10 in your video). I found one in the same shape with a brown handle. My handle turned out to be Bakelite.
The covers were pulled from the cases--they belong to the CDs in the big zipper case. Back in the day, those big zippered cases made your collection portable (take them in the car)
I think he may have had a CD juke box business. That why he had all the cd art covers separated from the cases. He would have put them in the juke box selection display . May have explained how old and dusty the unit was because not too many cd juke boxes around anymore . Now usually cloud based or mp3. Probably but who knows . Im an auctioneer and we buy and sell storage unit contents and sell to the public. If i had purchased this storage locker thats what my initial assessment would be. Might be able to verify the business aspect by looking at some of the tubs of files and paperwork… enjoyed watching the videos you make. .
So I got it all figured out. The unit is that old although CDs it’s because the dude was probably a DJ that’s why you had to tape deck bought all DJ equipment from the 90s. 0:58
Julian and Kayla every time you buy a storage unit you know its a gamble so dont complain take the riskvoe dont buy storage units you can not always hit the jackpot
This unit could have easily been mine. I have 1200 blurays, and 900 CDs. I also use those small baggies for my guitar pick collecting. I use them to send out traders through the mail. So, all in all, that collection is not suprising (or big) at all.
Most animal shelters take donations of blankets. All you'd need to do is give them a wash first. I think with the CDs and DVDs you could make lots of similar genre items to sell. If you don't want to do that, you could sell all of them as a big lot to someone else who wants to take the time to piece them out. It's at least some coin in your pocket that way.
I used to have dart supplies in a 4 - 5 bars in my area and used baggies like that for flights, soft tips, o-rings and stuff like that. I know that wasn't you saw them used for on your previous occupation. Kinda stinks you have so many to check just in case but oh well. Unless there's a hole in that bin I doubt noodles were eaten by critters.

Are they seriously not going to go through the dvds, cds, and even the burned ones? Like it sounded like he said they are just going to throw them away. Also, whats up with only looking at a single shirt or whatever piece of clothing in a bag or bin of clothes and immediately saying the whole bag or bin is trash/ to be donated? The external harddrive can be erased and sold. Old yearbooks can be valuable too
Absolutely college student: radio DJ (beat up, heavy used) collection. Put collection (newish totes) in storage after sitting in garage (dust) for too long.
Look for CD’s made overseas like Japan. Easy to research. Usually rock cd’s. I’ve sold a few in the $30-$50 dollar range but some are much higher. Yes horns sell great at local auctions in the upstate here. Some over $100 but at least $50.
Rockport is a good shoe. My husband will only wear that brand in his tennis shoes(white leather)I order them on the website. Check those out before putting a couple of dollars on them. For Fathers day, I just paid $149 for my husband’s tennis shoes.
Yes. You guys need to go through every single box all the way to the bottom. It could take one thing to put you up and over. And also, you've got to be able to do something with the dvds. Even at a quarter a piece. I think there's places that buy them too. Not sure. Hope you guys are doing well. Good luck. Take care.😊

FYI, old blankets and towels can be washed and donated to a veterinary clinic, they are always very happy to receive them.
Also animal shelters need them.
Better to donate to animal shelters. They are not funded well. Vets clinics make alot of money.
