Hooray. I was going to ask if you were doing a vid as mine (with usb c) arrived last week too. Thanks for this. I’ll be doing it the same time as the bar risers from your other video ( I know you’ve since removed them but the current bars killed my back riding down to Turkey).
I’ve just changed the side socket just below the seat for the same usb under the screen type to plug my camera in works fine 32€ 👍I did price one in the Uk it was 25 english pounds 😂👍 use the old one to change the under seat , think it’s called a din socket ?
The easy way to put this on is pass the nut over the plug and wire then pass the wire through the hole, clip it and put the plug in the hole and wind the nut back.
Just changing topic. I noticed you have a headlight guard. Do you know where I could get the two rubber grommets from as I have the same, but my grommets need replacing. Any help appreciated.
Slipping the nut over the connector wires then plugging it in prior to tightening the nut is how I managed to not loose the nut inside the bike.
Really helpful thanks.
It also fits the socket under the seat so you can have 2 sockets near your left pannier.
Good Video. Did mine last year. Not sure about the 5min job though! Many thanks
This was the first thing I bought after getting my GS but didn't realie they did a USB-C version. That is now my next purchase.
I see they no longer make the cockpit cover, was going to order both.

Hopefully less grazes and f bombs when you fit yours 😂
I love your dogs.

Great news if you can get the plug out the hole.👍
Hi Paul, hoping that all is well, did you by any chance scratch your arm? 🙂
