very classy, gotta love the fact they’re singing live AND dancing. at this point hating on them can’t be justified, i heard they also take part in writing and producing their songs. they’re nice guys and very sweet too. also they’re handsome, they’re the full package 👍
Actually they are the ones who write most of their songs and produce too, of course they have help, but mainly in writing the lyrics it’s most them, like 80, 90% of the album. They always write about what they want or what they are living to help people.
em you can check their music, if you have some spare time, and thanks you so much for ur warm words 😊
almost all of them are music producer
lyricist, composer they really hands on on their music prod. even in performing on stage :)

I think Stephen Colbert's is the first American late show interview that BTS had where all seven of them spoke in complete English! This is just another testament to their work ethic and their desire to connect with their fans globally as well as understanding other cultures while sharing theirs.

Ikrrr.... i watch d interview n they seems soo relaxed n natural ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Their english improve a lot😭😭😭
Im proud👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Right?! In the beginning RM said he was going to have to talk a lot as the spokesman but he ended up not having to say anything, lol.
This makes me so emotional I can't even explain it.. they started from NOTHING, they didn't have support from anyone but themselves and yet, driven by their passion for music they never stopped, and now they're here. Immensely proud is an understatement

*I feel like they are whitewashing them with this Beatles narrative.*
Colbert show staffs really know how to do the work done.
They didn’t mess up
1. the camera work
2. the interview by asking stupid questions
3. describing ARMYs by putting a guy fan in the middle of performance as opposed to calling ARMYs bunch of teenage girls.
And last but not least, they seemed to have done the research and found out Singing In The Rain homage in the Boy in luv MV cause Beatles Analogy and this colorless BTS performance perfectly matched..💜💜💜
I am just saying..
so tru...
i personally liked 3. that there was a guy fan in the middle
coz as a fanboy myself, my friends insult me that i am gay and they dont wanna be in a crowd of bunch of girls and get insulted by other ppl like wth
i dont care what ppl say, anyways i am not gay either
Audience even didn't know their fanchant 😤
The way they pay homage to the Beatles says it all for itself. I mean for other boy bands no one has gone as far to recreate the exact stage, scenery, etc. just like the Beatles and if this doesn’t show how much BTS has made a cultural movement, transcended barriers, and made a big impact then I don’t know what to say

People need to understand that they are not comparing their music to each other! Both have completely different sounds. The comparisons is between the impact that bts is doing right now to what The Beatles did in the 60s! Anyways, I love them both!
go’Seok also the fact that Colbert tapes his show in the Ed Sullivan theater, the same theater where Ed Sullivan himself had his show that was the first American tv show where The Beatles were both interviewed and performed.
Please... they'll be forgotten about in 10 years. No comparison

@@SPCEMN3 Please see the original Beatles' Ed Sullivan debut footage to compare. They have recreated the scenes starting from the announcer, black/white ambience, even glimpses of fans cheering, the iconic drumset in the background etc.
Just wanna thank Stephen for making this big statement to the whole world
I don't know if anyone will see this but for those of you who aren't familiar with BTS or this song let me explain what Boy With Luv is actually about because it has a lovely meaning that I think captures their sincerity very well.
So first and foremost it's a love song, that much was obvious, but it's what it means to BTS that I feel is so important because in simplest terms, this is a song about ARMYs (their fans).
To provide some context, i'm sure you can imagine a korean group singing in their native language would have experienced many barriers and hardships in the western market. They have not only been discriminated against but constantly pressured to conform to appeal to a wider audience at the expense of their artistic integrity. Not just that but even from their own country they are constantly pressured to meet unbelievable expectations and their every move is scrutinised. This is accumulated to have a pretty severe affect on their mental health to the point they almost considered disbanding, thankfully they managed to persevere and have reached a point where they can comfortably reject all pressures, criticisms and prejudices.
This album 'Map of The Soul: Persona' is inspired by Carly Jung's theories on individual psyche and this album and song in particular emphasises 'persona' (individuality). So this song is also a rejection of all these criticisms to act a certain way and make music a certain way to cater to people because they want to embrace their own individuality, they don't want to sacrifice it just to please a wider audience. It's cause of the fans constant support of this that they have been able to reject that.
They have said themselves that this song (along with the album) is dedicated to their fans and if you look at some of the lyrics you can understand why:
"I’m flying high up in that sky
with the two wings that you gave me then"
"They say, I, who used to so small, became a hero (Oh nah)
I say, things like destiny were never mine from the beginning (Oh nah)
The world’s peace (No way)
Some grand rules (No way)
Just going to protect you, I am"
"with Icarus’ wings that you gave me,
I’d fly to you, not the sun"
These pretty accurately convey how their priority has always been about their fans and not feeling the need to live up to certain expectations or cater to a certain audience etc. BTS took this sentiment and how they have been able to endure everything because of the support and love from their fans and turned it into a love song. The korean title is actually called 'a poem for small things' and in various parts they talk about wanting to know trivial petty parts of the person's life because this is what they consider 'true love'. So.... to them the support and love their fans gave them was so powerful it helped them through everything and that sentiment is what they consider 'true love'.
google 'doolset boy with luv lyrics' if you want a better explanation!

Whoever came up with the idea of replicating Beatles concept for this performance is a real genius. I will give a full credit to the staffs of the colbert show. It is really amazing to see how BTS syndrome is accepted as simular as that of Beatles. They look fantastic and the performance was superb~!!💜
It gets better, and I don't see anyone mentioning it: This was meant to replicate the Beatles' performance on the Ed Sullivan Show (with Stephen Colbert as Ed Sullivan) - and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is actually taped in the very same Ed Sullivan Theater.
Oh, come on. You're comparing BTS with _The Beatles_ . Seriously.
Max Planck they’re comparing the impact. bts has broken multiple records previously held by the beatles.
@@maxplanck1077 seriously? can you not read through lines? LoL you must have gotten F for a literature class or something. I said " syndrome". The crazy syndrome BTS has created to their fans is similar to that of Beatles. I am not talking about anything else. That is what they are talking about. Who else in this age make their fans camp out around their concert stadiums a week prior to their concert? Whoe else does that these days? No one but BTS makes fans do that. Camping out 1 week before the concert starts just to get the best viewing standing seats. That is a phenomenal, very rare to see these days. BTS has that impact on people.
Btw, FYI BTS has gotten no.1 on billboard 200 chart 3 times in a row within 11 months. BTS is the only artist who has that record after Beatles. It is a FACT. DEAL WITH IT!😊
@@koyukiny First of all, I always had straight A's in literature class.
Secondly, I still stand by my judgement, if I had lived in the 60's, I would have waited a whole month to attend a Beatles' concert.
Thirdly, BTS fans are hella defensive. If someone had said something similar about a band I like, I would have said "sure, suit yourself". I wouldn't need to justify my music taste.

Jin the show stealer. Couldn't take my eyes away from him God he is so attractive. He sounds so beautiful.
They dont call him wwh world wide handsome for nothing, you know😂
As a Beatles fan all of my life and a BTS fan since the year they debuted this makes my heart so so happy. Our boys are having so much fun and are enjoying this stage in their lives and this level of recognition with the same level of passion and commitment they've had since the beginning. Only difference is that now the army family is gigantic and it keeps growing and growing 💕💕.
Dino wow I feel like who ever you Stan becomes world star
Another difference is The Beatles are way better and greater than bts, and that's a fact

I first saw them last week on SNL and was so charmed and impressed. Their skills are on point (and damn handsome young men)! Seeing them again on the Late Show was a treat.
Watch their MV they have eng sub their discography & lyrics are very inspiring & meaningfull . watch spring day , fake love , fire , dope , persona , NO ,idol ...
Watch the bts live performances of airplane pt 2 best of me and dionysus
Glad to hear you enjoyed the performance, they really work hard.

I don't like the Beatles comparison. They are each so different, EXCEPT that they both swept the world with their talent.
Congratulations again to BTS.
BTS are well loved by people of all ages. It's nice reading the comments. 🥰 They really bring us together
Just 6 years ago, bts was begging people on the streets to come to their concerts. After years of hard work and dedication, they're now known internationally and are even being compared to the Beatles. They did it. They really did it 💜

Hey! Anyone watching this in 2024, put your hand up
🖐️👏👍💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The crap hurts.
❤❤❤❤
For some reason, this made me very emotional. Unfortunately I haven’t been with BTS since their humble beginnings in 2013, but I found them when I needed them the most mid 2017, just before their massive global recognition. And I’m proud. So very proud of these seven young men who’ve changed the perspective not only on music but so many other things. They deserve everything good that’s coming to them. They’re humble, hardworking, kindhearted. And I will support them, always. 💜
same happened to me. I found them in late 2016, and their music came to me when I truly needed them. They gave me hope when my life was so messed up. I love them to pieces. Seeing them now, that they reached so much global popularity makes me so emotional and happy for them. They deserve everything.
I mean, I have been their fan since 2013 and in my opinion, it was very annoying how they were mistreated and looked down upon for leaving hip-hop, which they never did. If you're very easily depressed or if you're hurt easily then that time and era would not have been in your favour. There was no way that I could see them succeed back then and it made me angry af because their music really helped me. I hated their debut days and wished that they had never gone through that.
But that's what made them into who they are and I am thankful they weren't from the big 3 and instead from bighit ent.
Right when I found them ... In mid 2017 just before their massive global recognition 🔥
our encounter of the boys was around the same.I also found them when I needed them the most and will be forever for BTS. I purple you.
Chemi I’ve heard so many stories about how people found them in their darkest days, like a ray of light guiding them out of the complete darkness. How incredible is that? I purple you!
I'm not familiar with this show since I'm not from america but the host did a great job with the interview and looked like he genuinely likes them and the boys seemed so happy and comfortable thank you
was thinking the same. This is miles away from other western shows. I bet they like Stephen now as much as we. Just wonderful. I am so happy. This is actually the first time I am happy with a western show introducing/showing BTS and have nothing to complain about.💜
I (vaguely) remember seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. Classic. Now I'm watching a BTS tribute to those events - on RUclips. A new classic. Totally lovin' BTS... and proud to be an ARMY.
That's incredible.

Plz don't make me tear😭
They went from being cut out from performances to perform on the same stage as The Beatles
I'm emotional 😭;(((
yea the "BTS" on the drum has a similar font as The Beatles's
Also no artist or act has performed in the theatre since the beatles!
Wow..
That’s why it’s black and white and the fans look like they are from the 60s and why there is a drum kit with bts on it
This is the best US TV appearance I’ve seen from them yet. Great camera work, stylish, great sound- oh, and dat Beatles analogy.
I watched the Beatles on Ed Sullivan as a young teen and BTS is the only group since the Beatles that has captured my undying loyalty. Their styles ARE different but their level of talent and universal appeal are quite similar. I’m just happy I found out about them and can enjoy their music. I turned my older sister into a fan too! We both wish them all the best - they deserve it!
As a Beatlemanaic, It's amazing to see another band who inspire and impact millions if not billions of lives. I'm not really a BTS fan but they are like The Beatles in their early times. The Beatles changed my life with their music, and cured my depression. BTS is doing the same thing today with my generation. These guys are already legends.
