I've actually been debating going to my local expo, which is happening earlier than usual this year. After seeing this I think I'll go, even though I'm not necessarily looking for more animals. Learning to love yourself is such an amazing journey. I knew I made the right decision because I didn’t miss him. After all my realizations, he had been using me the entire time… lying, manipulating, gaslighting… Thank you for sharing your experience, it makes me feel less alone. I think these expos are so cool, but I personally really can't get behind putting animals in those tiny little containers for so many hours at a time. Most of them were really trying to get out, and majority looked so stressed. The one at 16:00 was a pretty good example of the vendors I like. Even though the animals were on display they still had plenty of room to move around.

It takes a lot of courage to address mental health issues. It takes even more courage to talk about them openly with thousands of people. I appreciate the honesty. I would love to see more dart frog videos soon. I have three Dendrobates Auratus Super Blue that I just got that are super young and hide a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing a video of tips and tricks for caring for different species of dart frogs.

I appreciate you sharing your story. I'm in a similar position in my relationship, I actually left late last year but stupidly gave him another chance as we'd been together for 6 years and friends for over 10 and figured he'd realize how good he had it and start being the person I fell for. But something is just wrong and I have no idea how to get out of it again. The worst part is I actually do think really highly of myself and know with certainty that I could do better and deserve better.
Thank you for sharing with me as well. And know that your decision wasn’t stupid. When I had my realizations I asked myself how I could’ve been so stupid to not see things earlier. But I know now that I wasn’t stupid, I chose to see the good in someone, even when it wasn’t there. I think it just goes to show that you care. I hope you’re able to figure your situation out, and I wish you all the best in doing so ❤️
Long story short i was married and at around the 6 year mark my now ex husbands dad passed away and with him took half my ex husband with him and he hasn't been the man i married since. We have 2 children together and are now divorced because there was nothing i could do to help him except leave myself and today we dont have a relationship outside of when he sends support for our kids. I still love him to death and anyone else just doesn't even come close to me being interested at all and its been years now that we've been apart. I didnt want any of this nor did i even want his money but had to do it for myself and our kids plus the courts automatically take child support during that grueling process and us together just wasn't it anymore without his dad and his not getting the help he desperately needs still today. Its hard to explain it exactly but change is an understatement when describing what happened to him and i still have hope that one day he'll be himself again. We do still talk once in a blue moon but that's it. It's actually sad. Please put you first, take care of yourself with lots of self care and you'll find a way again. In the end we were married 12 years and have known each other 22 years while also going through almost everything and anything together and making it it was the loss of his dad that did it and i haven't seen the man i married since. During this his mothers true colors came through which i had already knew but of course he was blind to and was hard for him to accept and he still doesn't. But it's his mom so i understand. I just had to make a decision for myself and our kids. Even if it still hurts me today i know it was for the better. Whatever choices we make in life may not seem like the right ones at the time but in the end always comes to light. Hope that makes sense. Eggshells are not fun to walk on daily. Now we walk on smooth ground. Best of luck to anyone and everyone going through anything or something. It does get easier.

Once you realize, it really opens the floodgates doesn’t it? When you’re in it the build up is so slow that you just don’t see it until you hit the other side. I’m glad you got out, and I love your ring.
Absolutely. I remember when I had all these realizations I thought to myself “how could I be so stupid to not see it earlier.” But I know now that I was never stupid. Part of me always saw it… but I loved and trusted this person and held on to too much hope that things would get better. As hard as it was, it taught me to trust myself and prioritize myself. I appreciate you sharing your story. I'm in a similar position in my relationship, I actually left late last year but stupidly gave him another chance as we'd been together for 6 years and friends for over 10 and figured he'd realize how good he had it and start being the person I fell for. But something is just wrong and I have no idea how to get out of it again. The worst part is I actually do think really highly of myself and know with certainty that I could do better and deserve better.
Thank you for sharing with me as well. And know that your decision wasn’t stupid. When I had my realizations I asked myself how I could’ve been so stupid to not see things earlier. But I know now that I wasn’t stupid, I chose to see the good in someone, even when it wasn’t there. I think it just goes to show that you care. I hope you’re able to figure your situation out, and I wish you all the best in doing so ❤️
Long story short i was married and at around the 6 year mark my now ex husbands dad passed away and with him took half my ex husband with him and he hasn't been the man i married since. We have 2 children together and are now divorced because there was nothing i could do to help him except leave myself and today we dont have a relationship outside of when he sends support for our kids. I still love him to death and anyone else just doesn't even come close to me being interested at all and its been years now that we've been apart. I didnt want any of this nor did i even want his money but had to do it for myself and our kids plus the courts automatically take child support during that grueling process and us together just wasn't it anymore without his dad and his not getting the help he desperately needs still today. Its hard to explain it exactly but change is an understatement when describing what happened to him and i still have hope that one day he'll be himself again. We do still talk once in a blue moon but that's it. It's actually sad. Please put you first, take care of yourself with lots of self care and you'll find a way again.
In the end we were married 12 years and have known each other 22 years while also going through almost everything and anything together and making it it was the loss of his dad that did it and i haven't seen the man i married since. During this his mothers true colors came through which i had already knew but of course he was blind to and was hard for him to accept and he still doesn't. But it's his mom so i understand. I just had to make a decision for myself and our kids. Even if it still hurts me today i know it was for the better.
Whatever choices we make in life may not seem like the right ones at the time but in the end always comes to light. Hope that makes sense. Eggshells are not fun to walk on daily. Now we walk on smooth ground. Best of luck to anyone and everyone going through anything or something. It does get easier.

Absolutely. I remember when I had all these realizations I thought to myself “how could I be so stupid to not see it earlier.” But I know now that I was never stupid. Part of me always saw it… but I loved and trusted this person and held on to too much hope that things would get better. As hard as it was, it taught me to trust myself and prioritize myself.
