As a local who lives close to the giant Causeway DO Not pay the £12 entry fee for the Causeway the Causeway is free just walk through the tunnel in front of the car park do not enter the visitors centre

The entrance fee is only for the Visitors centre. The causeway itself is free. You can just walk past the Visitors centre and catch the shuttle bus or walk straight to the Causeway itself. All your missing is an small interactive museum, an expensive cafe and an eye wateringly expensive gift shop. For a family you can save the guts of £50 by bypassing the Visitors Centre on the entrance fees alone. Spend the difference in very close by Bushmills. Same souvenirs and better food for much less. Plus whiskey.

I just took this route, and the information is still accurate. The scenic bus is number 402; in Coleraine there's an electronic sign that lists the times and departure gates of busses. You can purchase a day travel card at Belfast train station ticket counter for 17 pounds that's good for busses as well as trains. You just swipe it as you go onto the bus or platforms. All staff were friendly.
