Moroccan baked chicken has some really good spices in there. A lot of them are also used in Indian dishes! Like how you sear them before baking to seal in the juices! Moroccan style chicken looks so good! The wine from Portugal as usual looks like it would pair perfectly with this dish! By the way congratulations on surpassing 10K Subscribers! I am so happy to see this. Watching you grow your channel in such a successful manner is very inspiring! :) Jeff don't burn your mouth lol! I know it tastes really good though so I'd probably do the same thing! :D
Thank you yes the spice mix is definitely used in Indian cooking also I agree. I love all the flavors of the spice blend because they are not hot spicy spices. The chicken definitely turned out juicy and moist in this amazing sauce the Dutch oven helped seal in all the juices
OMG! As a moroccan fan of yours i can say you have made a fabulous perfect Moroccan baked chicken with all its basic ingredients..olives..lemon zest..cinnamon..ginger..oh im literally drooling watching this now and i can imagine that smell wow Im really craving it! BTW we can cook chicken with the sauce and all spices first and then when chicken is well cooked..we either fry it or grill it in the oven to get that outside crispiness.. extra yumminess and tempting colour.. then we serve it with the sauce..Amazing Cooking Chef Jeff and Congrats on 10k! YAY!🤩
I like the way your untilizing the whole bird. Very cool. Good tip with the powder marinade for 2 hours... I be like coat and go so that's good I wont do that. Everything is looking on point Jeff so much flavour!
The colour of baked and ready Moroccan chicken is absolutely marvellous and superb, you always make some magical treats and some amazing recipes, boiling bubbles coming out of the dish made me mad
I love roasted chicken with spices & herbs and this Moroccan chicken with spices is what I am craving to make it marinated flavour chicken.yummie, Apricot olives, lemon skin. Wow
It’s such a crucial step to seal the meat before baking. It elevates the taste and keeps the meat moist. Great wine pairing too! 🙏🍷 🍗 little mounts of spices always cheer me up!
Hi, Jeff! This dish looks so delicious. I definitely like my chicken crispy. This recipe looks like it has so much flavor. I bet it taste amazing. I really like the addition of the olives and lemon. Fantastic share and recipe my dear friend. Many blessings to you. Have a beautiful day.🥰❤️🌻🌻

Simply Fabulous ! Watched this post yesterday. Got right to work and marinated my chicken overnight. It has just come out of the oven and no joke the aroma is amazing. The spices with the cinnamon and lemon is fantastic. Can't wait for family to get home from work. Thank you for sharing 😋😍
Thank you Elizabeth I am very happy you tried my Moroccan baked chicken. Thank you for your kind words I hope your family enjoys it when they get home. I just love this Moroccan spice blend amazing aromas and tastes
Superb Moroccan Chicken my Friend, and the sauce was rich and creamy. The cinnamon stick will definitely add flavor. Love that steam rolling off of it.TFS
Thank you Beth I definitely love all the flavors and spices in this dish from the sweetness of the dried apricots to the saltiness of the olives sorry yes I know you’re definitely not a fan of olives you can omit
Hi, Jeff! Wow, that Moroccan baked chicken looks amazing! I agree that bone-in, skin-on chicken is a lot more flavorful. I like the addition of apricots: they would add a nice sweetness that would not overwhelm the dish. A Dutch oven would be great! Like you said, with the lid on, the chicken would baste itself. Yes, definitely add the chicken stock and then scrape off the bottom for the flavor. I like that you took off the lid for the last 3 minutes to crisp up the skin. That turned out amazing. Rice to sop up the sauce is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
OH MY GOODNESS JEFF!!! That turned out amazing. Looks so incredibly rich with flavor. You have got to send some of that this way. 😊👍👍 Love that steam rolling off of it.
Oh and btw my parents feel Portuguese wines are some of the best and they are world travelers. I have had the opportunity to try several wines from Portugal and have to agree.
Thank you Lynn yes I was very fortunate to travel through Portugal and try most of their wines grapes I was unfamiliar with and was excited to learn. Douro valley was just breathtaking and their red wines were spectacular
Hey Jeff! This chicken looks so tender and super flavorful with all those wonderful spices. And like you said, they aren’t too unusual or obscure. The olives and apricots are a great addition 🥰. I love a red blend and those are new grapes to me as well. Portugal has some great wines for sure. Huge congratulations on 10k subscribers 🎉🍾🎊
Lovin' the Morrocan spice mix. I do miss going out for a meal, Moroccan is one of my favourites and there are so many choices here in London. You have filled that gap for me Jeff. It's great to see how you make your dish as you make it look so achievable with your great explanation. You got a lovely scald on that chicken, it looks beautifully golden. Another fab recipe for my recipe folder 📂.... Take care....👋
Two hours in the fridge to let those spices seep in the chicken really gives that deliciousness we want in this Moroccan chicken dish! You browned the chickens perfectly, Jeff! Hmmm so deliciously perfect in the platter! Well done, Jeff! Have a great week ❤️
Ras El hanout is what they call the house spice blend in morocco what I love about this blend is there is not hot spices just flavorful spices. Thank you I chopped all my hair off it was time. But I will tell you my hair changes every year next year it’ll be something different

I have found a new use for my tangine. I suppose I would sear the chicken first, then cook in the device over the diffuser. Sounds fun and tasty.
If you have a tangine sear the chicken and cook everything directly in that Moroccan pot. You will love this recipe let me know how it turns out
