- The U.N. Command opened Panmunjom on the inter-Korean border for a media tour in mid July, 2022, providing a clear look into the nearby North Korean village of Kijong-dong and parts of the Kaesong Industrial Complex.

I get that this is essentially a fake village, but how come then that there are people there?
Plain-clothes DPRK soldiers whose job it is to make it look populated and who turn the lights on and off, etc.

What's more likely the the West is feeding you propaganda and lying about the village, or NK is shipping in soldiers to act like civilians to make an entire city appear real. Wouldn't it be easier to you know, just have actual civilians live there? What advantage would NK gain by using soldiers instead of civilians?
