Doddabetta Peak:
The term Doddabetta means Big Mountain in Badaga language. It is a combination of two words Dodda meaning big and Betta which means mountain. The Doddabetta peak located at 9.5 km from Ooty, rises to 2637 meters above sea level and lies at the junction of the Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats. Doddabetta Peak is the fourth highest peak.
