Rajesh ji, would that be you sitting behind guruji, playing the tanpura in this video? the other tanpura is being played by Vasundhara tai, of course. You are incredibly fortunate to have spent time with an Avatari Purush like him...

Such an old Bandish, but presented superbly by Pandit Kumar Gandharva ji! He was a God's gift to Indian classical music.

The silence and melody between two swaras clearly heard ,the musicians who shout through singing can't reach here, only the Honey bee and butterfly enjoy the sweetness of honey , the process of making sweetness is stopped due to heavy use of technology..........
    Corona is the best example.

    Dev Pooja Kare.
    Vasana na Mare ,
kese Te Bhava tare... Tirath.. (×2)
Kaya Dhue paak kabahu nahi mann bhaag,
    mann Rang ki aas,
Neet rahe Charan me.. Tirath.. (×2)

@@krishnapartha Translation of first four lines
      Everyone travels to religious places
      Everyone worships god
      But no one kills lust
Then how will you get salvation
      ● Tirath means religious places like Tirupati Temple and Rameshwara Temples.
      ● Bhava : world
      ● tare : cross
So 'bhava tare' means how would you cross world and it's affairs. Means how will you get salvation if you don't kill your lust because just by visiting religious places and worship are not going to help you. You have to make your soul pure to be free from world.

    : कुमार गंधर्व व वसंतराव देशपांडे यांचे शास्त्रीय गायन ऐकावेसे वाटते, कंटाळा येत नाही.
    ते दळू नसते
    पूर्वीच्या बायकांचे आवाज द ळू का ? monotonus वाटतात. उदा. केरकर ,कुर्डी कर, बडोदेकर, भोळे बाई
    )
    कंटाळा येतो ऐकताना. कोणी न्यूरॉलॉजिस्ट प्रकाश टाकेल का यावर ?

This bandish highlights the contradictions in one's life. It says everyone goes to pilgrimage ( teerath ko sab kare) and desires Salvation but nobody makes the efforts to overcome their shortcomings, imprudent desires etc.. Poor Human seeks aloofment from these materialistic existence but never works for the same .
I have tried to put it as I got it.. would love to get more insights and corrections (if any) in this regard..
