this guy is 50? Holy shit.. I remember interviews from old (90's) concerts where he basically says that he focuses more on putting on an entertaining show rather than trying to sound like he's in studio.. because if you wanna hear that, you could just listen to the cd.. He has a good point.
Singing DOES matter.... lyrics are part of the song, and if singing sounds like shit, so does the song! This, and ALL of vince neils live performances are a robbery to fans.... although at least rob zombie still gives er shit, head bangs, and puts on an awesome performance, so he gets a pass for sure... also, he's still trying to make a living, and enjoys it! Vince neil just sucks though lol
@@aic8326this performance doesn't compare to what Neil does. Rob's tone has changed with age, but this song does not have melodic vocals neither in the studio version. Here he shows power and energy, and the style respects the original versión. Vince sometimes is not able to sing his lines even with the help of backing tracks....
Glad I got to grow up listening and watching Rob Zombie, and now my husband is super interested in him because I introduced his movies to him. I get so excited when somebody asks me about Rob Zombie.
I love how, as the years have passed by since this song was released back in '98, Zombie has changed the emphasis of the lyrics so that it fits more in his writing styles/ lyrical tones of his current materiel. He's kept the same lyrics in tact, he just changed the *way* they're enunciated... Keeps it fresh & ever improving (as is the case w/much of his past materiel & White Zombie songs as well).
Seen him love Columbus, Ohio he rocked the house. A very intelligent and a musically intelligent man . Man, he makes great movies. Rock on Rob Zombie. Show em how it is done
Why is everyone saying he sounds bad in this? I think he's killing it, maybe not as good as on his tracks but that's how it always is. From the comments I was expecting him to sound like ass.
This is a great performance. He doesn't sound exactly as in the album, and as you said, that always happens if the performance is live and many years after the record. Here there are 600 comments and Rob has a part of the fandom that adores him, but some haters too. Some people on the internet expect that he should be exactly like on the studio, and singing (really) live that is not posible. He has breath problems and it's true that you can find videos with bad vocal performances too, but this is not an example of that. The problem is that a part of the fandom does not attend to what is happening on stage, and in the moment they can not find exactly the studio sound.... But in fact, here we can find a great live performer
Just saw Rob and Alice cooper 3 days ago. It was amazing and by far one of the best shows I've seen. The energy was unmatched. I honestly was blown away. Rob and Alice both just gave 100 percent.
Rob was one of my primary favorites of the many metal artists that laid the foundation for my love of metal. When I finally got the chance to see him in concert (which was just a few years ago), it was at a pretty big venue, but it wasn't exactly a big show. I'd heard it was because the show wasn't part of any major tour or anything. The crowd was divided into 2 sections, grass and pit; but even still, the crowd was surprisingly small. The pit (where I was standing) had A TON of space left after everyone had gathered in, and the lawn didn't have a very dense crowd either...but thats why it was the greatest show EVER!!! The thing is, I LOVE metal shows, but I hate big crowds. I can handle a big crowd just fine, I just don't find it particularly enjoyable. In other words, the less people, the better. And at a big venue like this, with just a small crowd of people, and one of my young life idols being on stage, it just made the experience that much more enjoyable! Rob didn't have an elaborate setup, just some banners of the OG horror movie monsters (Wolfman, Frankenstein, etc.). The opening act wasn't even officially announced, some DJ just came on stage and played some stuff. Crowd hardly responded because we didn't even realize he was supposed to be the opening act until like halfway through his set, but we applauded the dude anyway. But after that, lights went down, a short introduction audio played over the PA, and Rob simply walked on the stage and said whats up. This is where show got interesting...because Rob clearly had the OPPOSITE of stage anxiety, idk what the word for it would be, so I'll simply say he was just having a good time while not giving a fuck. The reason I say this is he comes on stage, says whats up, plays 1 song (I don't remember what the first song was unfortunately), and afterwards says, and I quote based on my best memory: "Wooow man, what is up Simpsonville, you guys are awesome! (crowd cheer)...Yeah you know what, they told me not to come to Simpsonville, said I'd regret it (crowd boos)...honestly...I mean, they were KINDA right, but you know what? fuck it, we got enough people here for a party and thats all that matters (crowd cheers and laughs) This was my favorite part because it felt so authentic. It didn't feel like Rob was pandering at all, he was being straightforward...Truth be told, he was clearly stoned af LOL, because immediately after that, he says, and I quote further "We got enough people and...beer and...hot dogs and...funnel cakes (crowd cheers and laughs)...you guys mind if I stop the show real quick to grab one cuz those things look good...no seriously can I? (we're just laughing at this point because we realize how stoned Rob is)...aw fuck it!!". But all jokes aside, he wasn't lying! He admitted that he knew this wasn't some big money making event, he was just kinda hangin out and giving us a good but simple show. This was without a doubt one of the most basic metal shows I've ever experienced from such a huge name...and thats why it was one of the greatest concerts I've ever experienced!
Bestial....... Rob Zombie danos mas material como este. 1998 fue un gran año, ojala se inspirara como para otro Hellbilly Deluxe, desde el 2006 no ha sacado nada bueno
I think Rob Zombie totally rocks live. The difference between him and anyone else is a Rob Zombie concert is a totally unique experience from the moment you get there until you leave. I think he sounds fine live! Give the guy a break, dude is 50 years old and has asthma and can still rock as hard as he does? Hell yeah! If you want a cleaned up sounding song just sit in your car and pop in the CD. Everyone complains that he has the crowd sing? What’s wrong with that? It’s not like they sing the whole song lmao, AND it’s an awesome way to keep the crowd involved. Beats the typical you sit and watch me sing. Hell nah. Keep rocking Rob! 🤘🏼
And the vocal performance is full of power too. Yes with age his tune has changed, and here he changes a little some lines, but he is respecting the style of the original recording. There are many rock stars that can't perform like he does even now
Will never stop listning to rob, i first herd this song when I was five and it scared the shit outta me, I'm now 43, still love it. Always will. ALWAYS.
For sure! Those were the good times when bad ass bands traded bad ass musicians around, creating a vortex of bad ass metal, gore and horror! Kids these days don’t know what they’re missing!
I saw the duo in "Chicago" last week Sunday, I cant believe the man is 53 years old, because he's filled with so much energy. It's also interesting to know that he's a vegan, that doesn't drink.

I’m a 63 YO woman and I absolutely love this song! The infectious energy is off the charts! ❤
Hell of a lot of energy for a 50 year old guy. I'd love to see some kind of Rammstein & Rob Zombie collaboration.
Rammstein has just as much if not more energy than Rob, so I would love to see a colab between them. They are both in my top 5 fav bands
+dominic garcia Till also takes time to fucking breath while singing live. Rob doesnt.
Why compare rammstein and rob? not the same genre. idiots enjoy the bands...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are they not both industrial metal?
Cubejam thats what I was thinking after watching Slipknot's 1999 debut energy till now drop
Rob zombie has aged tremendously well. His live performances have gotten better over the years, and he's never lost a beat throughout each album.
This is What He Looks Like In The '80$
I think at this point, we don't go to Rob Zombie concerts for impeccable singing, we go out of pure love and respect.
You forgot we also go for the adrenaline rush. My first concert was Korn and Rob Zombie, Return of The Dreads Tour 2016 in Dallas, TX.
I saw White Zombie live way back in the 90s and Rob was pretty much the same totally out of breath even back then.
Lol. He's always been thia way live.
And his band fucking slays.
I go see Rosanne Cash for impeccable singing. I go to see Rob Zombie for the energy and his showmanship. Gotta love him.
For all the people who say Rob can't sing live, give him a break. He has bad asthma, he always has, and his shows are awesome!
I've been to festivals with 50 or so bands. Zombie's shows was always top 3
If you want to listen to the songs he sings, just stay at home with your ipod. if you wanna see a killer performance, got to his shows
I never had a problem with his vocals, his lives shows are ALWAYS a spectacle!!!
AND for the ones who criticize his lyrical abilities..
. To Be fair. He did have a pretty dead girl

Gotta give it to the man, he's way outta breath but he's still one hell of a performer!

he's out of breath in every song. He's not a great performer live.
