  • Everything here is played in the key of Bb (musically speaking). The clip begins in 1st position on a Bb harmonica, then goes to the Eb harmonica for 2nd position. Then I go back and forth. This was recorded in August 2016.

That was a thankful creative change to all the other "only use a key of 'C' Harmonica to learn and play..." Can you give us a vamp using an Ab Harmonica lesson please? Just a short one for intermediate players that are RUclips subscribers as I'm not able to be a part of your Patreon set yet😊. Ever since I bought an Ab Harmonica a week ago it is my absolute favorite key to use. There's a soulful quality it has within it's Tone that is low, mournful and perfect for playing the Blues ~💡🎶🤙🏽🔥🌛

Cool, to switch harps, that are 2,5 notes apart. As You do it taking a Bb and an Eb Harp. Second position on the lower one is third position on the higher one. What a gain of possibilities in the I chord😀 Second position on the higher one is first position on the lower. So you can play the IV chord in second position! How cool is that?! I take a Crossover for the lower note and a Deluxe for the higher one. That makes it easy for me to know what is what. Thanks Ronnie for this huge inspiration🙏🏻

Love the mixing up of the harps! Only other person I’ve seen do that is Will Wilde!

Cooool Ronnie😀 Today I did the very same. I took the A harp in first and the D harp in second position (and the G harp in third) over a blues in A. Why? Because the upper octave is best for blues in first while second is best in the lower one (and third is best in the middle octave) At least in my perception. But how to switch and hold two (three) harps with elegance man? I‘ll work on it. I am excited to see how You will proceed in this idea😀

One of the best at holding and switching up to 3 harmonicas is Peter Madcat Ruth. Check out his videos! I'm guessing he might have something up on RUclips.

Ronnie I just discovered your "short" videos. Great play by ear challenges. You should offer a patron subscribed solution channel. I think I got the ones I have listened to far but it would be fulfilling to get confirmation.
