Shady is honestly one of my favorite characters in G1. She's just so funny on her own that I had to portray her as similarly as possible to her canon counterpart. So angsty and pathetic. But I love her. 🥰
The "What if we'll get a wet and catch pneumonia" was actual said in the movie. I Couldn't believe it. Also Shady running back at the end was also not acknowledged in the movie and makes your abridged scene so much funnier.
And they all died, expect for Shady. Who couldn’t even die right.

Yeah but the context of "one is missing and the other isn't" turns it into a non issue in this situation.
Kinda like the old naming conventions where children sometimes had the same name as a close relatives. Like Scipio Aemilianus (the younger) being named after his father Scipio Africanus, or Elizabeth I being named after both her grandparents of the same name, so three of them being around at once.
Ancient Romans were rather uncreative with names. The same few names would often alternate within a family/clan. Augustus/Octavian changed his name to Gaius Julius Caesar when he was adopted by Caesar.
Daughters were named after their family name and were then literally numbered by seniority if there were multiple of them.
IT DOES espefially when u watch IT once its baby buttons then its Burton then they capture all ponies and there arent 2 the same ponies THE BABIES ARENT EVEN LIKE REALLY SMALLER

I really like the idea of Hydia being a well-meaning, if judgemental, witch with no ill intentions... but whose entire social circle is genuinely malicious people, and she just never realizes that and defaults to bossing them around to get things done without understanding they do these awful things on purpose, not through stupidity.

A lot of shows could do well with a bit of maturity. Bratz actually did some animation’s of mean girls and a couple of other shows. I find the idea of two separate shows in the same continuity really interesting like Peanuts and Charlie Brown hearing the “womp womp” and they’re actually just cussing 😂

I love how the voice actors curse. It’s a much more natural delivery than you hear in most “adult” RUclips videos; where they overemphasize the curse words and it makes them sound like 12 year old who just discovered what cursing is.

Just found this channel after someone posted the baby bird skit. As a 40YO woman who grew up on these, this is amazing. How did you even get VOs to sound like they're from the 80's? XD Your Gusty is my favorite. I'll be back after I've chewed through all your skits.
Hehe thank you! Voice wise, I think it comes down to the effects and the way the actors talk. I think ponies should have weird grubby voices, becuase they're weird and grubby. I try to stay true to that. XD It's so cool that you grew up with the series! I only started watching it 2ish years ago and had no idea it was so creative and fun. XD Do you have a favorite character or episode from the original? Gusty is very fun to write for in the series. She one of my favorites from the original too. 🥰

I know it's not even part of the script here (which is hilarious by the way - Hank Hill, "She can write!?", Shady getting roasted, etc.) but the fact that Shady's cutie mark is literally 5 pairs of sunglasses had me burst out laughing. I need to set aside time to watch the G1 movies soon.

When I was a young boy, I was not at all interested in My Little Pony, but also had 3 older siblings and generally not a lot of control over what was on TV at any given time.
So the only real exposure to anything from Gen 1 My Little Pony that I had was the Smooze movie - most of which I didn't understand, but still paid enough attention to find the Smooze to be more threatening and terrifying than 90% of all other things in Saturday Morning Cartoons.
I'm not sure what this means today, but it's good to know 30 odd years later that there's still nothing that can stop The Smooze.
I was very surprised at the creativity and genuinely cool monster and magic ideas in g1 in general. The smooze is terrifying. A sentient flood that can't be killed, can go up hill and is always trying to seek you out? Insane!
Now that's a nice, clean burning volcanic fortress, I tell yah hwat.
I'm picturing the witch sisters in their balloon, haplessly waving a broom at the Smooze to try to shoo it back home. Oh well. As long as someone else gets the flume.
