I feel like escape the backrooms is hindered because it only has a single developer while apeirophobia is hindered because it's running on roblox studio
to be fair its way easier to use than things like unity or gamemaker studio/godot i gave up on trying to use unity and gamemaker reminder that tf2 runs on lua and so does every other valve game i believe
Escape the backrooms is a game on steam and yes, the game does look like a better game from a short view. But it's a game on steam. Roblox game for backrooms looks amazing too. I like Apeirophobia because it gets really deep in with the jumpscares. I would say that apeirophobia is more impressive. And also has less amount of bugs and better animations. The graphics are insane. But afterall it's a Roblox game made on Roblox studio. And I gotta give Apeirophobia the respect. It needs an oscar. I like both of the games. But Roblox is a game made for lego brick games. And there is a game for free even better than 70% of steam games. Trust me. Apeirophobia wins for me.

i still think escape the backrooms is superior imo, the inventory, the amount of levels and sublevels, playing that game is some of the most fun i have ever had in gaming, especially considering the massive new update. Apeirophobia however is beautiful in its own way, its a roblox game and it excells immensly due to that, so while i do prefer ETB as a game, apeirophobia is definetly more impressive bc of the limitations of roblox studio.
Honestly the jumpscare in ETB is somewhat lacking for me, it IS suppose to be a horror game, and it just seemed like they jumped on you and pulled a prank... Not at all "scaring" if Im being honest. But the graphics quality is definitely better tho.

I like both games! I just couldn't afford ETB but i watched many times the gameplay at Chuckens channel. He played both games with his group and both games were nice to watch. Just in my opinion i like Apeirophobia more(But i don't want to mean that is better!)cause i played it myself with many people and i found lvl 0+8 to be funny when seeing other peoples reactions. It kinda sucks how in ETB lights out you never see the monster anyways until you die where your most likely never going to die because you always know where the monster is and hes easy to avoid.

Escape the Backrooms definitely takes the win for me. I will say Apeirophobia has better animations and jumpscares but Escape the Backrooms has better graphics, more interesting game mechanics and features and is a more well rounded game. Obviously there are different reasons for both games having such limitations but both are great overall, I just prefer Escape the Backrooms more.
Escape the backrooms monster need a major design my least favorite is probably bacteria it’s unoriginal good design but being used to much and the skin stealer is to buff I will like to see a more skinny one I made my own design for both of them for bacteria or howler I made it hunch back and full of wires but more aligned than random and it’s face is a camera and for the skin stealer it’s skinny with a big slit in the chest with stitch’s when the monster unstitches it it will pulls out tool to remove the skin
