I was so inspired by her mention of the Montale Intense Tiarre, that I ordered it and upon the first spray liked it, but felt it was too floral and a tad bit cloying. Then I went back to her video to find that she already said it is a little cloying and milky but beautiful, however. Upon mixing it with a fresher fragrance, Intense Tiarre becomes a dream that will cut through the hall and make everyone drool. I have ordered Mancera Holidays and can not wait to mix the two and be the most delicious beast out there. I have forever searched for fragrances that are pleasing yet beastly and project. Montale and Mancera are the best bank for your buck and when we have Paulina on our side to test it for us, we have already won half the battle. Loved this recommendation.
Montale's Aoud Honey is great on its own and for layering in the autumn and winter for people who are on honey -amber vibe and like Kilian's Black to Black (more powdery + tobacco) and Hermes' Ambre Narguile (features a tart note). Aoud Honey is a more casual honey - but very rich, lush, deep and definitely should go easy on the sprayer. It is perfect to cuddle in it too, one spray in the hair after shower at bedtime is amazing. Especially to wake up in it on Saturday morning and start your day with french toast and glass of milk. I could mention few honey scents with different sour vibes, but this one is perfect - so well done.
I love Mukhallat. However, I think it requires a certain skin chemistry to pull off. At first it smells like strawberry bubblegum but then it dries down (on me) to this rich creamy almond vanilla with the slightest hint of artificial strawberry. I love it. Nothing like it in my fragrance collection. Definitely get a sample first and really try it out. It smells the best on me after one hour.
Yes, I agree! Fragrances like this smell amazing on me. I am a vegetarian, don't eat anything stinky (garlic, onion, etc) and eats tons of fruits, so my natural scent is a very light sweet musk. I always wear scents with musk and vanilla in the base because they smell like me.
Fully agree. Mukhallat starts off weird smelling, but then turns into this beautiful almond vanilla with a hint of strawberry. My wife always tells me she hates that one, then later in the day she will tell me how good I smell and I have to remind her it’s the fragrance she supposedly hates!
You sampled a lot of perfumes back to back without smelling coffee beans. This could do you nose fatigue. BTW I love your chanel and really enjoyed the video. Good idea, do more videos of this type. I would love to hear about serge lutens.
I just got it a week ago. I've been in a cave I guess..but OMG I love it too. My son loves it too. So I'm gona get him a bottle bc it helps him relax. Its intoxicating
Last recommendation about roses. Everyone is familiar with Montale's Cafe Intense and Roses Musk - both musky. Starry Nights is a different example of a well done Rose - more unisex and elegant, worth trying - it's one of my favorites. Another less popular release, which is a bit more serious, a bit more introverted, but absolutely gorgeous - it's called Montale Queen Roses. This is a deep dark but beautiful rose in the lines of Rose & Oud by Jo Malone but not as dense , Armani Prive Rose d'Arabie but is not as sweet, Portraint of a Lady F Malle but not as polished and matronly. And mind it - rose is not my favorite flower. Not only that I shy away from this note in perfumes, but I'm very picky when it comes to committing to a full bottle with rose in the notes. Smell is subjective and taste evolves with time. Therefore every recommendation is to be tested before buying.

I absolutely love your reviews because you are not afraid to say you don’t like something. I love your honesty! On top of that, your pronunciation is spot on. I have noticed that our tastes are slightly different but I can see where that is and make allowances. I have bought several perfumes on your recommendations. My nationality is also largely Polish and I love how you represent our nationality!
I cant get over how wonderful intense Cafe and Rose's vanille. I'm just afraid of 3 things. 1 they change the formula. 2 everyone starts wearing it and ONCE agian I'll smell like middle america..lol. 3 they increase the price like alot of other brands do once they get popular. I only hope they make flankers or other perfumes that are similar
Definitely gonna lay my hands on MANCERA HOLIDAY and MONTALE INTENSE CAFE. I think you should try the MANCERA AOUD VANILLE.....believing you gonna like it if not love it
If you don’t like Oud or wood and you’re tying to decide between Instense Cafe and Roses Vanille, go for Intense Cafe. I had both and ended up getting rid of Roses Vanille because the wood was too noticeable.
The Christmas compot you are talking about in my country we call "oshav" lol. Traversee du Bosphore by L'Artisan has this particular dusty+waxy dry fruit note on steroids. And Montale's Mukhalat - I didn't like as perfume, but it is incredible as car spray (if it's not leather salon). About Mancera I want to mention some that go under the radar, as the no-brainers will be mentioned by everyone over and over again. So, I love this very unusual scent Aoud Cafe - it's unisex and for autumn and winter. It's not sweet and layers great with vanila, rose and iris or orris. Pearl is another interesting one - it's fruity woodsy the same way Delina is, but it could pass as more unisex. Aoud Vanille - an eccentric chameleon, worth testing. All these require some time to spend with and a clean nose to tell their notes apart, rather than just enjoy how they are blended. And from montale ... maybe Aoud Shiny - not too bad either - casual and no weird surprises about it. Very likable, but you can smell the quality and may decide to replace some scents in the same vain mainly because of the quality.

I got roses musk after sampling intense cafe and not liking cafe so much...roses musk has similar vibes as intense cafe without the coffee..😁 Please try Michael Kors midnight Shimmer, and sexy ruby if you haven't. Two of my favourite designer perfumes
OMG. Your comment about mukhallat was exactly the same thing that came through my mind. That 80’s cheap strawberry shaped lipstick my sisters had. Apparently that thing run all over the world, for I live in Brazil. 😂😂
I also have sweet vanilla AND Vanille Absolu. If you’re shopping for Vanillas you need to try both. For me they do dry down almost identical and yes, the sweet vanilla projects more. But I couldn’t choose between the two because I love the Vanille Absolu so much…and yes like she said, it’s very simple..almost boring BUT in the best way possible. It’s just flat out the best and most simple vanilla I’ve ever smelled. I wear it to bed. Vanille Absolu in the sheets and sweet vanilla in the streets. (I don’t love the apricot opening of sweet vanilla, someone said it smells like over ripe fruit and now that’s all I can smell, but it goes away so quickly I deal with it. ). Hope this helps someone figure it out! :)

I think you are at least partially right about Vanille Absolu. I put it on my skin twice and I didnt get much from it. What i get is a minty smell plus vanilla, slight minty, not powerful. After that first phase, its a vanilic skin scent and not much more to it.
Hi Paulina!! .. finally someone who thinks like me concerning the "vanille absolue" by montale !!! I did not at all adhere to this fragrance which for me smells like "vanilla sugar for cakes" .. honestly it is not a good vanilla, and for the price it is not worth it! there are other fragrances at montale which are good, but "vanille absolue" is a "no no" .. you are really extremely professional and very "precise". Hello, same here I recently bought Montale's Intense Cafe which I absolutely love, but I also own Mancera's Roses vanille and they are BOTH extremely similar especially on the dry down. Good comparison! If you ever have the chance to try Tiziana Terenzi Delox, you should. It is also very similar to these but smells less synthetic and is a bit deeper and more well rounded (at least that's what my husband and I thought).

I was one of the folks who asked you about Intense Tiaré as compared to Holidays. At the time I already had Holidays, which I absolutely love. 🥰 Since then I've had the chance to test Intense Tiaré and I 100% agree with you. They are nothing alike. Holidays is brighter, more playful. While Intense Tiaré is more floral, softer maybe even sultry/seductive. So, of course, I had to get it. 😂 Now I'm going to have to try them together like you suggested. 😘😘

Maybe CV is what you get when you mix them together? 🤔 I haven't tried that yet. I didn't think I needed both CV & Holidays because the coconut in Holidays really comes through in the dry down. Now you got me rethinking that thought. 🤔 😂

I recently tried "Roses Musk" by Montale, it gave me a PdM Delina vibe, just more citrusy/ sour. It was actually this sourness that bothered me. The salesperson looked at me like an idiot when I compared the two. Oh well 🤷🏼♀️
Guys and gals, help me out! I want to try Montale, but I accidentally ordered a sample of Oud Leather Wood instead of Night Oud(?). I almost threw up. I know it’s masculine leaning, but thought it would spray it to get an idea of what Montale is about. I loved the power and longevity, even in the air! I definitely want to get into Montale for that reason, but now I’m scared! I want to blind buy the Intense Cafe based on the reviews. Hi! I think Intense Cafe is a safe blind buy as the coffee is ever so slightly present, but not strong. It's essentially a sweet vanilla rose scent. If you enjoy sweet fragrances, this will very likely be the safest bet.

I agree with how plain and simple is vanille absolu i have the body cream (which i loveee) but wouldnt like it as a fragrance too plain for me but its a really long lasting body cream 😍👍🏼

Dear Paulina, thank you for this overview. I have a question - can you please tell me a name of the shop you have all your Montales from? I purchased intense Cafe on Notino websites, but the the perfume which I was given smells a lot as an alcohol and can barely be noticeable after 3 hours. You advised the longevity is about 8 hours, but I can not smell it even if I sniff right the skin after few hours. Is it normal? Or did I receive a bad piece? What do you think? I would also ask you if you have (or had) batch codes on boxes and if you have adhesive labels in the frames at the bottoms of the bottles. It is really hard to tell, I heard that there was a reformulation of scents but I dont know when. Also, i have the same problem with vanille absolute and some people say its great on them so... maybe its the skin.

I have Vanille Absolu from Montale and the perfomance&longevity is amazing, I bought it int he Montale store in Paris and I have never gotten this many compliments about a fragrance and people saying that they smell me from a distance. Its a lovely boozy vanilla (to me it also smells a lot like caramel/vanilla fudge)

I just received Montale Intense Tiaré. Oh my god. Amazing even on its own. Please no more recommendations for the rest of this year! I’ve bought more perfume than I’ll ever use! (😂 the new year isn’t too far off!). Thanks again I love this recommendation and it smells like a more potent version of Mancera Holidays so I can see how the two will go well together. This transports me to Bali or Hawaii when you first walk into the hotel you’re hit with the most fragrant exotic flowers just stunning.

That stuff calls not compot but uzvar and made out of dry apples and plums. Yes, it is very East european Christmas drink😁😁😁 I would recomend you to try Mancera Wild Python, Roses Greedy, Gold Prestigium, Vanille Exclusive, Pink Prestigium(unisex), Black Prestigium (for man), Wild Candy, Musk of flowers, Wild Cherry, Purple Flowers(unisex), Instant Crush (unisex). From Montale I like very much Oudmazing, Red Oud(for man). I agree with you that Mancera and Montale are very unique.

I love mancera, I've got and used so many of them from velvet vanille to red tobacco to roses vanilla to black leather. My husband particularly love Hindu kush and cedrat boise. I've only ever had montale intense cafe. Both companies mostly put out beast mode fragrances
I agree Montale Vanille Absolute is too plain. I will try polish kompot drink one day :) We make kompots literally from every fruit and they all smell different. My eyes are on Mancera - Velvet Vanilla. Most of the people love it. Hope you review it someday:))
If you want a good dupe for BR540 you need to try DUA Casino Royale Nights. DUA does amazing fragrances and hybrids. I highly recommend cherry casino or drowning in cherry casino

Call me crazy but I own all 3 of the Intense Cafe ,,family" and as much as you are 100% correct they are super similar I can justify having all of them. I treat it as having backups of the Intense Cafe just slightly different hahahaha. I have Montale Vanille Absolu and it's quite potent and well performing in my perception and does have a prominent woody cinnamon accord (and trust me I don't appreciate weak and shy fragrances and demand a lot from them). I suppose we sometimes have to accept our noses operate differently (that's why with time I've gotten suspicious with reviews when blind buying). Hahahaha kompot z suszu ruined Chocolate Greedy for me too. And and and I was sooo close to buying Sweet Oriental Dream I'm kinda glad I didn't now. Sorry for such a long comment but oh boy do I hate Sweet Oriental Dream! It was the perfume disappointment of the year seriously. Great video Paulina and I love your nails girl. From other perfumes I could say I have Montale Tropical Wood and you may like it. It's a bit strange tho. It was my first blind buy ever and one of my first perfumes and I hated it at first but now I mix it with D&G Light Blue in summer and I love it. It's a rose oud combo with pineapple and leather which sounds a bit repulsive not gonna lie. It's extremely strong and smells a tiny bit like freshly ironed clothes for some reason. Maybe it's that metallic artificial vibe some of their fragrances tend to have. Anyway, it's original and I like it a lot now but don't recommend blind buying. ;)
As blind buy… I wish to give away Honey Aoud… 😢 too masculine for me and too strong. But I love Chocolate Greedy and Intense Cafe. Now I am waiting for Sweet Vanilla and Intense Tiare! (All are also blind buy!😅)

Hello , so I have both , roses vanille et rose musk , so roses vanille is more sweet and roses musk is more musky , but they are a bit similar , if you have them both you can use roses musk for night and roses vanille for daily and daytime
@@booboo2734 Roses Vanille is a beast in terms of both longevity and projection. Roses Musk also has a really good performance, but not as beastly as RV. You'll still not go unnoticed wearing it.

I'm just afraid of 3 things. 1 they change the formula. 2 everyone starts wearing it and ONCE agian I'll smell like middle america..lol. 3 they increase the price like alot of other brands do once they get popular. If you don’t like Oud or wood and you’re tying to decide between Instense Cafe and Roses Vanille, go for Intense Cafe. I had both and ended up getting rid of Roses Vanille because the wood was too noticeable.
The Christmas compot you are talking about in my country we call "oshav" lol. Traversee du Bosphore by L'Artisan has this particular dusty+waxy dry fruit note on steroids. And Montale's Mukhalat - I didn't like as perfume, but it is incredible as car spray (if it's not leather salon). About Mancera I want to mention some that go under the radar, as the no-brainers will be mentioned by everyone over and over again. So, I love this very unusual scent Aoud Cafe - it's unisex and for autumn and winter. It's not sweet and layers great with vanila, rose and iris or orris. Pearl is another interesting one - it's fruity woodsy the same way Delina is, but it could pass as more unisex. Aoud Vanille - an eccentric chameleon, worth testing. All these require some time to spend with and a clean nose to tell their notes apart, rather than just enjoy how they are blended. And from montale ... maybe Aoud Shiny - not too bad either - casual and no weird surprises about it. Very likable, but you can smell the quality and may decide to replace some scents in the same vain mainly because of the quality.
It was really interesting to hear your thoughts on these two houses 👍For me both are very much hit and miss. I actually have several videos planned for next week about these two houses 😍 My two favorites from Montale are Oudmazing and Sweet Peony.
I got roses musk after sampling intense cafe and not liking cafe so much...roses musk has similar vibes as intense cafe without the coffee..😁

OMG. Your comment about mukhallat was exactly the same thing that came through my mind. That 80’s cheap strawberry shaped lipstick my sisters had. Apparently that thing run all over the world, for I live in Brazil. 😂😂
I also have sweet vanilla AND Vanille Absolu. If you’re shopping for Vanillas you need to try both. For me they do dry down almost identical and yes, the sweet vanilla projects more. But I couldn’t choose between the two because I love the Vanille Absolu so much…and yes like she said, it’s very simple..almost boring BUT in the best way possible. It’s just flat out the best and most simple vanilla I’ve ever smelled. I wear it to bed. Vanille Absolu in the sheets and sweet vanilla in the streets. (I don’t love the apricot opening of sweet vanilla, someone said it smells like over ripe fruit and now that’s all I can smell, but it goes away so quickly I deal with it. ). Hope this helps someone figure it out! :)

I think you are at least partially right about Vanille Absolu. I put it on my skin twice and I didnt get much from it. What i get is a minty smell plus vanilla, slight minty, not powerful. After that first phase, its a vanilic skin scent and not much more to it.
Hi Paulina!! .. finally someone who thinks like me concerning the "vanille absolue" by montale !!! I did not at all adhere to this fragrance which for me smells like "vanilla sugar for cakes" .. honestly it is not a good vanilla, and for the price it is not worth it! there are other fragrances at montale which are good, but "vanille absolue" is a "no no" .. you are really extremely professional and very "precise". Try Montale Oudmazing :) really nice fragrance. Intence cafe for me smells cheap I don't understand the hype of it, tried liking it but just didn't work for me.

Hello, same here I recently bought Montale's Intense Cafe which I absolutely love, but I also own Mancera's Roses vanille and they are BOTH extremely similar especially on the dry down. Good comparison! If you ever have the chance to try Tiziana Terenzi Delox, you should. It is also very similar to these but smells less synthetic and is a bit deeper and more well rounded (at least that's what my husband and I thought).

The ristretto intense cafe is more feminine and has more of a rose smell dry down. It’s wears more intimately on the skin

I was one of the folks who asked you about Intense Tiaré as compared to Holidays. At the time I already had Holidays, which I absolutely love. 🥰 Since then I've had the chance to test Intense Tiaré and I 100% agree with you. They are nothing alike. Holidays is brighter, more playful. While Intense Tiaré is more floral, softer maybe even sultry/seductive. So, of course, I had to get it. 😂 Now I'm going to have to try them together like you suggested. 😘😘

@@amiedora Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've tried Coco Vanille, It's softer and sweeter than Holidays, but more gourmand than Intense Tiaré. Like it's right in between the two of them. Maybe CV is what you get when you mix them together? 🤔 I haven't tried that yet. I didn't think I needed both CV & Holidays because the coconut in Holidays really comes through in the dry down. Now you got me rethinking that thought. 🤔 😂

@@maxfransic0878 I think it is sexy but it is very sharp scent. Most of the niche tuberose perfumes are sexy in my opinion :) Gold Flower is oriental, spicy tuberose with ambergris in the background. Hope this helps

I recently tried "Roses Musk" by Montale, it gave me a PdM Delina vibe, just more citrusy/ sour. It was actually this sourness that bothered me.

Guys and gals, help me out! I want to try Montale, but I accidentally ordered a sample of Oud Leather Wood instead of Night Oud(?). I almost threw up. I know it’s masculine leaning, but thought it would spray it to get an idea of what Montale is about. I loved the power and longevity, even in the air! I definitely want to get into Montale for that reason, but now I’m scared! I want to blind buy the Intense Cafe based on the reviews. Hi! I think Intense Cafe is a safe blind buy as the coffee is ever so slightly present, but not strong. It's essentially a sweet vanilla rose scent. If you enjoy sweet fragrances, this will very likely be the safest bet.

I agree with how plain and simple is vanille absolu i have the body cream (which i loveee) but wouldnt like it as a fragrance too plain for me but its a really long lasting body cream 😍👍🏼

Dear Paulina, thank you for this overview. I have a question - can you please tell me a name of the shop you have all your Montales from? I purchased intense Cafe on Notino websites, but the the perfume which I was given smells a lot as an alcohol and can barely be noticeable after 3 hours. You advised the longevity is about 8 hours, but I can not smell it even if I sniff right the skin after few hours. Is it normal? Or did I receive a bad piece? What do you think? I would also ask you if you have (or had) batch codes on boxes and if you have adhesive labels in the frames at the bottoms of the bottles. It is really hard to tell, I heard that there was a reformulation of scents but I dont know when. Also, i have the same problem with vanille absolute and some people say its great on them so... maybe its the skin.

I have Vanille Absolu from Montale and the perfomance&longevity is amazing, I bought it int he Montale store in Paris and I have never gotten this many compliments about a fragrance and people saying that they smell me from a distance. Its a lovely boozy vanilla (to me it also smells a lot like caramel/vanilla fudge)

I just received Montale Intense Tiaré. Oh my god. Amazing even on its own. Please no more recommendations for the rest of this year! I’ve bought more perfume than I’ll ever use! (😂 the new year isn’t too far off!). Thanks again I love this recommendation and it smells like a more potent version of Mancera Holidays so I can see how the two will go well together. This transports me to Bali or Hawaii when you first walk into the hotel you’re hit with the most fragrant exotic flowers just stunning.
I had the same issue with vanilla absolute. I enjoyed it as a base for other scents to enhance the vanilla from them

I think Gentle fluidity gold smells so close to intense cafe but oud satin mood is completely different

I love mancera, I've got and used so many of them from velvet vanille to red tobacco to roses vanilla to black leather. My husband particularly love Hindu kush and cedrat boise. I've only ever had montale intense cafe. Both companies mostly put out beast mode fragrances

I agree Montale Vanille Absolute is too plain. I will try polish kompot drink one day :) We make kompots literally from every fruit and they all smell different. My eyes are on Mancera - Velvet Vanilla. Most of the people love it. Hope you review it someday:))
If you want a good dupe for BR540 you need to try DUA Casino Royale Nights. DUA does amazing fragrances and hybrids. I highly recommend cherry casino or drowning in cherry casino

Call me crazy but I own all 3 of the Intense Cafe ,,family" and as much as you are 100% correct they are super similar I can justify having all of them. I treat it as having backups of the Intense Cafe just slightly different hahahaha. I have Montale Vanille Absolu and it's quite potent and well performing in my perception and does have a prominent woody cinnamon accord (and trust me I don't appreciate weak and shy fragrances and demand a lot from them). I suppose we sometimes have to accept our noses operate differently (that's why with time I've gotten suspicious with reviews when blind buying). Hahahaha kompot z suszu ruined Chocolate Greedy for me too. And and and I was sooo close to buying Sweet Oriental Dream I'm kinda glad I didn't now. Sorry for such a long comment but oh boy do I hate Sweet Oriental Dream! It was the perfume disappointment of the year seriously. Great video Paulina and I love your nails girl. From other perfumes I could say I have Montale Tropical Wood and you may like it. It's a bit strange tho. It was my first blind buy ever and one of my first perfumes and I hated it at first but now I mix it with D&G Light Blue in summer and I love it. It's a rose oud combo with pineapple and leather which sounds a bit repulsive not gonna lie. It's extremely strong and smells a tiny bit like freshly ironed clothes for some reason. Maybe it's that metallic artificial vibe some of their fragrances tend to have. Anyway, it's original and I like it a lot now but don't recommend blind buying. ;)

Hello , so I have both , roses vanille et rose musk , so roses vanille is more sweet and roses musk is more musky , but they are a bit similar , if you have them both you can use roses musk for night and roses vanille for daily and daytime
