I appreciate this a great deal. My own save got deleted just as I was starting the Faro's Tomb questline. I had already put in so many hours collecting and doing sidequests and stuff that I did not have the time or energy to start all over again. This allowed me to "finish" what I started. Thank you.
Aloy seems more comfortable around Erand than Avad. She was pleasantly happy to see Erand at the Daunt, but uncomfortable when Avad was flirting with her.
I don't play games, but I love watching no commentary playthroughs to experience the game. I am so glad I came accross your channel, your playthrough are very well thought and played like a movie, which is the reason I watch these heavily story focused, high cinematic games. Binged through your Zero Dawn video, doing the same with this one. All I can say is, thank you, and well done. Your hard work is really appreciated. P.S : I also enjoy when sometimes I break out of the immersive effect because you get pissed off at an NPC standing in your way and shoot it, it cracks me up XD
11:57:01 thats the funniest moment for the whole story.. LOL I know what you feel. Btw thanks for making this video. I can only play HZD in PC so it feels good to watch whole story.
Well done! I have already followed your uploads for this game, mains and quests, and you play like it´s a movie. Do you think about this or does it just turn out that way? I already said that I loved the way you stop sometimes ingame to show us how beautiful the game is, and I like to think that you actually are amazed as you stop to do this. I like the way you play alot, but I think you play one time first and then do it one more time before you record. And that´s have you make it like a movie. But this is just me thinking to much about things that don´t matter ;P
Thank you. I do try and make my videos as cinematic and movie-like as possible. It makes for a much better video imo. Some people actually complain about it in the comments of my Last of us 2 full game videos, but it makes it much more tense if i slowly creep through a house full of zombies rather than run through it like an idiot lol. I try and play and make the character move and react exactly how a person would in real life. And yeah, i do playthrough sections of a game on my own and then i replay the section and record it. That's why it takes me a long time to get through and upload games, i'm pretty much playing through the game twice for my videos
@@SourceSpy91 I find it refreshing and nice. The last of us and 2 games was when I first came across your videos and found your play throughs was cinematic and I thought about how nice that was. I love how you play it just because of that little detail. I find commentary videos to get so noisy sometimes and those players are distracted from actually playing the game. I see that you do your research before you upload and that makes it like the best of the best out there. You show the best weapons too use and you show alot of the story, so that people who cannot play this game(like me) get to understand it. I am a sneaky player too, so I don’t mind the sneaking around. In the last of us I was amazed of how you always seemed to find a way around even the hardest spots.
Thanks :). It's just practice and patience, although it is kind of soul destroying having to repeat everything again and again. I'm going through Elden Ring at the moment and i'm getting burnt out already. I don't even think i'm a quarter through it, it's probably going to take me about two months to get through it. But it's what i have to do to make my videos as the best i can so i should stop complaining lol
@@SourceSpy91 I realise Elden ring is hard. And as long as you take breaks, it shouldn’t matter how long it takes. When you do it like this I feel the most important thing is not to overwork yourself. Remember that. Take care friend
finished the zero dawn video right before this one, right now 6 hours in and I am considering starting my own games up again too 😹there's just something about this franchise that I never get sick off
I prefer this over watching others where they show everything in the game without warning people of spoilers and who haven’t played it yet and it takes days to get through the video
Thank you very much!, I love your video, it's like watching a really long movie. Also love how you play. Now I will see the complete version (with side quests). Thank you again, for me is the only way I could "play" or watch this games for I can't afford to buy a PS4 or neither a PS5
I mean you can see a lot of elements similar to other games climbing looks sorta like ghost of tsushima, the grabbing of crates and moving around equipment looks like last of us, both PS games
I would have appreciated an intensive and complex main story despite hundreds of side quests and new weapons... I was really looking forward to this game, because of its prequel that showed an intensive, long and complex story. Just compare the number of main quests to the prequel... The new game is just a better version of all those open worlds games out there. The main story is under complex, sometimes more than disappointed - just look how poorly Ted Faro is treated? After achieving the basis, when allowing people to choose in which order you collect the three components of GAIA I already new, the next three quests are not going to contribute anything to the main story, because you do not have to complete them in linear order, so all three strands must be completely playable on it's own. If you look at the main story objectively almost nothing happened and it's almost completely separated from the tribes and there problems within: Aloy travels via a city to the West. There you find Minerva or equivalently "a basis" and learn about the Zenith and Beta. Cut. Then you travel to the leader of the Tenakth, help him - although you barely learn anything about the Tenakth -, collect in random quests - also not related to main objective - the other two components and find Beta by accident. You find Fero's Tomb, a guy you heard stories about for years, but not even able to see his now form; he's just shot by a random Tenakth? Then finally, the main story continues: You travel to GEMINI to catch Hephaestus and meet the ominous Zenith again. But now it's already over because with a little twist you can get Sylens to join your team and defeat the Zenith. Only surprising fact in the end... the signal was not sent by the Zenith themselves, but by a cliffhanger for part 3. The side quests are better done than in most open world games and they try to deepen the main story, especially the different tribes and their battles within. But sometimes it's not even clear how to do them in the right order and at which points of the main story. Despite that, I was annoyed by new farming and grinding needed. Doing a 90 min quest on the cauldron is not enough, now you also have to farm 5-6 machines afterwards. Upgrading weapons needs hours and hours of farming at night, etc. etc.
It's not a good game, it's a step dawn from previous game in my opinion.I have platinum and 300 hour on ZD, but this game was garbage for me, i played 10 hour and delete, watched rest of the story on youtube.
great gameplay, but the game ending was total BS, i expected more after watching over 15 hours, why couldn't they do a happy ending, now it looks like they are going to milk it even more with another DLC.

Hate how no one is talking about how this is casually one of the best pieces of science fiction writing in all of videogame history.
Really good video, Enough to see the game, not enough to see he entire game. Thanks.
Ashly Burch did a brilliant job on voicing Aloy and it's such a brilliant game!

That is so not fair. I get that it's a video game, but even though they're wearing armor, a headshot should be an instant kill.
Hhheeeeyyy a 16 hour movie. Perfect!
Ok youre gameplay is amazing! but can we talk about how Kotallo is a beast even with 1 arm 😵😵
Apollo is back you guys! Now the tribes can learn the old world.
At 49:25 I just finished watching a playthough of zero dawn and I want to see forbidden west but, Varl, you're making this hard.
All the exploring and collecting and crafting weapons stuff is reminding me of The Last of Us. Haven't actually played it, just watched a playthrough.
I mean you can see a lot of elements similar to other games climbing looks sorta like ghost of tsushima, the grabbing of crates and moving around equipment looks like last of us, both PS games
2:09:42 did yall hear that or is it just me..
I heard it 😂😂
So Varl is essentialy the surrogate for the player who didn't play Zero Dawn First?
1:05:20 Wtf is happening to her legs. Like, is she affraid of heights since they are shaking like tkat? :D - Very nice playthrough!
And now that I've seen the ending of this one, I feel like that could've been a plug into a third one.
I literally completed zero dawn today
