Can someone doing an interview with Yngwie please ask him why he never plays a full song live anymore? It's always just verse, chorus then solo. He literally hasn't played a complete song in years.

I truly wish he had a singer... Not because he's Terrible or anything but it would (as we know from the past) allow him to just focus on the guitar and being a showman. What happens with this is, is you get half hearted singing. And a less exciting show.

Alex Thorn: The 1st time I saw him "try" to sing was when he had Joe Lynn Turner with him in 1987. He was doing back-up vocals on the chorus parts and Joe Lynn Turner would look over to his left at Yngwie with a "WHAT are you doing" expression on his face that was hysterical. Yngwie has such a natural talent to play guitar, bass and he dabbles on drums, he must figure, I can sing too!
If he comes to my local area I usually try to get out and see him but if he's not bringing an actual vocalist on this tour, I'll stay home.

Yngwie is good singing, very good, like my uncle singing at christmas party, very good and enjoyable... but not anywhere near the all star prodigy gifted super hero singers he had in the past... back in the day, since the Jeff Scott Soto era, the bar was settled ridiculously high, not even for a good pro singer to try without thinking
